TIred. Been tired a lot lately.
A nice sunny day here in paradise, actually went to the beach for a spell…! ;-)

Sac is still here. How are you?
Great, Suz.
m.u.g.g.y.
Machine Gun, first take, Peter Brotzmann, that is what’s on my mind (and CD player).
beach time is always sweet.
i went into tillamook to do some grocery shopping today and it was sorta raining when i took the bags to the car. and, of course, a band of showers moved through as i was unloading the car at home.
as soon as i got inside, it cleared up and was a pretty nice afternoon.
hey janeane — how ya doing tonight (beside the great music)?
It’s getting a bit warmer here (NYC), but aside from that, I’m doing pretty well.
Brotzmann on tonight (again). Free jazz forever…
Senator and all evening and thanks Mary.
hey bb — how’s your bay tonight?
Hi, Suzanne, how are things tonight far away from new yawk ?
We had a canoe regatta for the keiki today in Hilo Bay, it’s fun watching the 8-10 yro’s paddling their little hearts out…! ;-)
evening, Suz … firegods
hey mac — doing well on the oregon coast — you?
Your weather is not boring…like Hawaii comes and goes quickly.
hey ppd — how’s the south south bay?
FUCK.. i forgot to dive.. hang on.. be right back
*running to the locker room*
I am a little sad because Manute Bol passed away.
A friend of mine is a documentary filmmaker, and he has been making a film over the last 2 years in Sudan, and Bol was featured quite a bit in it. My friend was good friends with him, and he’s quite sad tonight (naturally).
Bol belonged to an organisation of Christians and Muslims committed to stopping the violence in Sudan. The film was, in part, about that organisation.
good thanks — how are things up north?
not bad at all and “Aloha!”
I’m practicing my cultish jargon for next week when the niece comes.
boing boing back one-and-a-half somersaults, tuck position
oh no, she’s over-rotated and kur-splaaaaaaaaaash *the crowd groans in unison*
judas forking priest that water is cold
Can we PLEASE get a towel over here?
he really was a good man. my local news showed some clips of his work in and for sudan.
Went for an hour jog along the sand trails in the back back bay. It was too gusty for rowing. Noticed the halfmoon overhead in the afternoon. Visited with my Okinawan style karate neighbor a bit as he had suggested barefoot running…I use socks. reading yoga books and am I behind the learning curve. OK thousands of years of technique so do what I can. Google Pranayama, asanas, meditation and you will see what I mean.
How is your Netarts Bay. High tide in the afternoon so maybe wildlife was out.
Yeah, he was. He was really young, too. Only 47.
Ya coulda warned us you planned to blow it and drown all of us… Sheesh ☂ ☂
Outta practice are we…? ;-)
i get more birds on the bay as the tide is going ok and they are scooping up their exposed dinner. just before sunset, the bay was smooth as glass, reflecting the clouds as they slowly passed by.
Kelly?
Do you serve towels with your showers Suz?
i warned ya’ll last nite that i was outta practice.
hey nahant
hey loohoo — how ya doing?
Loo?
PPDCUS!!
kelly? how’s denver?
how’s your hawk nahant?
For everyday posting you are showing great stamina (caffiene?)
Need to work on that timing so you don’t over rotate take a deep breath, let it out slowly and try it one more time. You can nail it.
It’s a bit warm – was just outside, turning off the sprinklers and yakking with a neighbor for a bit.
Claire – the CO Green Party chair – was walking her dog. Nice chat.
tis more like i haven’t been on a diving board since the end of summer last year. i’ve settled into a groove hosting and it’s not as tiring to me as last week was.
raining. raining. raining.
I did make a fresh batch of kim chee today, though.
Cultish jargon indeed, eh…? ;-)
They didn’t show up today .. but that is not unusual… Yesterday the male came by 3 times for pictures and to squawk at me..
hey et — the land of the midnight sun hasn’t gotten any in a while iirc. how ya doing?
Mmmm – sambal oelek. A staple in my house.
Awesome…! In Korea they bury it plastic bags or clay pots…!
i’ve never tasted any et, but reading that recipe, yikes, spicy!
