Featuring new videos from Vadoinmessico and High Places.
What’s on your mind tonight?
He’s the best Republican president since Bill Clinton.
Aloha, ES…!
‘Drill, Baby, Drill”… *gah*
Not Zed…
FunnyD
Or worst Republican president since Jr.
Good evening firedogs.
Better even. No President since perhaps Coolidge had the fortune of following such a colossally corrupt predecessor.
It’s what you DO with that pulpit that counts.
Hey Eureka!
ES, I’ve got a new toy…! ;-)
I’m a little miffed at it’s ‘speed’, but, it’s a whole lot better than my nonexistent wifi of late…!
What’s on my mind? Something else was until just now I when I followed a link from a comment at naked capitalism.
Remember those savvy businessmen that Obama knows? One of them is the major financier of the most abominable thing I can think of.
Hey CT, That’s what I use… different brand.
How are your connection speeds?
I’m loving the second video, ES!
Actually, PD, I think that all the slugs that populate the Treasury and the Fed from GoldmanSachs are even worse perpetrators than the JP Morgan slimeballs…! 8-(
No surprise there.
Hi Loo Hoo..) When that trance/chill/funky lounge or whatever they are calling it this week works, it works!
It says 1.5 MbPS… However, I’ve only been able to coax out 650 Kbps…! 8-(
Mine jumps all over the map, but I use a router an outdoor antennae and am about 7 miles from the nearest tower as the crow flies. So I don’t complain much…)
Is this where I get to say – High Speed fiber to every home in the USA!
You betcha…! Particularly since I’m about 1/4 of a mile(as the crow flies…) from the nearest tower…! ;-)
Jus a lil modification . . . for consideration . . . . ;-)
I’m here with someone who will pick you apart.
Howdy ES, CT and all yer toys!!!
*G*
And other Pups and toys, assuredly!
NOW yer pickin my kind of pickin!!!
Not BAD for some Joisey Boys, huh!!!!
*G*
I’m still wowed by their first effort.

$29 per month if they can auto-debit, $39 if not. Interesting.
I’d rank Lincoln and possibly Eisenhower above him.
Mine is 60.00 a month no matter how I pay.
Actually, it’s $19 a month since it’s auto bill pay and bundled with two family lines…! ;-)
Not if yer serving the needs of the corporate realm and the 1% elite!!!!
*G*
In general, no doubt, but the article does suggest that JPMC is
digging(No!) increasing their positions at a time when most other big banks are deciding they can pass up on this one.Tell you what I had been thinking, though, on another topic. For some reason I can’t seem to get the video clip below out of my mind. Normally I never recall having seen it until I’m in the middle of the movie and there it is; but today it just spontaneously came to mind.
Hey Newt,
The iPad is getting some awesome reviews per HuffPo. It’s their headline story right now.
If it supported a remote Linux desktop client (for the NX system), it would be my ideal computer.
Then wait until you see the new Newsweek cover. It is a big wet kiss to Jobs.
Unlimited?
You all in the mood for some yellow cupcakes? *s*

any limitations?
Yes, only because I am grandfathered in on an old Alltel plan. Verizon bought them out and no longer offers unlimited.
I couldn’t afford to blog if I wasn’t grandfathered in.
*heh* I still can’t believe that NewsSqueek’s Mar. 9th cover had Commander Codpiece’s little Aircraft Carrier soiree on it’s cover proclaiming; ‘Mission Accomplished’…! WTF are they smoking…?
Drill these thoughts, please…
Taking cue from energy authority Richard Heinberg, see “Museletter” from early 2007 thru summer meltdown 2008 to see my drift on the energy angle…
Boone Pickens wants fleet of natural gas 18 wheelers to help get off imported diesel fuel. Pickens and some other sources warn of motor fuel rationing sometime this decade. Nobody talks about railway component in the Energy/Climate Emergency Solution Set, not in the USA, anyway.
Exceptions to the rule, see “Suntrain Transportation Corporation” and “GoRail” for discussion & visuals on US railway network rehab to step in as trucking, other rubber tire transport impacted by rationing. Most reading know nothing of railway tech in this USA generation, but that is not an excuse to play the Lemming role. Do some homework, instead of futile griping about the oil drilling expansion.
