New York’s 19th district has a Republican challenger that pretty much epitomizes many of the young loud-mouths we’ve all had to deal with from time to time — loud and educated as if by morons — ever more frequently by chalkboard performance art.
Meet 30 year old, right-wing writer, Ann Coulter-aspirant Kristia Cavere, and yeah, she’s a fan out illogical over-heated analogies:
This, of course, will come to real news to, uh, y’know history — some well-heeled Democrat in a wheelchair for example. And, since Ms. Cavere equates “liberate” with defeating Hitler, the only other implication her knowledge of history could have is that Stalin and the Red Army were Republicans because they did a lot more on that score than anyone else.
So, using my own blackboard, I guess what I’m saying is the Comrade Cavere is a Stalinist.

Don’t forget that St. Ronnie liberated the American medical students being oppressed in Panama, and Moses was obviously a Republican also too.
Don’t forget Neo-Cons fancy themselves the defeaters of the “USSR” and you still can’t trust US or UK media with concerns about Russia. They are no longer an “enemy” but you wouldn’t know that listening to US news -

yeah, remind the youth that 70 years ago the Democrats were on the side of the righteous, and so therefore today they have to vote (D) no matter what.
today however, the Democrats funnel trillions of dollars to bail out the Wall Street scum who crashed the economy, and the Democrats spend tens of billions of dollars a year to continue and expand the stupid wars and occupations of the discredited Bush Administration.
jeering at Republican idiocy is tired misdirection, and cannot be counted on anymore to make people vote against their own interests by voting for the party that is mandating the purchase of junk insurance!
These right wing ideolouges may well be the death knell of the Grand Old Party – These Palinviks are reloading -but they are shooting at all the moderates…
The Battle of Stalingrad: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Stalingrad
Just to refresh a few young minds susceptible to “loser like” misrepresentations?
Total: 1,129,619 casualties for the Soviets. To the ignorant of the world, do not make light of the Soviets sacrifices, they are heroes, sure as our fathers where heroes. To the politically motivated and convenient historical revisionists, you are disgusting and I suspect one who had made the sacrifice might question if you deserve your “”liberty”" at all?
There are half a dozen candidates running in the NY 19th, and this one is off the radar. You really think she’ll be a factor?
Republicans fought tooth and nail to keep us out of the war! This dimwit has a masters in warmongery? This country is fukt!
Some of these TRWFNs may well end up in the House and, with the goopers poised to return to the majority, we could end up with a Gilbert and Sullivan Congress.
Embrace the Hoot-Smalley!
Gore was a snob, he lost. Kerry was a snob, he lost. Obama was a snob, he won. OFA said vote Obama or be racist. In coming elections given economy, snob is a losing strategy. Plus, thinking you’re somehow special because there are stupider people in the world, ha, who needs that. Embarrassing for everybody, and not very liberal.
Mide terms… Piratical wisdom sides with your assertion. However, maybe the “rethugs” have impaled themselves on the “coke straw” as Pence impaled Hillery? The rethug’s continual just saying no stance on issues combined with this AZ immigration law, maybe the “demorats” will gain seats? Maybe now that immigration in on the front burner again, a reaction to the AZ law nationwide might impale the “rethugs?” FFT!
I’m for immigration reform, fair and reasonable. I’m deplore and have very strong tendencies towards action concerning a “Gestapo Mentality,” This seeds of disaster must be “destroyed” now!
Wingnuts have always made a big point of claiming that communism can’t work (one of the few things I agree with them on) so I always point out to them that the Soviet Union collapsed under its own weight, not because of anything the Senile Movie Star did.
Hell, when you think about it, the Senile Movie Star did more to defeat America than he ever did to defeat the Soviets.
Police officers that are immigrants or sons or daughters of immigrants are not permitted to stop “identified possible” immigrants under the new law owing to a possible conflict of interest.
Neither can capitalism as has been demonstrated by various empires throughout history including, recently, the Greatest Gooper Empire Evah.