I lurked through the book salon on the war book. I was not convinced occupation is in the best interest of those folks or that all those violent hostilities will lead to stability. maybe CT understands better. The arguments less fatalities than other wars and other positions seemed specious and out of place at the Lake. Just my sense that war was echoed by comparisons with no intervention in Africa where millions died.
Hugh, CT, Margaret and Ecanomics seemed to hold the line for us.
Ya, ya, Kelly. I saved this for you.
Hiya, Suz.
I haven’t tried that yet, CT. Thinking about it is cracking me up, though. My dog would want to copycat what I was doing. Oh, wait. He already does that.
Hugh was awesome.
Nahant, I think he’s your friend now. He probably admires your plumage, lol.:)
that one was a stunner.
hey margot — how ya doing?
Something… I do have good plumage…LOL!!
Weeee! Thx!
Hey, Suz! Preparing for a mega Father’s Day party tomorrow. I so love my dad. My brothers and all grandkids are expected…he’s having some major back surgery in early July. A nerve problem…sciatica issues.
Hey Suze, I DID get my official Paul Thorn “Pimps and Preachers” set, including the record, another record of song demos and a coffee-table book of Paul’s paintings which are modern-day Crumb-like masterpieces.
Crumb has a book out, the illustrated book of Genesis. A masterpiece. I’m as religious as a brownie but the Book of Genesis with Crumb’s illustration is something to behold.
Hey, Ed*ard Teller!
Cultish Jargon Club member Hmmm here, reporting for towel duty.
oh sweet.. i’m double jealous — i would love both those books. gonna have to save up my pennies or put them on my b/day and christmas lists this year
hiya margot
A couple more Pictures of coop the Hawk
ouch loohoo — my step dad is having the lower half of his replaced twice total knee replaced middle of july. i hope your dad has an easy and speedy recovery with significant relief.
hey hmmm — i needed towels earlier…. i spoooshed all over everyone
Yeh, saw that. BTW, your coach is on line 3…
fuck *sigh*
Yikes is right. Two tablespoons of hot chili past diluted into about a quart and a half isn’t terribly spicy.
Buck up, you’ll be getting 10.0′s again in no time. Trust me on that.
I noticed he ventured over to ET’s post too…! Don’t feed the trolls seems to be the best recourse…! 8-(
it is when one hasn’t eaten spicy food in a long time. my mouth has gotten all gringo on me and i can’t tolerate hot chilies anymore :(
Is toweling a Hmmm job?
Downright WUSSY!
Throw a tablespoon of that sambal oelek in your head when you have a cold – and POW!
I totally believe in chilies.
best to your step-dad, for sure. I’d never seen dad flat on his back before…
I was gonna mention that the ‘broth’ looked rather pale…! I like it really red and hot myself…!
Damn. We have to work yer palate back up. I’ll mail you some Hatch Green Chili jelly.
Hiya, Loo Hoo.
10:00 p.m. and raining and raining. Just talked to Ms ET, who went to the Arcata (CA) Oyster Festival today with the kids. They’re going over to the park at the Avenue of the Giants Redwoods tomorrow. I love that place.
seems to have volunteered which is great since no one had. i got spoiled last year when i had several folks would would voluntarily offer me a towel after a dive.
Hey Suz, all’s well here. Hot and humid, but because of it plants grow inches overnight, I’m sure of it.
So true. Been trying (too hard I think) to remind folks about restraint, decorum, and not replying to trolls. Ain’t catching on, that I can see.
But yeah– Man, with the weird antique wording I swear that commenter’s channelling Montgomery Burns himself.
one of my geraniums has finally flowered. my peony is getting ready for a second bloom which it has never done before. those winter storms after it bloomed seems to have convinced it that it is spring again.
I also fetch coffee. And design stuff, though evidently nobody needs that this year.
Holy f—in’ tornado.
I’m playing a section of Coltrane’s OM (it’s the main sax duel between Coltrane and Sanders), and I accidentally hit the play button on the above Bugs Bunny cartoon, therefore combining the two for 35 seconds.
