Yogi Petro How you tonight and what are you drinking?. Been doing the Bikram Hot Yoga every day this year. Getting easier although yesterday I pulled a hip muscle and had a trick back last two days. Shoulders stand and other posture seem to loosen it up. Know anything about this?
I would ask the Yoga Instructor how best to manage it. Most yoga injuries are simply a result of energy imbalance and can be corrected with other yoga postures or Pranayamas/breathing exercises.
Let me know what they say, perhaps via facebook or private e-mail and I can advise further.
i’ve not been following hockey — hell the way nbc is airing i can’t follow anything — their prime time show is just a forking wrap-up of the things the nbc folks think we want to see
i remember back in the day when ya watching figure skating ya saw all the skating, not just the winners and favorites after the event has happened
They’re showing the hockey games on MSNBC and CNBC…! Blissfully, they’ve cut Tweety’s show down to one half hour show…! They switch it over to CNBC just in time for KO and Rachel tho…!
Interesting, been reading Erich Schiffmann….Moving into stillness He talks breath a lot. Bikram pushes Erich says listen and let the breath power you to the edges. Nice comment will ask.
They’re right to be unforgiving, look at their history, EVERYONE has tried to conquer them for one reason or another.
Someday, someone will try fair trade with them . . . without guns, maybe.
Help them grow and prosper, in exchange for access to distribution routes access and a fair share of resource development . . . without destroying their ways of life or imposing new ways of culture and such. Life is funny that way, so is democracy and freedom, it tends to wend its way into places it’s never been if people benefit without guns being pointed at them . . .
Be careful of ingesting too much Caffeine … it is not good for anyone and is especially bad for women, even if it is Organic or Natural or sold by Pixies dancing on the backs of Unicorns …
Surprisingly, the Indians have been very successful in gaining the trust of the Afghans and moving them toward a market based economy.
However, it must be noted that these people have been traders and survivors, for centuries. And yes, they have never been conquered, no matter the lies told by Alexander.
Just feeling that on spinal twist only the left hip was sensitive felt like a fasci tear. Standing from seated position is squirlly. But can do the whole Bikram series without that feeling. Weird. Pulled back no pain while not moving. Erich recomends ujayi breath.
I would recommend you get this checked out by an Acupuncturist or someone who can diagnose that type of pain/injury. If I was there, I’d check it myself.
Has the weather changed in the last couple of days, where you live ? Has the barometric pressure dropped, etc. ?
The Indian’s, and Chinese, and now ever the Russians, have new ways to broaden their horizons, peaceful ways.
Sadly, the Pak/Indian split still runs deep, and is primarily a tribal issue of sorts, along with control of land and roads and resources.
But all in all, I’d bet on peaceful national entanglements sooner in Af/Pak region than in ME.
With or without USA being there . . . the ME is a powder keg waiting to blow.
Af/Pak/India can be resolved beneficially to all people’s needs and wants, for the most part. Or maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part, as that part of the world is full of tribal and cultural differences as deep and complex as any in the ME . . . . and as old, too, if not older.
Once a muscle is displaced, it has tension and swelling that impacts the surrounding muscles and tissues.
The inflamation spreads, with the pain, and pulls skeletal alignments out of place, which compounds MORE muscle inflamaton which compounds MORE skeletal alignment issues, and on and on. Ouch.
Realign skeletal parts, muscles relax back into where they belong and swelling reduces.
Hips out of alignment, can begin a series of inflamation that grows up and across the back! Not to mention all the impact any of this has on nerves, which pinch easily . . . any nerves.
Love my chiro . . . never done accu . . . love the chiro though!
Gotten warmer maybe a little southern air comming in. I am not to concerned. I am trying to realign the spinal column shoulder girdle by asanas so I quir bidy building and want to stretch to allow realignment then add some muscle.
I’m thinking that bigbrother’s ability to alleviate the pain with other Asanas means that his pain is related to the Energy field. But I do recommend getting a proper alternate opinion.
Pretty nice. It was sunny and warm. I saw some cherry blossoms emerging today. This is way earlier than usual. Not that there’s climate change or anything, mind you…
When I first moved down here eighteen years ago, the cherry blossoms were blooming in mid-March. Lately, they’ve been blooming in early March. This is the first time I can recall when they may be in full bloom before March arrives.
wow. this is only my 2nd spring up here but daf blooms in feb was early even 700 miles south of me in boulder creek. my peony which blooms late april early may down there is already starting to leaf out.
I decided a long time ago that no amount of traffic would satisfy me, assuming I couldn’t make a living from it anyway. I mostly like having enough folks come by who want to comment or look around.
I know you’re gone — sorry I wondered off. I’ll start considering the caffeine in tea. The consequences of drinking disgraceful amounts of coffee turned me to tea.
Surprisingly, my tea guy suggested organic teas may not ultimately be as wholesome as non-organics.. His explanation seemed to make sense at the time. But I promptly forgot it. Will ask again.
i hear that — its a nice way for me to keep track of all the days that merge together. a place to store memories and sometimes make them there too. i love it when i get comments but not getting them is ok.
Smarter? Oh yeah, still slow, and stupid about some things, but smarter.
I can’t or wouldn’t play sports actively, other than golf, I don’t think, that’s cuz my body’s older, ok.
But I can camp, fest, walk, and if in shape, likely could survive a backpacking trip of short length and work up to a two week trip . . . I’m not sure I’d want to anymore though. There IS a fear of being on my own, and not making it. So, it would have to be a group thang, 10 or so.
But I don’t FEEL old, other than being out of shape, badly . . ;-)
ooooo that’s lovely — and that sure don’t look like a feb bloom. i’m gonna head into town tomorrow to mail a package and will see if there is any eye candy besides daffs by the road.
I can’t run very well anymore. I stopped jogging and/or running several years ago, and it seems I’m not in practice, and I’m heavier. Guess that feels old. Plus, I have a wrist that hurts a lot if I move it the wrong way.
Fred said Zed That’s your camel hanging on the shed Jed

