[...] Nearly two-thirds of people questioned in the poll say they have a moderate or great deal of confidence in the administration to protect the public from future terrorist attacks, up 2 points from August. Thirty-five percent say they have not much or no confidence at all, down 1 point from August.
Just like Palin and Bachmann, Liz is preaching to the 35-percenter choir.

I would like to have seen a few more sentences from either Rachel or Chris or both aimed at Stephanopoulos for having asked the question but then not just cutting Cheney off mid-sentence for blatantly and amateurishly dodging it. What’s his excuse for allowing Cheney to remain comfortable that she can lie on his program and not be taken to task for it? Make Stephanopoulos answer for his actions/non actions.
Liz Cheney deserves our sympathy. What a horrible fate to be the conception of not just one but two ultra-villains.

The more important question is…
Can Obama protect the world from people like Cheney?
That would require Obama to make a deadly serious choice:
(a) Rule of Law
or
(b) Look Forward, Not Backward
Those two options are mutually exclusive.

I’m not sure what you meant by that, but Greenwald does it all the time. I obviously meant that it would have been preferable if the ‘anchor’ in this instance was concretely held responsible, but in my comment I was specifically advocating that it would have been preferable if Rachel and or Chris would have at least called George S. out for letting the question drop as he did. But, like I said, Greenwald does that on a regular basis, and has even had some who he has done that to send inane email replies (John King) which results in them making asses (John King) of themselves.

I think the backstage folks are at it again. Notice the new header. With Verizon’s special dial-up speed at DSL payment rates I get to look around at various stages of a web page loading. I get a gray background for a while with different things highlighted. Too bad I’m straight. Nice colour shifts.
Also if Rachel is thinking that because Bush did it, that justifies or takes the sting away from this Obama blunder or the probable effectiveness of this Ad, she like many Dems IMO are wrong. Few people on this planet want GWB to be the base case measurement for Presidential performance, so please move on, we all are expecting better and have much higher expecation than Bush’s did it therefore not to mention the end of the dumb down agruments of pundits.
