Oh, paying for the sins of a misspent youth, but with a lot to be grateful for. *g*
Okay, misspent youth, and young adulthood, and early middle age, and…
Did anyone hear how Teddy did on the radio?

How’s the weather there?
Hey, pups. Depressing day, hmmm? Hope it isn’t true about dropping the employer mandate…and all the other bad news…
Watched news from Haiti until I couldn’t watch anymore.
Surfing around the web, checkng on old acquaintances “social networking” sites – discovered an old friend, and first huuuuuge crush, has died. Shock. A golden boy, the kind you thought would live forever….
Guess you know you’re old when age 60 is way too young..
Sorry to harsh anyone’s mellow (oh god, now I’m talking old, too)
Anyone have good news? Has Dr. Dick gotten over his fall?
night all – be well
Evening tejanarusa. I’ve been wondering how your trip in the storm worked out and if your mother is ok.
Looked like you were in the worst of the weather.
Oh, that’s sweet. Actually, I just missed arriving in the storm. Skies clear when we landed; went to get my rental car for driving north from BWI – exiting the rental car garage the snow was falling – illuminated in the streetlights. Very pretty.
It never got bad all through the drive – Falling lightly, the bulk of the storm just behind me. Woke up the next morning – still falling. Finally stopped late the next night with about 17 in. where we were. No prob.
Except I couldn’t get to the hospital! Way past visiting hours when I arrived – streets not cleared til late Sun., by which time Mom was home. Incident not as serious as first feared. But she was weak, needed help around the apt., which I did my best to do. Hardest part was getting stuff done before she could do it….in her own words, she’s a tough ol’ bird.
Where’d everybody go? Hope I didn’t shut down conversation.. Please return and be merry everyone!
Mm, well, it is a lot later than I thought…
That’s all good news. Tough ol’ bird is a fine quality, particularly in a mom. Mine was one too. Driving herself to the Y to work out well into her 90s.
Wow. Gotta admit my mom hasn’t driven for years–but then she learned to drive late and never really enjoyed it.
Re the Y – mine swears doing “her own” housework is plenty of exercise, and she never “wasted her husband’s money” paying to exercise. LOL.
