hey ndfg – how ya doing tonight?
Conspiracy? Trying too hard? Hi Senator Mary Mac how are you tonight. Heavenly weather forecast foe a week of sunshine. I am laying out every day get rid of that winter pallor. Evening all. Suzanne you doubled down tonight!
Supposed to be snowing – but it ain’t!
ChikFlix 2 nite
Hey Suz!
sac is good. beautiful day.
Broke my hand last Tuesday. I tripped and fell on it. Looks like a big purple ham. I did it while at martini nite in Sonoma.
Typing is slow and filled with the cloudiness of drugs. Thank Jeebus for the cloudiness of drugs.
My biggest problem is boredom. And finding Ron so he can help me dress, eat, etc.Have to go see an orthopedic doc next week.
Oh, and we are giving great consideration to moving to either the east bay or Petaluma. I am going to go look at places this week.
Ahh, Senator Mac! Need your help with a poem!
I’ll hit you up on FB.
couldn’t choose :)
AND THE KILLIN GOES ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Suzanne and the Late Nite Firepup Freedom Fighters:
Yo Sister Suzanne…past my bedtime, just stoppin in ta tell ya ta keep the tunes hot and the conversation hotter. If Brother Raven is out there: peace brother, I’ll try and get Southern Dragon’s attention again about a series on veterans’ experiences comin home from cambat service
hey newton — how’s the sf bay area tonight dood?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO oh honey
Oh crap, didn’t see your comment before I posted.
Ouch! How’d ya break yer hand?
hey norske — always a pleasure to see your flames :) sd usually has a cat-urday post up at seminal every weekend and checks it regulary
Sorry, Mary…
*passes Senator McCurnin the mustard*
cool.
Quiet and wet.
Up there?
i’m doing fine, other than cold. but that’s to be expected. i don’t get warm until about july 4th.
howsabout you?
You have rain now?
windy and wet — narrow band moving through tonight that is part of that low circulating up off bc/alaska — the surf is whipped up and loud tonight — another high surf advisory
me and the critters are enjoying another fine evening with a blazing fire keeping things cozy
Oh, Suz. I can’t tell you how many times I watched these with my girls. Gonna go back for old time’s sake.
Thanks!
It’s on it’s way Kelly. Snowing here on the Redstern Slope.
Not exactly. Just enough precip to keep things slick, but not enough to call it rain. All day the last two days. I imagine Seattle is a lot like this at times.
oh noes! {{{ mary mac }}} that is awful. Hope you heal fast.
hey loohoo — i watched arial so many times when baby girl was a toddler i h-a-t-e-d it due to repetition — was her fav movie. when she was 3 i made her an arial costume with glittery jewels and a mermaid tail. was cold that halloween so she had to wear a pink sweater underneath.
hey felix — brrrr how much snow?
Hi ndfg, hows my old hometown-the twintowns?
I usually do. Just can’t work for a while. That is ok cause Ron has work right now.
How are you today ndfg?
it’s late night with Suzzzzzannne
hey ppd — how’s the south south bay?
Morro Bay?
30 degrees and maybe an inch on the ground. Not so cold and the snow will probably be gone tomorrow. Haven’t had any snow to speak of since before Xmas.
Saw The lady and the Tramp when it came out, nice.
Kiss the girl is really interesting. The water saound and all the wildlife make it the most organic cartoon I have ever seen, Great art work and production/direction. Quite an accomplishment.
south south sf bay — salinas area…
Yaaiie! Hey your late – waz supposed to snow already!
stephanie says the same thing there (she’s on the phone with me)
beautiful day — spring has sprung in February
Hi sister!
Didn’t you say earlier that she is near the Springs?
got a daff blooming in the yard — the first of the year…
just moved from kersey to evans
Ultimate bummer.
