Margot, that happened to me two years ago, Christmastime. A freak electrical storm…lightning strike went right through my surge suppressor and then the cable-fried the TV, cable box, and computer. Was down for about 6 weeks.

Busted! Likewise….pretty well, at the moment. Broke as a church mouse, but, hey, hell of a lot better than last year- today (12/21) was the 1 year anniversary of my daughter getting run over. She’s sitting oon the couch typing away right now, so by comparison, I’ve NOTHIN’ to bitch about. How the hell are you?

Ni ES we have a soft steady rain all day slept after an all nighter. Got my Coastal commission appeal in under the wire. Nice to have normal weather.

Thanks man, but she’s fine…I spent a bunch of time lurking on fdl last year, and everyone was great whenever I surfaced. The FDL community has been a great source of comfort and support through more s*** than I care to think about, and like Busted, I consider it my home, and I’ll hang here for as long as they’ll have me.

Dude, I was crossing the Sunshine Skyway Bridge across Tampa Bay once, and saw FIVE waterspouts at the same time. I could not get off that bridge fast enough…my Dad used to claim that one had picked his boat up out of the water, with him in it, and then set it back down.
