Nowadays, I don’t know the exact count, but in the weeks since the November 2008 election, about 60 weeks, I’d bet one of the modern “Lame Triumvirate” of Joe Lieberman, Lindsey Graham and John McCain have been on the Sunday talk-fests nearly every week.
Lieberman especially has made the rounds the past two weeks in his usual manner — never seeing a war or persecution of a Muslim that he could pass up. Last week was calling for yet another preemptive war, this time in Yemen — apparently before Americans could learn where the hell Yemen was. Well that was irritating enough to we liberals, but he has not yet begun to spit in the face of decency.
How about he parrots Duncan Hunter’s old talking points?
“You could not find a better, more humane facility for a detention center in the world,” Lieberman told ABC’s Terry Moran Sunday.
Though his claims are not supported by numerous reports from Cuba, they were not challenged on ABC.
Of course, they were not challenged — if Lieberman were challenged on every lie and half-truth he (or his two amigos) spouted he’d never have time to come up with new ones. And it’s impolite in the Village to be rude to such a venerable insufferable jackass.

The never ending appearances of these three (and a handful of other bloviating buffoons) is the reason I no longer watch the Sunday shows.
Must agree with Nate, I’ve also quit watching.
However, I don’t think Lieberman would be hard-pressed to come up with more lies and half-truths. It comes as naturally to him as breathing comes to the rest of us. In Joe’s world if you have time to breathe, you have time to lie.
The Sunday clown shows are made for their advertisers, particularly military-industrial and medical-pharma. I already know what they want us to think. And if someone does say something important, there are always transcripts.
Watching the Clown Shows is a total waste of time.
As Maj. Gen. Butler said, “War is a Racket.” As I recall terrorist where “systematically irradiated” by Massad after the “Terrorist Attacks” on the Olympic Village in Munich, killing Israel’s athletes. America’s dysfunctional response to terror is a defeatist policy which has extracted more blood and treasure from the republic than the terror attack itself? Instead of a quiet covert effective response to 911, policymakers embarked on a ill conceived plan whose historical record is one of debauchery and the gutting of Life and Liberty.
Nice job to John, Joe, Lindsey, and your fellow “corpo-aristos,” capable of manipulating and coercing public opinion via people in little black boxes, to protect the very “”corporate cash cows”" which enslave America?
Richard Engel’s description of the killing of the CIA agents is interesting, should get a lot of play later today.
Have not watched any news, or purportedly news, programs for many a year. No talking heads or talking assholes for me. However the number of people that I run into that have Faux news on all the time at their house and quote them as though gospel is astounding. I am expecting more lies to spout from people I know this morning as they take the words of the idiots on Sunday morning and base opinions and conversation on them. Sad really but that is what many many people in this country presume to be the “truth” and have no bloody interest in anything that may disabuse them.
What everyone needs to do is only read, watch and listen to shit that only supports what they already believe.

Good morning, pups. It’s Monday. I hate Monday because it means “putz.” Oh, gawd… The Pasty Little Putz hates big gummint. I think you mean “ANTE-bellum” not anti-bellum.
Stooges will always be with us; it’s our job to refute their “message” at every opportunity, as it’s obvious that that the corporate media will not do so. In this day and age we also have to be aware of the special relationship between President Obama and Joe Lieberman. When Obama first came to Washington as a new U.S. Senator, Lieberman took Obama under his wing and became his mentor. Obama campaigned for Lieberman in ’06 when Connecticut’s Democrats refused to renominate Joe for the senate, and the president is still standing behind Joe when he throws monkey wrenches into legislation in the senate.
It’s obvious that Lieberman is doing Obama’s bidding to force through the senate the legislation that Obama favors. If this is a conspiracy theory, there are myriad examples of the way it has been working regarding the health insurance reform bill. And Obama has been ordering predator drone bombing of Yemen for some months now, so what Joe says on the Sunday shows about opening up a new front in the “War on Terrorists” in Yemen is already underway.

Everyone on this blog knows that the Sunday talking heads are there to merely promote propaganda. What’s sad is that the majority of the American public thinks these programs are legitimate.

If a democrat is repeatedly on the Sunday shows…They seem to be safe..never really go outside the box.
Remember when Joe Biden was on every Sunday? Says more about who is on than what they have to say.

It’s antebellum. Sometimes ya’ just cannot spell late at night or early in the morning. One of the editors caught it for me sometime.
Believe it or not, there are Americans that know where Yemen is. But they probably didn’t get their education in the American public school system.
Yeah since those classes on things like geography don’t actually help folks pass all the tests that are now required. Kind of hard to learn geography when all the time is spent testing isn’t it?