See book “ELECTRIC WATER” by Christopher C. Swan (New Society Press, 2007). Beyond Richard Heinberg spend some wide awake time in “theoildrum” and “LATOC”. Time for the High School-College set to get active in transport policy, unless you want to be carrying a rifle… To maintain “happy Motoring is to remain hostage to oil imports, and constant adversarial relationship with China, EU and Russia.
Railway is integral to maintaining the economic “Guarantor of Societal & Commercial Cohesion” element in our country as we divest from imported oil. Will we do it in an orderly way, or be forced into a nasty cold turkey disruption of transport & distribution when disaster or attack or middle east military action disrupts flow?
Note James Howard Kunstler comments on railway branchline rehab in his “The Long Emergency” book. We are in the leading edge of a long emergency, financial instability & unrelenting problems with energy that must be addressed beyond seeking more oil.
See “tahoevallylines” and “aspoarticle1037″ in other pages for more boilerplate on the railway rehab discussion. -Parallel Bar Therapy”- Rare are the ones who actually follow through; in case some such are following this, see “spv.co.uk” for US Rail Map Atlas Map Volumes, get volume for your respective locale, and get savvy on your area legacy rail footprint past & present. Advanced study, see “Official Guide of the Railways” from library or from Google used books. “Guide” circa 1920-1950 has best showing of US railway and Interurban Electric Lines. A real treasure with maps and operating locations.
Start before some disaster abroad or at home makes it difficult!
None whatsoever besides the snail’s pace…! ;-)
That was impossibly bad.
Slime comes in different flavors something slimy for everyone.
Hi ES and everyone, hope you all are well.
You can have the Lime flavored one, I’ll take the Mango…! ;-)
Good evening bigbrother and Margot…)
Rawk On…! ;-)
Gotta love that DU…! Hopefully, it won’t fall by the wayside like the Goldstone report…! 8-(
I’m limited, so uber-cautious. No capacity to assess my speed other than poor, good and excellent. Don’t hit excellent often – like twice evah :)
Paying $40, but they tossed me a free month after 2. I’m hoping to see that again next month. Bright spots: no contract, no auto debit and I can deal with real humans eyeball to eyeball.
Alternative is ATT. Even through a third party agent I trust, I don’t wanna.
Here is a free test site for you.

How about along the lines of
Corporate flavor, “K” Street Special Flavor”, Religious Prejudice, Big Oil Slime, or Offense Spending Bust Your Budget flavored slime.
evening, ES – firegods
Guten Abend ES and Alles
hey bb
Hey margot!
Yum-yum…! Bon Apetit…! ;-)
PPDCUS and Margot Hi How are you tonight, fine I hope.
There is an intersting article in the November Nation on a group of young Americam Jews competing with AIPAC. They want peace in the ME and started a lobby called “J” Street.
Evening PPDCUS
Hi Sunny! It’s so warm here, how is it where you are?
Y’know, there’s an ad on the page here that invites me to “put Cottonelle toilet tissue ‘to the test.’ ”
I’m not sure I want to find out what that “test” is!! Or to participate in it!
Has Kelly been around? I’m dying to know about his trip to the tea party!
Thanks. It’s showing .68 Mbps. I’ll check later.
Crows on Mauna Kea? [Snerk]
You boys and your dirty talk. Sheesh!
80s tomorrow!
The articles on FDL are getting fresher and more interesting lately. Drilling for oil offshore, who’s getting the wealth transfer (because they deserve it as they can cheat better than workers, Cesar Chavez, Torture on the cheap and everyone gets to playnand surprise surprise the health insurance companies are stepping up efforts to cheat people out of their coverage.
Hi bb, yes I’ve heard of J Street. Have you heard of Tikkun?
evening, PPDCUS. :)
J Street’s been around for awhile…. Unfortunately, they’re no match for AIPAC.
Hi Margot
*heh* Tomorrow nite I’ll be up there amongst the stars…! ;-)
Back in the olden days I would go to Broadband Reports (then DSL Reports) and would use Dr. TCP/IP to fix the size of the packet window and tweak the RTU number to increase my speed.
Now I just wait.
