anyone remember old groove tech radio back in the early days of streaming :D
Good evening
Uhoh… I wonder if the bad weather that is hitting Arkansas is impeding ES’s arrival tonight…?
omg, a two hour video… you must have a cable connection. *s*
I guess not…! ;-)
14 inches or more on my bbq grill, CT. And it’s still coming down.
Dayam…! I feel for ya…!
*glug*
Hey newtonusr, It’s beautiful… as long as the electricity holds…)
I hope you’re stocked up on food…! It’ll be awhile before they can dig ya out…!
How come no one has invented a cold-powered, reflective snow melt thingy?
There’s a market to corner.
if I don’t stop baking… i’m going to look like a DFH pillsbury dough boy..)
lol,I’ve already listened to it once already :S
Will be right over.
Hoping for cinnamon rolls.
Cold-powered, eh…? ;-)
So, recipes?
The cold makes me cook, too. Tomorrow — soup and roast chicken. I baked all December, so on to roasting.
i know…
Hi Sunny, nothing too special.. just chocolate chocolate cookies… a loaf of honey beer bread, scalloped potatoes.
Tomorrow I am going to roast that pork loin dijon and apple recipe I mentioned a short while back.
loaf of honey beer bread
Ooh, that sounds pretty cool…!
Love those Tindersticks, ES! where did they come from? The way they shot the video reminds me of the Beatles touring the basement clubs throughout Europe.
Sounds special to me. Particularly honey beer bread.
I’ve a new mexican restaurant nearby. Tonight it was chicken soup and margaritas. There is some mex chicken soup secret I don’t get. Margaritas I do get… mood elevators!
http://theutubeblog.com/2009/04/09/lisa-hannigan-i-dont-know-video/
I know that I posted this last year, but Lisa Hannigan makes me happy.
Hey emerson, new to me too. Their myspace page says they are from:
Limousin/Prague/London
United Kingdom
Always post what makes you happy…)
I remember that vid.. “tis a good one.
We need happy in the deep of winter.
Gimme a break, you recall the FIRST streaming radio station on the toobz?
Lemme know . . . I’m holding the truth till ya commit . . . .

Hi PPDCUS
You’re only as old as ya feel…! ;-)
Aloha, PPD…!
Since today at 4:30 — “like a little girl”
there was a killer documentary on democracy now this morning with Jeremy
Scahill on Nisour Square Blackwater Massacre — devastating
That’s an old one…! Here’s my latest…! ;-)
Btw, I do feel sorry for MM…! 8-(
Howdy . . .
CE, it won’t let me select a profile/leave a comment. And I have been registered with google/blogger forever.
Connection has gone wonky… I’m out.
Torture?
Old? Who’s old?
Yer Only Pretty As You Feel
Night Sunny
?
Hiya PPDCUS! Such a cold night here!
Sorry to see ya go, Sunny…! Aloha!
Caught that, Constitution. All the father wanted was an apology. Scumbags tried to pin it on the US Military.
Read the comments…!
Is it archived at DN…?
ES,
mrce just heard from Suzanne! Keep at it.
beat the fried green director outta me :P
*Heh* She’s lurking again…! ;-)
He was so surprised! I had to explain “blogwhore” among other stuff! Hey Suzanne!
I see hers, but I still can’t leave one in safari or ff. Hmmmm.
I have no hope for our AF/Pak efforts, I’ve been an anti war protester since Vietnam, when I was a pre teen, teen and more.
We are a nation at war, as part of our major money making processes.
And that’s not new.
Not since WW2.
You know it, I know it.
In the grand figure, we have a hell of a lot of shit to fix, if we can.
It’s all corporate and facisct based . . . lemme know when you got some solutions and changes to it all, I sure don’t.
And YOU got the military background . . . how do we change any of this?
Love and respect your comments, and posts, but how do we change any of this?
We ALL know what’s wrong . . . that’s not a point of contention, no more.
How do we fix it?
That’s MY point of contention. I’m long past of the progs being aware, now, I wanna know, what we’ll DO about what we know.
Bless FDL, and others, for hipping us to a new awareness (I was hip since I was 16, I’m 57).
But now, what’s next?????
I did “join” with a stupid blank picture. Now that I have a real photo, I can’t change it … we will figure it all out.
KPIG.com
In ff. Hmm.
I just put a post up at Seminal on the SCOTUS ruling in Citizens United v. FEC.
I hope some lawyers check details, so we can figure out where things really stand.
Nite Suz
Point blank… By getting the f*ck outta there most rickety-tick…! 8-(
droiddoes
I know you will.
Anyway.. I’ll just post my comment here..)
Love that new blog smell. love the mask photo too.
Good luck with everything. Most of all have fun!
Does that make me a comment whore?
*art whoring!!!*

Thanks so much for your kind acknowledgments of mrce’s blog debut. The image image in the banner is an anatomical manikin from France, by Dr. Auzoux, circa. 1920. We visited his shop in Paris, before they tore it down in 2003. Hey ES, thanks!
Uh oh, we’re just a bunch of whores, eh…? Who’s the pimp…? ;-)
RR R AAAAWWWW!!!!111
here ya go, CT http://www.democracynow.org/2010/1/29/exclusiveblackwaters_youngest_victim_father_of_9
And for that, I love and heart ya, then . . . .
Bless ya in Hawaiian, however it’s said . . . and I stand with ya, all the way.
*G*
Oh, that is lovely!
I just posted a comment about the banner –one has to choose where to post, I chose Google from others. See if that helps.
Time for me to turn in.
Good night firedogs
Mahalo, PPD…! I shall watch it later…! Well, I’m headed outside for the next hour…! Caio to any sleepers…! *g*
Aloha, ES…! Sleep tight…! *g*
Nitey ES, thanks for the music and thoughts.
Many of us are united, in many ways.
Always appreciate your ways.
NItey also, CT . . . be warm on the mountain, hoss . . .
And be well with your family and place on the planet . . .
Mahalo, and namaste, hoss.