It’s Mavericks competition this weekend, along with AT&T tournament in PB. Suz!
not too bad considering it’s February and we’re ass-deep in snow ‘n ice. while i was catching up to the threads, saw your earlier remarks about where you’re living … if it’s any consolation, i think i’ve just moved into michelle bat-shit-crazy bachmann’s district. *gags and spits*
hiya back, sis!
i saw on our local news the wipeout the beach wave — wow
That is most unfortunate Mary. But I broke both hands and my shoulder girdle. The nice part is the yoga helped it to mostly heal. Took a while and cut the cast off before they said too. Hate the wet cast from showers. Get some water proof to keep that dry. You can till can do Tai Chai the exercise is really good for you with the heart condition and the business housing stress.
In the cartoon spirit of LLN – I say to the folks of Colorado Springs:
Look For the Bear Necessities…
Heavy sigh. If I wasn’t a non-believer I’d pray for you.
I have a cheery yellow crocus.
ooooooh i lovve that one
Are you suggesting that they start eating insects in the Springs?
Let me rephrase that. Will the good Burghers of Colorado Springs have to resort to eating insects soon?
My favorite character in that movie?
Sheer Con
i am siamese
Sorry Mary. Fast healing to you.
You know, we really need an alternative to praying for someone. I send good vibes and best wishes, but there ought to be a WORD.
hey emerson — how ya doing?
Hi Suz, you romantic little Valentines girl! Here’s one for you!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDXARxSID4Y
In the near future, they may have no choice, ’cause I think that’s all they have on the menu at the Ayn Rand Cafe
thanks e. How are you?
disney villains
I agree.
the work song
And it has to be a powerful word to make all that bad juju go away if you have to live in La Bachmanns district.
no need to pray friend, i’m gonna get really active (an old HS buddy is in this district and VERY involved in DFL) and help boot her skanky ass back to private life.
so she can help hubby cure teh ghey?
OK, spending alot of time in Napa. Where are you looking in the East Bay, Mary?
We have set up a sewer battle war office. Our attorney is dedicating his practice/office to multiple legal action and has hired staff to help keep documents organized. We collected $2,500.00 with more promised so far and are planning some fundraiser events. He says he is dedicated to a 2 year battle. So we are collecting more support and momentum. So CLIH is now 501 C-3 fox tax exemptions.
Good for you! I wish I could be there to help. I love Los Osos.
Hugs Mary, let me know how it’s going. Happened to me too a few years ago.
hey margot — how’s ohio tonight?
Hiya All,
No flowers in sight here — just tons of beautiful snow and some of the most wonderful pink, purple, blue and gold sunsets. Wow, the PA landscape is still beautiful, though it is hard to find now. Suzanne, everytime I open my medicine chest, a little figure of Ariel (sp?) is looking at me — placed there by one msce decades ago.
hey ce — glad to hear ya arrived safely. how cool of msce — they musta been around the same age when that movie came out.
I’m crashing. Nighters.
Another classic. Remember seeing that one in the theater. Either it was re-released or I’m older than I thought.
g’nite loohoo
Evening pups. Nite Loo Hoo.
Super cranky tonight – best to ignore me.
cruella
Yes, I think so. I have to say, I loved watching her watch the movie. She made a wonderful drawing of a mermaid in color pencil, and wrote some text on it in mirror image. I still have it, and it mystifies me to this day. How did she do that?
Hiya, pups. Just home from pre V-day dinner with Ms. ET.
Bad news – Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber have broken up.
Oakland, Berkeley.
My goal is to find a place that we can live with my daughter. She has run about of loan availability for school. She goes to school in berkeley and has two semesters to go.
And it looks like we are going to let the house go. Since the bank can take the house any damn time they please after the modification and the house needs a new roof then we aren’t staying.
hey et — how ya doing :) and oh noz…. he don’t bring her flowers anymore?
ooh (((mary))) — you ok with this? you fought for the house for so long?
Joe never struck me as the flowers type for some reason.
butcha know that sarah would want the most lavish largest and showy bouquet some one else’s money could buy
Probably because flowers and freedom don’t have much in common?