This reminds me of that hilarious spoof of Glen Beck, where you have the nutwing teabagger proclaiming that “…and Jesus wrote the Constitution to keep us from these people,” or something like that.
The sad truth is, a lot of right wingers actually believe crap like this, and will not be swayed from those beliefs, regardless of the facts presented to them.
Fixed it for ya.
… some well-healed Democrat in a wheelchair for example …
A typo, I know, but “healed” FDR was not! :)
This is a stark case of Republican False Memory Syndrome.
Contrary to first impressions, the Right are very creative, in a Mad Hatter sort of way. They live in a parallel universe where they have always been right about everything…and the left has always been wrong. The right will go out and hire people to prove this is so; that’s what a right-wing think tank is.
As if this weren’t weird enough, I’m sure this fantasy universe is slightly different for every right-winger. Wingnuts like to air their list of grievances against the horrible liberals. But the list is different for every winger.
Good morning, pups. It’s Monday so it’s The Pasty Little Putz and Prof. Krugman. The Pasty Little Putz, in “Not Even In South Park?”, says our culture has few taboos that can’t be violated, but depicting the Prophet Muhammad in “South Park” was met with cowardice and censorship. He foresees the collapse of all we hold dear… Prof. Krugman, in “Berating the Raters,” says the Goldman Sachs e-mail messages we should be focusing on are the ones from employees at the rating agencies, which reveal huge conflicts of interest.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. The last house guest leaves today. As much as we love to see out of town friends it does make for disrupted schedules, and I’m enough of an old stick-in-the-mud to find that, well, disrupting. Of course, the jasmine stubbornly held out and has just a few blooms open. It apparently doesn’t like to share with guests. Have a great day.
I’m certainly not an advocate for unregulated capitalism, but what capitalist empire ever collapsed as quickly as the Soviet Union?
Pasty conveniently forgets all the censorship of the truth about america’s various and numerous wars, censorship about war crimes, censorship about torture, censorship about illegal wire taps, censorship of criticism of Israel, the list goes on.
Theo: You have caught a rather funny blunder! Well done! FDR would have been so happy to be well “healed”, as would other polio victims.
The well heeled of our day do not seem to have FDR’s patriotism. In that respect they are impoverished and simply greedy.
If you can stomach following the link to Kristia Cavere’s website and reading for a while, her writing follows the accepted rhetorical protocol for what the right-wing does agree on. To save you the trouble (and misery) of reading through her diaries, here’s a sample that pretty much rehashes the common thinking of the whole miserable group (minus the paranoia that Obama is planning to take their guns away).
What most Americans don’t realize is that, to Hitler, the Western Front was pretty much a holding action. He had about five times as many forces on the Eastern front as on the Western. It was largely the Soviets who beat Hitler.
Linguists specializing in the “typos” of Dr. Turk are in general agreement this is used in the ironic sense.
(minus the paranoia that Obama is planning to take their guns away).
and their fishing poles !
(where did that especially humorous bit of paranoia come from, anyway?)
The edifice of Teabaggia Calls is ready to tip over, but needs a good push.
There is a serious issue here that I don’t think gets addressed enough. Reagan was showing signs of dementia toward the end of his first term; by the end of his second term he was at least moderately, if not severely impaired. Look at any video of him in the last two years and you cannot help but notice the lack of emotional reactivity; he had always been a very expressive person, but that is gone the last two years. I suspect why Bush blocked the release of the presidential papers has much to do with this. I have done more than 5,000 dementia assessments over the past fifteen years, so I do have something of an informed opinion.
D’oh, fixed. Thanks.
Or it’s a fuck up.
I’ll look.
Yep, it’s a fuck up.
WTF? From Kristia’s bio:
I.Don’t.Think.So.
Missouri State…located in Virginia?
Did they have to move it to the state that would accredit them?
Well educated and still as dumb as a brick
It is a division of the CIA
If you start with the premise that Republicans won WWII, you inexorably arrive at the conclusion that Missouri State U. is located in Virginia.