I still here, and it is really cold!
outside is pretty snappy, i must say.
And I just got back from MR. CE’s spot and also was unable to log on and comment.
But I am new at this whole toobz thingy and I guess I need more practice.
I’m baaaack.
Wanted to send mr ce a note, but am not registered with any of the stipulated sites: Live Journal, Word Press, Type Pad, AIM, Open ID.
You folks got any -non google- recs?
plus “am”
if i had my druthers i’d go with Open ID.
Do you have a gmail account? Most of the blogs run on it now. Or, others Blogspot offers…
Thanks. Good to see ya!
I’ll get back to you soon. Night newt!
Rose is interviewing Summers in Davos. I feel a lapdog motif coming.
I do.
Unfortunately, logging in with my Google ID would reveal my real name, which is a commonly used expletive combined with the name of a marital aid frequented by porn stars.
Gawd, did I catch Hell in high school.
Seriously, I tried 3 different formats, including Google. They all failed.
Geez newt,
I don’t know what to say. This being SO NEW tonight — mrce and staff are just starting the blog.
Let’s try to figure this out. By the way — heh heh, have you seen MY BLOG at Ingallslibrary at clevelandart dot org
So Summers is trashing the Bush years . Funny since he and his fellow criminals just padded their bank accounts. Don’t think I’ll be able to watch much more. Forkin looters.
Google is notorious for login instability at the start. They have recently combined Youtube account names with Google account information, and it has created a hash of their login servers, is my conjecture. It usually clears up in a couple of days.
Works now.
Give it some time and it comes around.
Congrats!
likewise :)
Summers makes me crazy. Academic endowments – spit.
This forker can’t even look anyone in the eye as he lies his tongue off. Yeah Larry, you, Geithner and Volcker are best buds.
Anybody still around…?
*taps mic*

:D
That was fun. g’nite.
*heh* Sesame Street…? ;-)
yup :)
I swear the Goopers just can’t stop digging at the hole they’re in…!
that even new? lol
Well, they did discard the more rigid litmus test…! ;-)
follow the money? :>
Good morning.
Buenos dias, Senora.
guten morgen
Middle of the night for you?
It’s 7 degrees here. Brrrr. Even the kitteh didn’t want to be outside for long.
Coconut cake on the list to make after I finish my coffee. Dinner party tonight. demi, you’re invited if you can make it. The chocolate mint shortbread tastes great, but very crumbly.
Feels like it. Got 4 hours, then woke up again. And, again I’m trying the warm milk.
It’s was very pleasant here yesterday and I got most of my yard work done. There are trees in bloom and the hills are turning green. Even my pink jasmine looks like it’s getting ready.
I better stay in SC, ’cause I don’t think I could handle 7 degrees.
Sheky, get the jet! Yummers.
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. Ms. Collins addresses “Another Inconvenient Truth,” and says the Bloomberg rebellion against holding a terror trial in Lower Manhattan fits right into the sour, us-first mood that’s settled over the country. Mr. Blow, in “Lost in Translation,” says the president has yet to realize that people want clear goals, clearly defined and clearly (and concisely) conveyed. Mr. Herbert remembers “A Radical Treasure,” and asks us to think of what this country would be like if Howard Zinn and others like him never bothered to fight for what they believed in.
Here they are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got French toast made with challah and a bit of cinnamon. The house is full of wet cats. Almost all of the porch kittehs have come inside for breakfast to get out of the rain, and so far it’s been a peaceable kingdom. I’ll leave you with one small thought from the last bit if Mr. Herbert’s column on Howard Zinn:
Have a great day.
Going up to a toasty 22 today according to the weather forecast. I could use a warm spell. Since mid-December have had only a couple of days in the 50s, otherwise mostly below freezing. I’m hoping my bee girls are keeping warm.
Do you a hoodie for the hive?
(((Howard Zinn))) and all who mourn him. What an unfortunately true sentence.
Does anyone else get sucked in by some of the Huff’s titles? Hillary Clinton’s Wardrobe malfunction. Oh, for goodness sake, she stepped out of one of shoes. I was thinking more like that Superbowl thingy.
nice thought :)
They hibernate in a cluster in the middle, eating the honey they stored up. The middle of the cluster works its way to the outside & vice versa, so they keep warm enough.
The queen starts to lay again in February before anything is in blossom, so that is the time of greatest stress. If there isn’t enough stored honey then, massive die-off.
Speaking of trees in blossom in SoCal in February, the greatest stressor in this country for honey bees is the almond crop. For hundreds of miles there is nothing by almond orchards, not even any hedge rows. Millions of honey bees are shipped in, fertilizing almond trees is complicated (I forget the details, but something about how many trees they have to visit to make it work), almond trees have no nectar (which is what gets made into honey for adult bees to eat), only pollen, and the commercial bee keepers feed the bees only sugar water. Not to mention insecticide sprays. Die-offs of 30% and rising.
Dog, it’s freezing this morning. NOAA says it’s 5 at the airport, which means that it’s below zero at my house. And we will NOT discuss wind chill factor.
Are they all girls? I guess the boys die off– they’re only needed for reproduction. You’d think the girls would want to keep some boys around to protect them.
georgie porgie, pudding and pie!
Just an fyi – I’m upstairs doing PUAC this morning; Deveria has a family health issue to deal with. The topic is: Child’s play.
