About Firedoglake
Aloha, Suz…!
aloha ct — how’s paradise tonight?
Kinda dreary all day, but, comfortable with the tradewinds blowing…!
had glorious sunshine and blue skies until mid afternoon when clouds rolled in off the coast and made it all gray.
Great cartoon, Suz!
hey loohoo — glad ya liked it. how’s socal tonight?
Light shower falling right now…! Wow, the County’s Hazmat truck and a firetruck just pulled in next door at the Naniloa hotel…!
One of my favorite toons — love them!
Hee! Tweety!
Going down to 42 F here tonight — they even mentioned snow. Oh, good grief!
hey ce — glad ya liked it. how’s ohio tonight?
hey kelly — how’s denver tonight?
brrrrrrr
Be careful, CTuttle.
I know! I’ve had flip flops out for weeks, and today I had to wear a coat and scarf. Patches of blue seen, though.
It’s warming up here. Sleeveless today, but it’s supposed to cool back down tomorrow. Hope it rains again.
Cool, they left almost as fast as they arrived…! ;-)
Growing up in Minnesota, it was always a wonderful springtime event to go outside with no shoes.
Supposed to rain in the Bay Area tomorrow.
hey that guy — how ya doing tonight? i thought it was hot and allergyie down there? rain will help clear out all the pollen
Hiya Loo Hoo!
Living in Delaware and PA, we were free to live barefoot for most of the year. Here in Cleveland, I can’t wait to get those shoes off in April. Stocking up on cashmere socks is my new quest.
i was an always barefoot in the house kinda gal until i moved to the cabin. there i discovered slippers.
now that i am in oregon, i have discovered socks *and* slippers. i’m celebrating being back to slippers as a sure sign of spring.
I actually had to turn on the A/C briefly here in the Weasel Den this afternoon. I slept most of the day but it was gorgeous here.
Busted!
How are you? Great to see you up late!
hey busted — it was spectacular until the clouds came in here. how ya been dood?

You must be tough! I was in socks just last week, but it’s off and on. I think the socks are off now. So much less laundry in the summer!
I never get sick of this.
Or this.
Or this.
Or this.
As ornery as ever!
Lol.
This is the first time in memory I haven’t been face planted by now on a Saturday night.
Thought I’d stop by and say howdy.
whatcha got dood? hit me with your best shot
Hey guys!
Go check out the blog of Mike Ziccardi. He is from UC Davis and is helping save birds. He is way up on my list of good peeps. And he is workng himself terrible hard. Any words of encouragement would be wonderful.

I’m fixing to play some Styx! Loud!
It’s Saturday night — let’s shake!
And Kelly…such reminders!
This too…
If Ya Wanna Get To Heaven…!
Gthud y’all.
styx
Of course, you realize it’s just numbers put closer together. Still, the whole Spinal Tap thing was just too easy to not use it.
All the ’50s-era Fender amps go to 12. All my amps are clones of ’50s-era Fenders, thus they go to 12. My Super (which has little in common with the later Super-reverb amp) is a “rip your head off” amp with a Telecaster attached to it. My hearing may suck but my amps sound GOOOOOOOOOOD.
mrce says…
g’thud dood *smooches*
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT CHOICE. One of the very best songs from the ’70s.
Aloha, Busted…!
ooooooo love otis
Me and Dennis DeYoung Damn You! LOL!

First show I ever saw was ELP.
Chicken Train
Laser Beam – in mah dream…
First show I ever saw was the Who at the original Fillmore in 1968. I had to wash and wax my sister’s boyfriend’s car to get him to take me, my parents wouldn’t let me go alone.
i’ll see your elo and raise ya a bto

Sometimes ya just gotta keep on smilin…
Fine. I was telling the parents of a friend about my call to Murdock last week. They were all, “And did you get through?”
“Yes. And his response made the Keith Olberman show, the LA Times and the Huffington Post.”
Them [!??]
g’nite ce
oooooooooo i’m so impressed with ya spocko — your hard work and determination finally got heard
Nite Suz
I’ll bet everyone forgot all about the Average White Band. I did until my brother sent me a concert lineup last week.
Let’s do the Time Warp! [In Italian too! Why Not? Per Che no?]
I know it, spocko!!! I’ve been fist pumping all over the place for you! And to think we were the first to know here at LLN!
play that funky music
In June of ’83, I attended this little soiree at Red Rocks…! ;-)
Love it
sa-weeeeet dood
Thanks.
The media like the conflict, it’s easy to report on, but the bigger story is of course that RW crazies aren’t a slam dunk for making money anymore.
In the face of the financial good news at NewsCorp I pointed out that they were carrying Beck. I have proof and Murdock dismissed it. You would think that some of the radio and TV publications might note that. But you would be wrong. I tried to get them to “follow the money” but that is hard, especially with a big corporation. And if the money isn’t enough nobody cares.
LLN is the place to BE! I need folks to talk about the ideas and help me understand how best to say it. Suzanne is a great host. It’s like Cheers. Someone asking how you are doing it important. It’s that community thing.
i think it left a mark — one that will be remembered and hopefully be used in the future.
he can’t hemorrhage money forever
Schweet!
I got those bitchez later at ASU when they did Rattle & Hum, When they sang “El Pueblo, Ben Sera” it was MAGIC!
They were $5 tickets at ASU.
(laughing) my girls used to call me cliff clavin when they were young because i knew a little bit about most about everything.
And here, back by popular demand, is the British Petroleum Theme Song.
That’s a keeper. Old, unknown. Great.
Great pick, Suz.
I have the honor of having brought “Rocky Horror Picture Show” to Star Fleet.
We had three showings. I dressed up and everything. First two showing were great. The third had a group of Star Fleet rejects from some frat who came and threw cans at people all during the show. Spoiled it.
hey larue — how ya doing tonight?
senator!
Well I see you more as the beloved bartender.
evening, Suz
Wrong Version.
Kittehs!
as long as i’m not diane, we be good :)
I love it when you call me that.
Duck walks into a bar in Louisiana.
Bartender says, “What’ll ya have?”
Duck says, “A shot of degreaser. Put it on my bill.”
Tired. Up early to pick with pals at a Farmers Market,
N a brutal day allergy wise.
The dang med got me tired, and I’m still sneezin.
Shit happens, I guess.
Had a BAWL pickin and sangin early today, though.
*G*