Republicans fought tooth and nail to keep the U.S. out of WWII because many Republicans were admirers of Hitler. Scratch the surface of most Republicans and you’ll find an anti-democratic authoritarian.
[snort] I LOLed.
Republicans still fightin’ WWII, it’s their new reality. Sumpthin’ like Mr Lindsey Graham u better kill that climate bill or we are gonna drag u outta that closet right now Mr.
Swim is up top…
You enjoy calling the Catholic clergy all sorts of names. You call Jews all sorts of names. But when it comes to Muslim religious fanatics making death threats to a cartoon show of all things, you can’t muster up even a tame objection. You are a hypocrite and a coward.
Kursk was the great battle of the war, where the Germans and Soviets went at each other over prepared ground. The battle lasted 10 days. People only recall (if at all) the last one, which was the tank battle at Pokhrahova, which was in fact a draw, but the Germans left the field. Stalingrad has all the drama, but it was the consequence of overreaching. Kursk was straight head-to-head. From that time on the Germans were on the continual defensive.
Your right. His trickle down Voodoo economics and the Randian ideas that he promoted have ruined the country for millions , while creating a new aristocracy.
Holy hannah, she seems to have gone to college, and beyond: according to the link, she has a Master’s of Science in Defense & Strategic Studies.
Attaturk, I can’t find that quote. Where did you source it from?
(and I have no desire to go to kos for any reason)
Exactly. That’s why we invaded Europe, from the south and the west and met the Soviets in Berlin. (along with kicking their Nazi asses out of North Africa)
Wait a minute, there were two world wars? I thought there were a bunch of wars all over the world, you know, throughout history and stuff, then there was a ‘World War Too’. Is that not right?
Actually, their Defense and Strategic Studies program is located in Virginia, for some reason. It looks more like a joke degree, even moreso than an MBA, judging from the website.
From the sound of it, they churn out Bill Kristols and Paul Wolfowitzes, not Valerie Plames or David Petraeus.
If you’re still here – I checked the kos diary for you – the writer says it is in an interview in a local Pound Ridge and Bedford NY newspaper, which has not been posted on-line.
Remember when Republicans conspired to overthrow the US government and install a fascist government allied with the fascist governments of Germany, Italy, and Spain?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Plot
Remember when Republicans helped finance the rise of Nazi Germany?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prescott_Bush
Remember when Republicans were opposed to entering WWII and stopping fascism?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opposition_to_World_War_II
Republicans like to rewrite history, because history isn’t too kind to Republicans.
Thanks – that’s convenient.
Where is Ken Clawson when we need him (maybe penning for kos)
Amazing how little reference there is to ‘Republicans’ in those references you provide.
You could just as well substituted Democrats
Sam Rayburn (Democrat) was Speaker of the House from 1940 till 1947, Dems controlled the house prior to our entry into the War.
Barkley (Democrat) was Majority Leader in the Senate from ’39 to ’47, Dems controlled the Senate prior to our entry into the War. (and from ’33 to ’47)
Prior to our entrance into the war, Dems controlled both houses of Congress and held the Administration.
Sound Familiar?
(but we’re focusing on the Repukes, Why?)
Nice try, concern troll. Were the leaders of the Business Plot Republicans, or Democrats?
Was Prescott Bush and the rest of the bankers who invested in the arms industries of Germany and Italy Republicans or Democrats?
And who controlled the Senate had nothing to do with who opposed entering the war now, does it?
Ok, I’ll bite since you’re got all the answers.
Since the Democrats controlled both Houses and the W.H., why didn’t we enter the war earlier? (sure hope your next references are better than the last supporting documents you provided)
(and the ‘Bonus’ army that you’re attempting to give credit to for planning a ‘coup d’état’, they were camped out in Hooverville – many with their wives and children. That’s one Hell of a place to plan and prepare for a revolution.)
They are connected to the teabuggers:
