It has become apparent that from Roberts, to Scalia, to Alito, to Thomas there is no such thing as an appearance of impropriety to a conservative justice.
But how nice for Clarence Thomas that in voting with the 5-4 majority in Citizens United he not only saw no conflict of interest; he managed to give his wife a business opportunity CA-CHING!
As “an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb.” and Teabagger.
Although the busier Mrs. Thomas stays, the less likely she is to review her husband’s “history” file on the home PC. After all, as long as she thinks “Red-tube” is like You-Tube for monitoring liberal propaganda, as he’s explained to her, the better it is for domestic tranquility.

About Firedoglake
I’d like to see Uncle Thomas at his wife’s Tea Party. Lots of Nazi’s and Racists at Tea Parties funny how the Press never thought to ask Mrs Thomas what her husband thinks about that.
I doubt Uncle Tom could walk the length of a Tea Party convention among the little people without being lynched.
The Good Book tell us: “Do you bring in a Lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?”
There’s no room under the bed for Virginia Lamp with all the magazines. Clarence has to put her somewhere.
Do we have any Pups who can shadow Mrs Thomas’s tea party events a few photos of Klan/Nazis at Mrs Thomas’s Tea Parties and even the Main Stream Media won’t be able to ignore that story.
From Crooks & Liars:
Glenn Beck & listening carefully?
Detecting ‘dog whistles’ I suppose.
Not like we listen like an anger junky listens to every word her pusher says right before she gets her fix.
“Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! Sedition in the Court! Sedition in the Court! All rise for the Honorable Clarence Thomas.”
Are these kinds of conflicts of interest ok for all judges or only the Supremes? If its ok only for the Supremes then maybe Congress can pass a law requiring the Supremes to obey some kind of code of conduct.
Two coups d’etat in one decade is pretty impressive.
We misunderestimate Clarence Thomas at our own peril.
Good morning, pups. It’s Monday, so it’s the Pasty Little Putz and Krugman. The Pasty Little Putz is being a movie critic again. In “Hollywood’s Political Fictions” he rails that “Green Zone,” like most political films, misses the ironies of American history. And Hollywood’s inability to handle political complexity adds to our polarization. I’ve got a new flash for you, putz — our polarization has precious little to do with Hollywood and a lot more to do with assholes like you. Prof. Krugman, in “Taking on China,” says it’s time for America to confront China about the undervaluation of its currency, which is adding to the world’s economic problems at a time when those problems are already severe.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. I’m looking forward to Wednesday when our office is closed to going out and seeing what’s out there to put in the garden. But until then we’ve still got to survive the Pasty Little Putz and Bobo… Have a great day.
I cannot comment as it would be redlined by the Mods
Not sure how to take that?
I don’t think your link is working or is it just me?
Can’t wait for corps to take their congressional seats.
Good morning all.
No, it’s me… Insufficient caffeine.
HERE they are!
Sorry.
They have a law it’s called impeachment but someone took it away.
Clarence traitor to the constitution, along with Kennedy and Scalia in 2000, still keeps on infecting the country with the bush cancer we’ve contracted.
Remember the voice of Kansas propriety, TCU:
“Elmira Gulch, just because you own half the county doesn’t mean that you have the power to run the rest of us. For twenty-three years I’ve been dying to tell you what I thought of you! And now… well, being a Christian woman, I can’t say it!”
There’s another place for the really raunchy, the grossly inappropriate, and the scandalously funny stuff.
No one could have anticipated… Is it safe to assume that all corporations will register as Republicans?
I gave you and Hugh Credit in my Diary for turning me on to oil tankers sitting off shore.

How about I agree with you.
Ok Cool I wasn’t sure if you were mad or what I wasn’t looking for a fight and was wondering if I offended.
The Mod Squad has always been gentle with my posts. On the other hand, I know not to get their dander up. And I always check my Lincs.

Now I want to see the film is reverse psychology the Pasty Putz goal?
Next thing people are gonna wanna marry their corporation.
http://mgpaquin.wordpress.com/
The Putz thinks Mark Twain can’t write politics? Has he read his own stuff?
Corporations will want the right to have sex with animals.
Yeah, and people like Rick Santorum will incorporate themselves for that purpose. Rick Santorum, Inc. Or would it be Rick Santorum LLC?