Yogi Petro How you tonight and what are you drinking?. Been doing the Bikram Hot Yoga every day this year. Getting easier although yesterday I pulled a hip muscle and had a trick back last two days. Shoulders stand and other posture seem to loosen it up. Know anything about this?

Single Malt, my friend … care for a dram or two ?
I would ask the Yoga Instructor how best to manage it. Most yoga injuries are simply a result of energy imbalance and can be corrected with other yoga postures or Pranayamas/breathing exercises.
Let me know what they say, perhaps via facebook or private e-mail and I can advise further.
20s at night forecast all week, but days in 40s/50s.
I can sure-baby live with that.
Lordy … thankfully, Winter keeps the pests away. *g*
scotch (and other stuff)
i hear ya — i sleep better when it is cold at night than i do when it is hot at night
I can’t wait to see the titanic showdown brewing between the US/Canadian Women’s Hockey teams… After two games Canada is 28-1 and the US is 25-1…! ;-)
i’ve not been following hockey — hell the way nbc is airing i can’t follow anything — their prime time show is just a forking wrap-up of the things the nbc folks think we want to see
i remember back in the day when ya watching figure skating ya saw all the skating, not just the winners and favorites after the event has happened
Yeah, the other teams are there for show … the US & Canadian teams are in a class by themselves.
Same for Men’s Hockey, although the Ruskies will be tough this time around.
I should’ve asked … was it your lower back that was hurting, along with your Hip ?
Incredible pics.
Real people, real lives, real culture, far removed from ours both physically and in many other ways.
Imagine being our troops, never been overseas or out of USA . .
And bam, there you are without knowledge of language, food, history and such.
And them, all of a sudden, our troops there among them, equally foreign to them as they to us.
Incredible pics.
A Picture is worth 1000 words
Temps been up daytimes . . . nights too a bit.
Trees are all budding, blooming, allergy season about to begin!
You know who drives me to drink ? Bob Costas !
After so many years, Bob still knows diddly …
It’s like your LQQK, sometimes it’s lower case, sometimes it’s UPPER case . .
Your snark there was UPPER case, all the way, A Game Material!
*G*
i h-a-t-e allergy time in the valley… not as bad up here
They’re showing the hockey games on MSNBC and CNBC…! Blissfully, they’ve cut Tweety’s show down to one half hour show…! They switch it over to CNBC just in time for KO and Rachel tho…!
i tune him out
big time
Dubya thought that everyone can be bought off, and this new guy seems to believe the same …
No matter what you give the Afghanis, they will also see you as an infidel.
i’m watching nbc prime time — i wrote a letter complaining to nbc sports
its as if they don’t want viewers. no one knows whats on where
“Hello, Ajax Liquors?”
I’ve Not Seen THIS One!
Hey y’all – I am again sick. I’m sick of being sick. More coughing, low-grade fever, snot-nose…sucks.
thank you larue
I heard “Ajax Liquor Store” more than 35 years ago!
Did you just look at that one string of pics…? There’s five strings in all…! ;-)
hey that guy — fork i’m sorry dood
One of our Sportscasters is so old, he knew Noah’s Grandpa !
But I still prefer him to Bob “Soggy Oatmeal” Costas … and Rachel Maddow is free to use that on her show, if she wishes.
Interesting, been reading Erich Schiffmann….Moving into stillness He talks breath a lot. Bikram pushes Erich says listen and let the breath power you to the edges. Nice comment will ask.
White tea here. Tropical Nectar. Lovely stuff, said to be healthful as green. Costs like single malt :-(
In case you missed it, bigbrother, I asked @ 44, was it your lower back that’s hurting, along with your Hip ?

