The subject of the call in was an editorial in the WaPoo that Obama, who had stayed the deportation of 30,000 Haitians, in the U.S. illegally, but will not give them temporary status so they can try to find jobs to send money home. That hateful caller said that there aren’t enough jobs in the U.S. It is simply amazing to me that some people like her cannot unlock their hearts by even a smidge when people are dying and starving in conditions that are unimaginably bad.

Seriously, I’m sick with sorrow for the people of Haiti, it is unbearable to watch, but I don’t understand what’s happening here. This is more than a little bit unprecedented. It isn’t happening for humanitaruian reasons, because there is no such thing on cable news or in the White House. So what gives?