OMG – I hate to hear that about the house Mary.
I am really lonely here. I have a whole network of folks in the bay area plus my girls are there. I will miss my house and the river but I feel really isolated in R.C. Nothing is set in stone though.
If you’re renting, the Richmond Hills may be a good place to look. I used to live in Albany off Solano and loved it there. Real easy to go the Boulevard to UC.
as long as you are ok — well hell mary that is all that i ask :) there are places with creeks (if not rivers) in the bay area — maybe you can find a place that is water view or maybe even water front
LOL, thnx
hey sunny — how ya doing?
double crap i did it again… i forgot to look to make sure i didn’t get the 100
fork i hate it when i do that
I am ok. Feeling much more secure since the money drama has subsided.
much lighter of an emotional load — by the time i moved outta the cottage by the creek in the redwoods, i was ready to go. i don’t regret my time there but it was time for me to move on.
Fine. And you?
I hate the idea you’re lonely Mar.
zactly.
I am going to bed cause the drugs have kicked in. whoopie. :)
I love you guys!
enjoying the new liner the dds put in tuesday — the fit of the upper plate is all snug and i’ve not had to use any of the ucky glue stuff. my mouth is well healed now and it had gotten way loose.
g’nite mary — tuck tuck
Mary you love love culture Berkeley is loaded with progressive folks and orgs. You will be energized by that and your daughter. No coyotes to threaten your pets is a plus. Rents are pretty steep so your housing cost might be a strain on your budget. Will the bank take an estoppel deed back and hold you harmless? 605 banks have bitten the dust so they have more stringent requirements for reserves now. It is looking pretty ugly. 2 beds here around $1200.00. Sounds to me like family life is beconing. Your nurse daughter will be closer too. Best of luck and don’t pass up low incme housing if you can find it.
You’ll like coming back to the Bay, Senator. Sleep well.
Yay! How’s the lower?
still mine :)
Sunny, you have mail.
Excellent! You shouldn’t have to use the glue stuff.
Even better!
it was taking more and more of that gross stuff — i was really glad when i was in the week before and he said he was gonna replace the temp with another temp liner when i came in tue. now i don’t have to go back for 2 weeks (woohoo) still having some gagging but not as bad
Hooray!
Meant to tell you-I have always wondered about “Logical” and who sang it. Love that song, but I admit I thought it was a girl singer.
I’m telling you, I missed all of the music of the 80′s.
hahahaha love souza marches!!!
Aloha Ya’ll…! ;-)
I think my giving the NSA the finger has impacted my net service of late…! 8-(
i did too — went through a real country phase in the mid 80′s to early 90′s….
aloha ct — turning and giving all nsa monitors the traditional one finger salute (and slipping exlax into their hot chocolate)
NSA Salute! *Finger!*
We should do this at the TOP of the thread!
instead of the zed (but only at lln)
*heh* Piss ‘em off from the get go…! ;-)
I hadn’t thought instead of the zed, but maybe ya gotta a idea there; top of the LN/LLNs have a *Finger!* until net neutrality is a done deal?
otherwise — how’s paradise tonight dood?
traditional one finger salute to nsa — gotta have a way of making that shorter and yet maintain its specific meaning
I missed all of it too — two babies, one broken car, a new city, and no television. Hey that will do away with the 80′s. I did see Michael Jackson Colorforms, though…
*F!*
nonesa
i think i remember punky brewster colorforms too…..
Or as a nod to “the Christmas Story” and it’s “language”
NOTTAFINGAH!
f is too short i think
maybe traditional one finger salute to nsa is a new degree of diffulty for getting that zed making it harder to attain
Hah! I had a broken car, too! I really think all I listened to was Springsteen, Michael Jackson and Steve Winwood. Oh yeah-had a girlfriend that listened to Stevie Wonder continuously-which was fine with me. *g*
Hah! I lose it on that line every year!
heh – yes she did pass over our screen at one point. We worked so hard to have a decent life for us, and for our children. This ‘puter (PA) is almost as bad as dial-up, sorry everyone.