music is always good for ya dood. i hear rain is coming — that will help with some of the allergens
That one quacks me up every time.
;-)
Nope… Yer Carla, M’dear…! ;-)
A rabbi, a priest and a minister walk into a bar and the bartender says “Is this some kind of joke?”
I just heard that recently but Ron said it was old.
But yours is so timely.
edit: this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZBlT9ycecQ
You woulda had to been there but this was in the “No Martin Luther Holiday” time in AZ.
The people in the crowd kept singing “El Pueblo, Ben Sera” [The people will be OK] Over and Over and Over again, out into the parking lot.
It was amazing, and one of the most musical moments of my life. Seriously.
Thank Jeebus. I have been nonfunctional for a week. Have been working on a diary in my head though.
fuck…. nice carla or madder than a wet hen carla?
*rubbing hands gleefly in anticipation*
oh goody
Yeah, I hope so.
Loved yer vid, BTW.
All things said and done, life is good.
I’ve no complaints, other n idjits at Seminal.
But Mz. Hamsher pretty much schmeared them all to heck, earlier today.
Me? No complaint’s, ma’am. ;-)
i loved the line *fee fi foe fat – i thot i thaw a puttytat*

Ok, Ya fucked it up.
WTF you tawkin about?
Generally the nice version, but, you have channeled your ‘inner b*tch’ once or twice…! ;-)
g’nite mary mcc — don’t forget to steam
Most of the WB Looney Tunes you post have that impact on me.
Great giggling memories, all.
i do try to keep her restrained like a barbie on a banana hanger but sometimes…
I’m dyin from allegies, day by day, so is honey.
It’s wierd. One day it’s all fine, next day it’s pure hell, swollen sinususususususuus and major headaches.
Worst I’ve encountered since moving here.
Shut. Up.
Here it is again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZBlT9ycecQ
You don’t suffer fools very much…! *g*
Not all of them…
i do try to mix them up, warner bros, then maybe a harveytoons, then one of the classic tex averys, then the 60′s…. try not to repeat characters too frequently
So true! Liza Minnelli forced me to paint my nails yellow and blue when I was in college! That movie woke me up!
And to think that you just razzle dazzle ‘em!
That bites, Larue…! Are ya doing hot compresses to your forehead…?
People left the arena singing. Yep. Singing. “El Pueblo, Ben Sera” all the way outnto their cars in the parking lot and it was astounding.
I’ll never forget it. It was a pre-cursor to the MLK march there in PHX.
No, YOU shut up!
Ok, fine, good vid hoss.
Best to you and yers.
*G*
(@#$^%)
*G*
well, she can’t be everywhere all the time — although i do wonder just how much sleep she does get. she just keeps on going and going and going
i need to work on my patience… sometimes my fuse is pretty fucking short
Heh, as I mentioned about FDL earlier today, they suffer me.
And as Suz goes?
She suffers me AND you, and our likes.
;-)
And we’re the better for it, ain’t we . . . . *G*
I know, but that was probably an oblique enough reference to not piss off the mods =:-O
She got the one’s I wanted.
*G*
HAHAHA, you’ve got the patience of Job compared to me.
I wish she push a button on the one who pissed me off.
well if ya do, there is always chocolate :)
Oh, boy. Are you writing for Stewart?
Nah, I’m not into that stuff.
We got some great pills.
Still, a few days this spring are harder n ever.
I attribute it to a lack of exercise and personal discipline.
That, I can fix.
I got a pal who’s got gout, genetic it is. When THAT flares, it kills him.
ME, I’m ok with the allergy issue a few times a year.
By far. Gout is a sucky flare, and it’s like dying.
That we be…! ;-)
What do physics ducks say?
Quark, quark quark.