Real art is supposed to be interested in the humanity of all its subjects? What if the subject isn’t human, war is considered inhuman not many wars happen for humanitarian reasons. Real Art tells us something about ourselves that something is why Conservatives have a problem with art.
America does not have Sympathy for Bush a Conservative has finally twigged to a thought come on Putz finish the thought maybe people don’t have Sympathy for Bush for a reason?
Funny the world pays to see Hollywood Movies even the political ones. The Times with you writing for it has lost how much stock price since 9/11? The Consumers are voting the Times not Hollywood off the island.
Also Putz classic Elitist language Hollywood is unable to understand political complexity? You don’t understand is a classic I don’t want to explain my point because I secretly fear I might lose dodge.
I smell Fear Putz.
But why the Tea Baggers are going great. Fox is attacking Obama non stop, yet despite a recession the GOP still polls lower than the Dems.
If the GOP can’t improve their standing in the polls during a recession and historically the party in power always sinks in the polls during a recession.
Then something is seriously wrong with the GOP.
Cripes Rick Santorum will be opening his own animal shelter with Darth there they can abu Graid pets.
The Putz hears the song Sympathy for the Devil and breaks out crying that Bush just doesn’t get the love!
This look into the conservative mind is fascinating the Putz is telling us that deep down they still believe in Bush and are hurt that we all don’t share their joy in 8 years of Mission Accomplished./s
I think you closed an absolutely unnecessary snark tag there…
Rush will at last be able to marry his true love the McDonalds corporation. Nothin says hot lovin like a Big Mac attack arrrgh! Brain Bleech alert my eyes I just pictured Rush nude rolling around in Big Macs.
I did not want anyone to think I thought Bush accomplished anything but ok sometimes snark tags are unnecessary.

If you want some political complexity in film check out ‘In The Loop’, though it too is mean to politicians. Hollywood doesn’t always portray politicians in a negative light. Henry Fonda as The President in ‘Fail Safe’, Harrison Ford in ‘Air Force One’, gosh the Prez is an action type hero in that one, though I’ll admit it ain’t very complex. The Kennedys come off well in the various films dealing with the Cuban missile crisis, with William DeVane delivering the quintessential JFK portrayal in ‘Missiles Of October’. In ‘The ‘Candidate’ Robert Redford plays the title character in a film that really shows the complexities inherent in running for office, all the compromises one must make and whether or not a candidate for modern office can keep personal integrity while getting votes. If your going to knock Hollywood you need to know film. The Putz don’t know film.
Good point I wonder if the Putz will get concerned about that conservative hit job the History channel wants to do on the Kennedys.
The JFK administration is certainly open for some criticism, but it seems that Kennedy was moving quickly along a learning curve. The Bay of Pigs fiasco taught him a valuable lesson and though it was not his initiative to begin with, it was hatched under Eisenhower, he ok’d it and took responsibility for it when it went wrong (not what happens these days). It’s too bad we’ll never know what might have been.
Is her middle name really Lamp. Well Ms. Thomas, someone needs to turn your lamp on. It would seem an almost completely racist group like Tea party nation might offend you, given you’re married to a black man. But then again, Uncle Tom has never embraced his blackness, has he. As a black man who has dated white women, I have no problem whatsoever with black and white persons marrying. It would seem that a black man like Thomas, who hates affirmative action because he argues it makes him seem less than the white man, might not be the person you’d think would even date a white woman, less more marry her.
Not to worry about “Uncle Tom” Thomas or the other 4 neo-corporate fascists on the SCOTUS. They too will become as relevant to our democratic process as say, the senate.
Thanks to their 5-4 decision on Citizens v FEC the SCOTUS officially declared what many of us have know for decades – the US now has a “Government OF the people, BY the corporations, FOR the corporations”.
As a result, in 15 years or less there will be little left of the middle class and the individual’s vote will be even more meaningless than it is today. The Democracy we created 230 plus years ago will be thrown on the trash heap of failed political systems right up there with fascism, communism and nazism.
Thank goodness I’ll be dead and gone by then…
You people. How do you have credibility.