F.A.S.T.
Fuck All Snooping Traitors.
tis a slow pace tonight — i think folks are watching the olympics — i remember those not so distant dialup days
ooooooooo i like that newton
If so, you’re doing it well. Congrats *g*
We had an Oldsmobile 98. Everytime I took the kids to pre-school, it died in the parking lot. Such a piece of shit.
Wow, this burg is gonna be missin ya two if you clear out . . . take care of that hand gal, heal fast!
I’m trying to watch my first Harry Potter movie, but having a hard time multi-tasking for some reason. You all must be very interesting. *g*
hey larue — how ya doing tonight?
That’s Good!
when i first started moderating here — i was on dialup.
would need just a few explanations for folks to start getting its meaning
I had two cars burn up. Well, one didn’t completely burn up. Wish it had.
Windy, rainy, frigid dialup, as I recall.
I had a ’77 Plymouth Arrow. It was a good little car, but I just beat it to death. Kinda looked like a smaller Mustang. One day he just said,” I’m done.”
yup — looking back i don’t know how i did it — having a very fast machine helped. and of course, there were those forking brazen hussy squirrels that loved to snack on the phone lines
wow-how many posts nightly back then, Suz?
How you missed Super Tramp is beyond me . . . they owned the planet in the 80′s . . . even us DFH’s loved them. *G*
late late night was created when trex started getting 200 comments on late nite by 10pm pacific…. when i first started, late night was the overnight post.
’73 Nova Hatchback.
Beater, bad exhaust valves and ugly-ass purple paint…
Developed a leak in the hatch weatherstripping, which filled the spare tire well.
One day, I slammed on the brakes and a torrent of old, rusty, brackish rainwater came rushing forward and proceeded under the dash.. to the wiring. The car took its own life.
I so wanted to see that car crushed instead of shorted out. But the shorting out was pretty cool, too.
Loved your Art diary. Still here?
wow — car seppuku
I missed Super Tramp. Worked at a fundy doc’s office where only “easy listening music” was allowed.
It drowned itself. I could have called it Grover.
Hey Suz . . . same oh same oh . . . watched Mavericks online today, that was kinda fun till the tide went out and the break went to shit along with the viewing thrills.
Been really into Mi-5 on PBS past year or so . . . only TV I really watch, other than sports at times.
Got a new hookup to jam with a buddy later this month, he’s looking to put a local band together, with PA equipment, mics for us all and such . . . THAT’S got my ass fired up a bit!!! Don’t want me for stellar dobro play, which I’m NOT, but for my ability to sing parts, arrange and sing lead once in a while!
And I’m rough around the edges vocal wise, due to lack of practice in my lifetime . . . . But with a regular practice? *G*
Yeah, I’m really fired up!!!! Open mics, maybe hat money at a pub . . . and just getting out and getting the experience! Thrilled!
ok, you and newt, and others, will make this a new FDL thread. What automobile or CAR made your life complete, or, miserable?
hahahahaha
I had the lemon yellow GT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYeCGAtbG8M
playing music will get your batteries recharged dood — our local news just showed footage of the rouge waves at mavericks.. wow
don’t think that was me, CE, although I was in the art field for 20 years. I read a couple of massacio’s and they were really good. You and Rayne were pretty impressive, too.
LOL!
in the 80′s i had a ride similar to these
hey sunny — from my e-plum newsletter:
Yeah, pickin with folks who know how to pick is a real thrill . . .
Maverick’s was interesting, high tide in the morning created the wave surges that flooded them out on the beach.
Sadly, there are issues with Maverick’s ownership and management, the original guy was booted out.
And once again, corporate structure that’s running something build stuff on the beach without knowing what the fuck buoy readings and weather readings and current readings are all about, and put people to risk.
