Leahy Calls One-Day, One-Witness Hearing on OPR Report: Who is Gary Grindler?

Senator Leahy has called a one-day, one-witness hearing for the Senate Judiciary Hearing to look into circumstances surrounding the OPR report on the torture memos, and the exoneration by DOJ attorney David Margolis of serious charges against the memo authors John Yoo and Jay Bybee. The single witness is Acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler, who, it turns out, has some history with a well-known case of abusive incarceration approximately 10 years ago.
