Early Show: BORN ruffians “What To Say”
Late Show: The New Pornographers “Your Hands (Together)”
What’s on your mind tonight?
Aloha, ES…!
evening, ES, CT
Good heavens, I didn’t even log on until almost LLN. Happy Saturday all!
Bit quiet in here!
Good evening, fPups.
Aloha, PPD and CE, looks like a slow Friday nite…! ;-)
BORN ruffians – freaky!
Howzit, Bra…! It’s been a spell…! ;-)
We watched until just moments ago, a film we never heard about: Seven Pounds with Will Smith. It was heartbreaking, but good! Anyone?
Hey, or should I say, Hiya! How is life?
I have been avoiding it for just that reason.
Hi CT! Great to see you too. Been hanging around mainly during daylight hours lately.
I see your local deity is going strong tonight. Hope the vog’s been tolerable there.
I was surprised — we usually hear about movies in advance. Did you know about this?
Someone whose opinion I trust told me that it was heartbreaking. I know zero details about the film except the casting of Will Smith.
OTOH, someone sent me “TWELVE CHAIRS” on DVD recently, so I will opt for comedy.
ES! Pups!
My middle’un receives her HS diploma next Friday…! *g*
Both of my girls have graduated HS and neither were knocked up once in the process…! Now, I’m only worried about junior boy a’knocking…! ;-)
evening, CE … hey newt
Even if we didn’t believe any of the seven stories, we wept. Maybe it was Friday and very late, too. Hey pal!
evening PPD
The New Pornographers piece is good.
Aloha, ndfg…! Nobody up at the Haus…? *g*

Not a Will Smith fan?
I can’t work that complicated . . . .
Killin me.
Howdy ES, CE, NEWT, Pups and Poodle Clubbers!
I wanna know who controls the ropes and lets this riff raff into the club . . ;-)
Hiya PPDCUS! What say you this very late night!
Dude, when to ya fly East?
Oh the joys of father hood?
Man I’m glad I missed parenting . . . .
I woulda whomped kids and friends both . .
;-)
Heh heh!
I’m a fan. I just don’t need the sad.
I do set a lower bar…! Altho, my eldest also receives her Master’s in Psych a week later, and, she’s already enrolled for her Doctorate…! ;-)
;-)
aloha, ct! congrats on the kiddo … my baby graduated from college last year. And my Baby Brother turns 50 this year … all the folks in my life are conspiring to make me feel old. Harumph.
Haven’t seen the movie . . . guess I don’t know the sad.
His movie about the epidemic, and NY and such, was a tough watch, I’ll admit.
But this one I haven’t seen . . . . so . . . ok.
Smith is a great actor. Taken great parts, that broke hearts.
And mended them.
All that I was sayin . . . .
Old is 80 or more.
Yer ok.
;-)
It’s three hour earlier here, CE
Oh! I didn’t realize that. Sorry!
why thank you, young man!
CT-You around?

Wow — that’s great!
Truly impressive. You must be very proud.
Self realization to you all and good evening from the back Morro Bay. I am blessed by a wonderful yoga teacher who is leading out of my illusions into enlightenment one step at a time. Went for a row on the bay at dusk the prana is fine.
Self realization to you all and good evening. Rowed the bay at dusk the asana practice showed itself in the performance. Balance and coordination was nice and the prana was healing. Am blessed with a yoga teacher who is leading me out of my illusions into enlightenment one step at a time. Nice to move off of the plateau of the learning curve. Hope you are all happy.
Dood, when they’re handing out medals for not firing your weapon… Up is down…!
“courageous restraint” awards
WTF…?
Btw, I fervently pray that they deep sixed that Einstein…! 8-(
I wish I was happy.I’m going through stages of grief that are kicking my ass. I don’t know what to do with the anger, it’s not stuffing well. Damn, my theory is when you get to a certain age your Stuff Bag is full. Then you’re at the age of Familial Demise/Aging Parents with a stuffed full emotional/memory backpack. That’s where I’m at.
Thank you, sincerely, for reminding the need for balance. The need to nurture one’s self.
Peace
Fire At Will . . . .
Don’t shoot, I’M Will!!!
Don’t shoot!!!!!!

My wife lost her parents before I met her, and married her.
We watched as both my mom and pops died from alzheimers and parkinson’s, over a few years.
That’s been some 8 years or so ago.
I wish YOU the best of your grief.
I lost mine, and mine lost hers before I met her in ’84.
We lose them.
We grieve.
We do what has to be done as they pass, and their stuff’s dealt with.
Bless ya, but, we’ve all been thru it . . . if you need help, say so . .
At some point, we all also have to get past it, and decide how we will survive their passing.
N that’s some hard shit, too . . . .
Best wishes for it all.
I still miss mine, a lot.
They both brush my shoulders, once in a while.
In dreams, in the light of day.
But so do friends from the 60′s and 70′s I lost.
They all brush my shoulder, occasionally.
Go figger. I don’t, I only smile.
But they brush my shoulder. All of them.
I don’t mind.
Good morning all. Wassup?
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. In “Arms and the Airport” Ms. Collins says that even in the Old West, patrons checked their weapons at the door. But some southern states are now pushing for guns in bars. Let’s see — a bunch of liquored-up rednecks with guns… What could possibly go wrong? Mr. Blow, in “Liberals in Limbo,” says conservatism is rising, but it will surely fizzle because it is fueled by anger and desperation, not ideas. From his typing fingers to God’s eyes… Mr. Herbert, in “An Overdue ‘Welcome Home’,” says one of the largest gatherings of Vietnam War veterans is scheduled to take place in Wisconsin next week as a tribute to the service and suffering of American troops.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and I’ve got French toast for breakfast. It’s an absolutely beautiful morning, 65° and sunny, so I’m taking my tea and a book out to the garden, where my zucchini is still alive. This is the longest it’s ever lasted before the Dread Squash Vine Borer shows up, so I may actually get some zucchini this year! Have a great day.
Good luck on your zucchini, Marion. I don’t have a garden, but you usually have to hulk around behind a mask & lock your car doors during zucchini season here, otherwise you get inundated from people with gardens. Last year I had to whine to get just a little from friends and buy the rest. Don’t know the details of why it was so sparse.