Given all the info they had to CALL the go for the event, the corporate fucks screwed up by putting ANYTHING on the beach at high tide . . . stupid is as stupid corporate will do.
Resultant lawsuits might break the org for that matter . . . who know. But for this day, for this event, it’s the biggest Big Wave Paddle In Purse ever . . . . and the overall biggest wave faces (50ft), too.
Which is half the size of tow in big wave riding in the past decade in places like Todos Santos (Mexico), Cortes Banks (100 miles off the coast of San Diego), Dungeon’s (South Africa) and Jaws (Hawaii out of Waimea Bay).
But Mavericks was kewl today, for the most part . . *G*
night all – be well
g’nite ppd
The car after the arrow was my baby- new 1988 White Mustang LX with red interior and black racing stripe. Got it for $12 K out the door in Alameda. Put 200,000 on it and gave it to my nephew. He Ryan-ized it and now may sell it. If I could find the mag wheel for it, I’d buy it back myself!
That is very kind, and thank you. I’m just a librarian. See you on Sunday?
I think I rode in the back seat of a few of those…
i think ya meant to reply to margot and clicked reply to emerson by mistake — something i’ve done many times
you are more than ‘just a librarian’ my dear
lot more fun in the driver’s seat
You are right — and it is so late. Thanks so much Suzanne! Hugs and kisses.
my pleasure sweetie
No, I saw you and Mr. Ce’s website. The mannekin alone tells me you’re not “just a librarian.” *g*
My interests are more 20th century modern masters, although I’m very familiar with the art of the Snite Collection on the Notre Dame campus, where I believe massacio got his undergrad?
Now that football is over, I’ll definitely try to stop in.
that’s not how I remember it. /s
that’s cause you didn’t have control over the special effects switches
Well., I’ve always been open to special effects.
nothing like the red white and blues flashing in sync with the strobes and the wail of the siren to get the blood pumping
had the same sensation seeing it in the rearview.
the driver of one has a frown and the driver of the other has a smile….
tres cool!
I’m way behind. Keep losing my connection :-(
That must have been in your republican days.
my republican days lasted from when i was 18 until spring of last year when i registered d for the first time in my life.
Actually the last two times I got pulled over (in the last 15 years) it was for having a light out.
:(
but that wasn’t until you had retired, right?
a common violation. even worse is pulling over someone for having a headlight out and have that driver point out the police car also has a light out
not me but cops i worked with
i retired oct 04
dayam my typos are gettingn worse
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yh_VpCB2NI
hey asdf — how ya doing tonight?
Whoa! Didn’t know it was that long ago, thought it was just 1-2 years ago. Maybe I’m thinking of when you moved north.
when i registered in tillamook was my first registration was a d (which made it official). i voted an anti r ticket in the 08 presidential primary. found i was voting more and more d in the generals the last several major ca elections i participated in
FUCK i did it again
ahhh, yes-that makes sense. So, is that when you started posting here? Did you lurk here for a while, and did this site have anything to do with registering d?
Hahaha. You can’t just turn off your skillz, Suz!
i lurked for 4 months reading every post and comment. was back when it was just jane posting here. for a while i called myself the lake’s token republican — i was still officially an r but voted pretty d. the r’s left me long before i left them. i was not required to change to a d to be here — my r voice was welcomed and it wasn’t held against me. i still think of myself as a fiscally conservative socially liberal voter — only diff now is i call myself a d instead of an r
Man, this womens speed skating relay looks more like roller derby! Women sprawled out all over the ice!
time for me to head out — wall officially has been hit
g’nite and thank you for all the cartoon memories tonight -o- hope you each have a wonderful valentine’s day tomorrow.
catch ya here tomorrow night for sunday night late late night
What year was that-was Jane was basically posting by herself?
Thanks Suzanne for the fun!
No, you spelled FUCK properly . . . spot on, gal.
*G*
I just love it when you actually CURSE!
I watched Bridge of Madison County last night on PBS and found it very romantic and sad. I think I’m getting old! ;)
