New videos from She Keeps Bees and Brian Patrick Band.
Firedog Edward Teller has his first draft War Dirge, the third movement from his latest composition, Hindu Kush, up and available for listening now.
What’s on your mind tonight?
She Keeps Bees – chick with guitar.
mmmmm
Evening newtonusr…)
Should’ve posted this yesterday. Dick Gaughan sings Robbie Burns.
War Dirge
Nice
Love the second vid, ES, the first one, not so much . . . .
Aside from that, hope you are warm and safe, ugly weather still across the states.
Be well, be warm, be belly full of of your desires . . *G*
Wonderful. I’m going to add a link to your post up top.
Thanks
I still have that troll hook in my mouth. Usually they don’t get to me but tonight for some reason I got angry. Who are those creeps anywho?
I bow, that’s some fine, fine Irish folk set to poetry . . .
Thanks for sharing that . . . really, really, sweet . . .
*G*
Beautiful, ET.
The photograph is haunting, disturbing.
This To Ed Teller: My relpy don’t work.
I am without ability to reply with grace . . . . I lack the musical and language capability to do so.
I’m pretty sure, it’s epic. Really, really, epic.
Good on yas.
Wow.
I used your ET name. Would you prefer your other name?
It doesn’t matter.
Thanks, Larue.
Which one? Been a plenty, of all sorts, lately . . . .
A testament to truth, I’d say.
Help me out, I need rec’s . . .
So What Do We Do?
I guess, I’m a bit out there for most . . . . but it’s a simple sitch, and a few questions.
;-)
Bless ya ET . . .
Your first reply/comment in your own thread was stellar.
Amazing piece of music. Thank you.
Wow, coming from you, I’m in greatful appreciation and humbly doing so.
Really, thank you for that comment, bless ya, and I owe you a beverage of plate full of any thing I can bring to yas.
Thanks so much, ES . . . really.
Bless ya.
Greetings,
ES, I have to give a shout to the first video. I liked it. It must be a guy thing.
Irish?
Same.
Probably explains why I like Scout.
Thanks, Skilly. I tell ya these days i bounce back and forth between loud growling electric, folk, and jazz.
Nice to find decent recordings like she keeps bees.. usually little metal youtubes are poorly recorded.
Davy Steele singing Robert Burns

Very impressive, ET. Thanks for sharing.
Burns? The player?
Are they not Irish? Or Celtic?
Brits? I sure missed THAT if it’s the case!!!
*G*
Not that well steeped in lit, as you can tell, thought Burns was Irish!!!!
Am I the only one who would like to see a video of Mr. Burns (The Simpsons) singing Robert Burns?
Very nice Margot! Thanks! I love all Robbie Burns tribute music. And we missed the Robert Burns dedication on Saturday, worldwide.
No, you are not alone…)
Discovered any new bands lately?
I didn’t like it because she is just banging SIMPLE chords, shows NO ability to play lead, or melody, or harmony on the git. And really shows no RHYTHM ability on git to even punch up her song. She walks thru her base chords. It’s too basic, simple, and musically, short of fullness or development of ability and talent.
It’s fine, for a basement tape, but it’s not grand, by any sense of the word or effort.
And, her voice is nice, but without harmonies to support it, falls short of any grandeur it might accomplish.
A FINE basement tape, not a piece to showcase any musical ability she might have . . . if she has it.
JMHO, ya know . . . ;-) And yes, I’m fussy about music . . . sorry.
Here ya go Larue
And I RESENT the guy thing bit, I do.
Thanks margot – lovely.
Ok fine, a SCOT!!!
My bad!
*G*
All true, but her vid to me, resonated for the same reasons your diary did.
True grit, if you will.
I love the tension in that piece. And the ambulance sirens (to me, at least. *g*)
Thanks, I just spanked my own self on this . . . sigh.
*G*
Not like Scotland and Ireland were far apart, land wise or politically, under Brit Rule . . . ;-)
Evening Sunny and emerson.
Leaving…
On that, her true grit, I would say it’s all out there to be shown.
Can’t argue it . . . I just loved the second vid so much more . . . musically.
Sorry if I whined about your selection, I was more about Skilly’s reply than your original post.
Please forgive . . . my bad.
Thanks and hi Sunny, Chris, ES, everyone.
evening, ES & firepups
Whine on dude.. That’s why I love art. Interpretation/ beholder and all that.
SO I am drinking sherry tonight. Does that make me an elitist?
Night CE
ES,
I rarely have time to find new stuff anymore. I am in the young children phase of my life, so right now I am stuck with the wiggles, jonas brothers and my kids let me play Keb mo’ from time to time. I kind of liked the Newish album from the Bodeans, “Still” but I couldn’t find any links for it in a quick search.
Dost thou pinky protrude?
I have to admit, I was trying to draw your ire with the blatantly sexist comment. I feel bad about it now.
One word. headphones…)
I used to like the Bodeans.. had no idea they were still at it.
Absolutely not. *s*
Maybe I should start drinking it out of a sierra cup.
Here a go and Good evening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_9k5ppOL7E Bodeans Still of The Night
Hi ES! I like video 2 tonite, Seem to be liking harmonica lately.
Me too… We will keep a LLN eye out for more from these guys.
hey margot
Not like Scotland and Ireland were far apart, land wise or politically, under Brit Rule . . . ;-)
Ain’t gonna touch that one, no I’m not *g*
Thanks for the links but not what I had in mind. the latest album is a T-Bone Burnett produced piece that grabs some of the late 80′s sound from their first two albums. It’s nice listen and slice of mid-western sentiment. It is kind of strange that I can not find any links to the album. The my space official page does not even list it in the discography. hmmm.
But since i mentioned Keb Mo here is one from him.
Evening eureka. ‘nite chris.
ES
I am drinking cold filtered Pacific Ocean Rain water. Soo Smooth and refreshing with a little dry cranberries. After a sorat turky chili boullabaise with 1/2 pond of wild sockeye salmon.
Did not notice pinky Newt
Hi PPD, how are you?
Citizen EdwardTeller:
I want to hear the orchestration of this…it will go next to my copy of Ben Britten’s “War Requiem”. You are composing music for the anti-war movement that is gunna take ObamaRhama down.
That’s right folks, our fight against corporatism and American fascism has finally hit bedrock, everyone who voted for Obama and all the things that can not now be done because of the corporate wars in the Middle East now make up a coalition that, if it hits the streets, can make ObamaRhama the 21st century LBJ. If there is not peace the will be no healthcare. If there is not peace there will be no jobs. If there is not peace there will be no more America…simple folks. And don’t howl at the moon and sell our birthright to a lunatic third party failure, take to the streets and take our party and our country back.
Sounds fantastic, bb.
it snowed all afternoon here but didn’t amount to much. So I spent the day stacking wood and preparing for round two of winter ’09/’10.
Time for me to turn in. Good night fabulous firedogs.
Good to have you back Norske.
night
g’nite ES. Me too.
nite eureka. Don’t wanna fight round two, I’ll just concede.

Thank you for your kindness of heart . . . yer a good hooman, ya are . . . *G*
Arm in arm, brother Norske, when and where . . .
Arm in arm, once again, as before . .
Then and there.

In Sacto.

Hey ES,
Can anyone get in on this? ;-)