Jews Against the Israeli Government http://www.tikkun.org/tikkundaily/2010/03/31/jews-against-the-israeli-government-2/
Exhibit A is the J Street Ad “It’s Time” in last week’s New York Times. This clearly sounds what is the common note among all these voices; we are critical of the Israeli government because its current behaviour endangers the chances of Israeli survival. The ad is clear and explicit on this theme: “It’s time for Israel to stop allowing extremist settlers and their sympathizers to endanger not only the friendship of the United States, but also the very future of Israel.” J Street has always been clear about its goal, “to broaden debate around Israel and the Middle East”, and you clearly can’t have a broad debate that only allows one side to speak.
Cottonelle is a secret component of the DOD and NSA’s strategic anti-missile defense program. Their agency motto is — We’ll wipe ourselves out, thank you very much.
Blogging with the stars already dood!
Patience comes with age, eh…?
Over at DU I saw a clip of Jimmy Kimmel tearing into Starbucks over ‘open carry’…! ;-)
lol!
You know the tea partiers are so lame Eric Boehlert wrote a piece for media matters questioning if they want violence. I think the media do. They are just hoping for some kind of fight or blood on the ground.
They will let fox egg them on and then when someone snaps they will say, “nobody could have anticipated…”
but they will be so excited to have the dramatic footage!
So that’s what they mean when they blather on and on about a Patience Bill of Rights. we’ll all die before they call our number to exercise our rights. How convenient… more for me, but none for thee.
They’re pushing for another Waco, spocko. It looks inevitable from here.
http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0327/patriot-hate-groups-grew-244-2009/
Thanks for another mission accomplished, Rahmbo.
Really? Good. You know if I pull off this “blame our insurers” line of reasoning they should pay me a consulting fee. I’ve got a call lined up Friday to talk to an insurance company underwriter.
What’s your muckraking website, spocko?
A friend and I did a skit in 7th grade talent show where she was a secret agent looking for America’s most valuable papers, and I was Fidel Castro. She kept coming back and I’d look at the papers and gesture with my (unlit) cigar, and say No no, we already have these, go back!
Until she came with rolls of toilet paper, Ah yes! These are the papers!
The End.
Then I got in Big Trouble with the school. I protested that we did that skit at vacation bible school, it certainly wasn’t original with me, and they relented. I don’t know what they were going to do but I was scared.
Awesome…! Here’s the clip…! ;-)
Spocko, what do you make of this? Is your campaign making Sarah nervous
about fundraisers?
Thanks for solving the mystery.
Then and now.
LOL Great story…)
This brings to mind another “toilet paper” story: I went to Egypt two years ago. [Wonderful, fabulous, incredible trip.] Many locations, particularly those that were not “tourist traps,” had bathroom facilities that were less than the most modern. The first thing to go was the toilet paper: none in the stalls. But some guy was standing right outside before you entered, willing to “sell” you a sheet or two of tp.* Unemployment problem solved!
*This was also a “wise use of resources,” because they weren’t going to let you pay, say $1, and go into a stall and use tp to your heart’s [or butt's] content. Oh no, you were going to pay for every sheet you used!
Sounds like american education at its best — nothing socializes the public like toilet training kids’ minds.
Well it’s right here at good ol FDL Seminal! It will also be Spocko’s Brain if I can figureout how to successfully move to the new non FTP system. It really pissing me off because I don’t have control over it like I did before. And I don’t want to lose my old page rank. It’s just BS bcause google doesn’t want to support FTP.
But it’s not so much muck raking as it is giving a corporation a reason to not associate with crazy people. It’s what I did for advertizers who left radio hosts. Starbucks is afraid of offending the gun toters but they don’t know how to say no to them now. I’m going to help them see the insurance problems of hosting gun people. They then bla
e the insurance people. The gun nut are disappointed but they will respect the ruling of the insurance people and they won’t feel like they caved to the Brady people. The gun people will punish starbuck if they feel that they caved to Brady.
This corporate finger pointing will result in no guns in starbucks and starbucks not getting punished by the gun nuts.
They didn’t wipe…? ;-)
Aha! No wasting paper that way, either.
That costs extra.
Off to bed
Aloha, spocko…! I’ve got a loong nite ahead of me Tomorrow nite… I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu…! *g*
Me too.
Good night firedogs.
Looks like the egyptians have found a corollary to “the pen is mightier than the sword.”
night all – be well