But armies will not get it done.
Sunny !
Be careful of ingesting too much Caffeine … it is not good for anyone and is especially bad for women, even if it is Organic or Natural or sold by Pixies dancing on the backs of Unicorns …
Damn hoss, get better soon!
Yep, it’s been a classic since I was a kid with a transistor on AM radio . . . Hudson And Landry.
that guy — have ya gone to a doc yet? is it the same bug ya haven’t been able to get rid of?

Yes
I went thru them all . . . I’m still wowed.
There was this HUGE rush taking me back to SE Asia and the 50′s as a child, in the hills with my pops.
Villages, compounds, AID/USOM placements in the city, corrugated sheet metal and generators incounry, latrine’s.
The smells, all so different, in city and in country, too . . . colors, all of it, so different.
What a rush it was looking them pics over . . .
When my back or extremeties hurt, I see a chiro, unless it’s just a strained muscle not warping my back out.
Yoga based pain? I’m thinking a chiro, dude. Just to straighten you out and let it all fall back into place naturally.
Not one visit, but 3 a week for two weeks.
Personal experience, that’s all I offer . . *G*
I would recommend you get this checked out by an Acupuncturist or someone who can diagnose that type of pain/injury. If I was there, I’d check it myself.
Has the weather changed in the last couple of days, where you live ? Has the barometric pressure dropped, etc. ?
Just the ones below the title mostly the D castle. Hoping that the London conference helps them.
White tea is nice I had Oolong tonight at the political meeting we attended. Was pretty mellow.
Great tips, Larue !
Wow, terrific video.

Hey newt and all other Firepups, I’m leaving a big Pitcher of Chocolate Martinis here for you.
G’nite Suz !

REM deep sleep calling me for repairs. Nite. And Billy was great.
Pretty nice. It was sunny and warm. I saw some cherry blossoms emerging today. This is way earlier than usual. Not that there’s climate change or anything, mind you…

That is interesting. Thanks for the tips.
i have a blooming daf in the yard and its neighbor is getting ready to bloom. apples don’t have any growth yet here
Oh noes!
Guess I better stick with the single-malt *g*
Oh no, I hope you feel better soonest, bud.
When I first moved down here eighteen years ago, the cherry blossoms were blooming in mid-March. Lately, they’ve been blooming in early March. This is the first time I can recall when they may be in full bloom before March arrives.
One of the male figure skaters is skating to Jimi Hendrix…!!!
wow. this is only my 2nd spring up here but daf blooms in feb was early even 700 miles south of me in boulder creek. my peony which blooms late april early may down there is already starting to leaf out.
Yeah, I should have left it up to you two . . and I’m pretty set in my ways WRT the bennies of chiro, etc. ;-)
it was strange to hear jimi on ice — and the kid did good
It’s been an unusually mild winter, even for these parts, so I’m not entirely surprised. It’s the trend that’s kinda worrisome.
Anyway, guess this means we’ll be seeing more flowers this year, doesn’t it?
a little something on the plus side — and congrats on snagging the 100 cujo
Now it’s some serious mouth harp action…! Wtf… is going on…? ;-)
we are old farts and our music is now old enough for the young whippersnappers to skate to. land sakes — where’s my rocker?
Oh, thanks. I just had my 100th visitor at my site today, too. One of these days I might have to spring for a real site meter.
wow congrats — i’ve never hit 100 in a day over at my place — not that i’m complaining. sometimes a slower pace is good says my inner pollyanna
I decided a long time ago that no amount of traffic would satisfy me, assuming I couldn’t make a living from it anyway. I mostly like having enough folks come by who want to comment or look around.

You were right the first time.
We are.

hiya Suz
hey ppd — how’s the south south bay tonight?
I don’t feel old. Out of shape, yes, old, no.
More wizened? Oh yeah, MOST definitely.
Smarter? Oh yeah, still slow, and stupid about some things, but smarter.
I can’t or wouldn’t play sports actively, other than golf, I don’t think, that’s cuz my body’s older, ok.

my girls say i’m an 17 year old trapped in an old woman’s body.
its sorta true — i feel young – on the inside. my outside is a whole nutter thang
I was just distracted for a little while. I uploaded a photo of that cherry tree I saw today. I had to use flash, so it almost looks artificial.
ooooo that’s lovely — and that sure don’t look like a feb bloom. i’m gonna head into town tomorrow to mail a package and will see if there is any eye candy besides daffs by the road.
’bout time for me to head out. thank you for letting me hang out with ya’ll for a bit tonight.
g’nite
I can’t run very well anymore. I stopped jogging and/or running several years ago, and it seems I’m not in practice, and I’m heavier. Guess that feels old. Plus, I have a wrist that hurts a lot if I move it the wrong way.
I certainly feel older.
night Suz
Goodnight, Suzanne.
Nite Suz, if yer lurking . . time for me to wander closer to the sand man, also . .
Thanks for the chats Pups!
Oh, goodnight Larue. Think it’s time for me to head on out, too. Goodnight, whoever’s still here.