Holy shit….they meshed in some weird way….far out…
hmmmm coffee *in best homer simpson voice*
Sweet. I need to get there myself!
oh that is too cool! i love it when cartoons sync with music.
Amazing music for Bugs.
That would be great to hear…wonder if you could replicate it?
Simpson, eh?
hey eblair — how ya doing tonight?
aw shit, i did it again… dammit i hate it when i get the 100
Hi PPDCUS, how are you doing?
Hey Suz check out his picture of Tucker you will get a chuckle out of it!!
Yeah, it is cool, really cool.
There’s sort of a name for it if one wants to be technical. Charles Ives called it “multiple colliding techniques”, playing several different bits of music to make a new composition.
Ives was an American composer that Zappa admired a lot and used some of his theories in his own music.
hahahaha that’s too funny dood
This is the bit of Coltrane I was listening to….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieifnB3c2zU
I’m not sure how it happened. I was just switching between windows, so it was an accident, but a really cool one.
Okay, as was totally expected, JAPAN gets the mineral rights in Afghanistan.
Can we give it up now?
can’t be a full Homer without the donuts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbs64GvGgPU
slow connection tonight, but otherwise, fine
We laughed like hell when it happened… Tucker seems to think that he is in charge of Icky….
i used to have a bumper sticker on my car that said bad cop no donut. i was really pissed when it got stole one night parked on the street in front of my apartment.
But, hey. Congrats!
Nice work on the 100, Suz.
HA! CLASSIC!!!
hey bg — i swear its like i am jinxed just because i don’t wanna snag it on my own threads.
how ya doing?
time to pick up our toys and send the players home.
aw thanks loohoo — that’s a great award
Afghanistan –> Lithium –> Japan –> Toyota –> Tesla –> Electric cars in the US
they take the car too?
Great Spirit like it there in the old redwoods. I have ehard they once reached across the continent. Awesome trees, I used recycled redwood deck to make the backyard patio and veggie planter…toxic to bugs mostly.
Time to come home, undoubtedly. How in the world can anyone seriously claim that we should be in Afghanistan? For what purpose? Are we now going to send kids to protect gems, gold, and lithium for the uber-wealthy???
just the bumper sticker :(
I don’t know how to do it, but it would be cool to find the meshing parts and make a mash-up to put on You Tube like all the kids with the mad skillz do.
See today’s book salon. To call it controversial would be a great understatement.
there was a reason this old info was given to risen to splash across the front page of the nytimes…. was it to start of the change of the reason why we are there?
That was a rhetorical question, wasn’t it? Sometimes even I can tell.
Zappa RIP. You have interesting taste…a music duel!
nite pups ✌
yes it was :)
g’nite nahant
It was to hype up enthusiasm for more war! Glory be.

Kind of a “Well played, Sir!” moment to Karzai. Short-circuited that but good.
Very cool pic nahant the vibes they are sharing!

i am going to my new magic carpet to check on my inner self if i get an answer I’ll be back. Have fun and as my teacher says be happy as you are.

Living in Alaska for 37 years, I can tell you that dealing with Japanese businesses can be rewarding or not. Some of my own experiences when fishing commercially or running fishing charters were great; others were pathetic.
Japanese businesses tend to be getting greener this past decade, and in that unique, simply straightforward yet oblique way. Comparing Japanese business practices in Alaska to those of the oil companies, I’ll take the former every time.
The Sweetie and I are nodding off on the couch together… so I’m off for the night… sweet dreams to all and sundry, hope everyone has a simply beautiful Sunday.
Truth. Night, folks.
g’nite hmmm
g’nite loohoo
What’s on my mind is the discovery of Sarah Palin poetry; here’s a sample:
Source: http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/classic-country/it-wasnt-god-who-made-honky-tonk-angels—kitty-wells-14946.html
About the same time Obama’s parents were faking his birth certificate, Sarah Palin wrote the above, but she couldn’t go on TV talking about sex as a four year old, so she got Kitty Wells to sing it.
I think this is really going to help Sarah. Make us a better nation. Also.
hey gannonguckert — how ya been? ubetcha.
time to go out canoeing in the rain.
g’nite et
well, looks like its sleepy time for everyone, including me.
