What’s on your mind?
Aloha, Suz,,,! I’m Back…!

Hey Suz!
hey nahant how’s the bay area tonight?
hey newton — how ya been?
Whew… I’m on fire tonite, eh…? ;-)
nahant, we’ve been trolled enough, but I think CT is ok! :)
Wet & Cold 45 last I checked..
how about you Suz.. still ch ch chilling?
hey dearie — how’s the so central ca coast tonight?
Newt… I didn’t get to say ‘aloha’ to ya properly…! *g*
for sure..
still a suzcicle — but it has warmed to the the low 20′s instead of low to mid teens it has been all week. tomorrow nite we will probably get some freezing rain.
oh joy.
Freezing rain, black ice, the worst. Our forcast is very cold, but SUNNY — that is very rare here.
The lower central coast (I’m still recovering from being dissed about being not enough central coast….. I’ll get over it) is cool and rainy. We had fabulous snow on the Los Padres Mountains recently…..just lovely. I spent 25 years in the Midwest with tons of snow, so I get to enjoy the dustings we get out here in the coastal west.
I should hope so, dearie…! I do come in peace and I wouldn’t harm a flea…! ;-)
stay close to yodel..
ET Jr. was chipping ice on the deck of the oyster barge he’s working on in Arcata Bay in California this morning at sunup. The folks down there haven’t had to do that recently. They love him. Chipping ice and insulating hoses makes him feel at home.
Minus 5 F here in Wasilla, Alaska.
black ice is horrible. a close friend of stephanie’s was driving to work today and hit a patch, causing her to slide past the stop sign she was braking for and she was t-boned by a semi. she is very very lucky to have no life threatening injuries but they did life flight her from wyoming to salt lake city for orthopedic work. she gotta bunch of broken brones, including 5 pelvic fractures.
stephanie asked me to ask the readers tonight to include keesh in their prayers and positive thoughts.
Jimmy Fallon and wives of New York…on NBC.
hey et — brrrrrrr
Suz, you will appreciate what was going on in the Santa Cruz area — my dad tells me that snow was down to 500 feet and that Highway 17 was socked in. I can’t imagine!
Oh Suzanne,
that is a horrible story! Sending all the best wishes for a fast recovery.
it finally snowed at the cabin by the creek in the woods — never snowed there the entire time i was there. snowed the year before i moved in and the year after i moved out (laughing)
Hey Suz, that’s a new Dolly song for me, I like it. Remember Muleskinner? THat’s the first song I ever heard by her.
Balmy 23, going to 20 tomorrow night (.
thanks ce — stephanie said she was wrapped in the hands of god — she was hit on the drivers door and never lost conciousness and has no head injuries. she was very very lucky. the car, needless to say, was totaled.
And cold…..we’re just not used to cold. I finally had to put on some socks and real shoes. I’ve lived in sandals most of my life. And didn’t mind the sandals a bit….really. You betcha.
OMG. Best thoughts.
Ah, the Man from Connecticut returns!
Cold out there?
hey margot — i do remember muleskinner. been a dolly fan for many years. jolene.
oh sunny — shrudder
Will do, definitely.
Lovely. Wet.
((((keesh))))
And all those broken bones — just so sad.
I love Dolly Parton, especially the early 1970s, but I tend to avoid Christmas vids, especially C&W. This one has some charm, though.
Doing a quick read of Going Rouge. My friend Jeanne Devon is hosting the Saturday fdl book salon, which will have the book’s editors – Richard Kim & Betsy Reed – on for Q&A.
hey loohoo — thanks. i was quite touched that stephannie asked me to ask.
You’ll love Coat of Many Colors.
did you see margaret and helen’s review of the palin tome?
thanks folks — she has 12 broken ribs and busted up her hands pretty badly gripping the steering wheel. a broken scapula and the pelvic fractures — but no internal bleeding — no internal injuries and no head injury.
Suz, I’m lovin’ Helen’s read of Palin’s rag. Gotta love us old gals! Talkin’ truth.
Wow Suz. Very fortunate.
i loved that she could only get through the first chapter. part of me wants her to finish the book but the other part of me worries what would happen to her if she did….
Does anyone know how to get rid of ants? We have ‘em. We cleaned up the kitchen really well. We put out those traps and they just laughed. Soapy water kills ‘em but they keep coming. It is cold outside. Maybe they just need warmth.
Amazing. She will be fine but it will be hard work.
Heh, it’s a downright frigid 71 degrees…! I love sea level in these here parts…! ;-)
put coffee grounds around the kitchen baseboard.. or where ever they are coming in. i had ants in boulder creek and did that and they did not cross the grounds — they don’t like the sharp edges of the grinds.
grrrrrrrrrrrr
I do, it’s beautiful!
Good idea. I do that for snails in the garden. Now the turkeys take care of the snails.
No head injury is the key. My daughters were both in a horrible accident when they were 6 and 4. The babysitter went head on with a firetruck…babysitter was killed, one daughter had a broken jaw, the other had multiple injuries including 57 stitches to her head. No brain damage in either child. A miracle.
The crazy part is that we know Mz Palin didn’t write the book, anymore than she writes her facebook updates or her “op-ed”s — I don’t know why anyone is still reading anything about her…..but I’ll still read the MargaretandHelen reviews for the pleasure of Helen’s delightful writing!
Did ya particularly like the part that said it feels like 71 degrees…? ;-) (Ducking…)
ohmystars loohoo. a miracle indeed
Good night all,
Holidays arriving, and I’m looking forward to seeing friends and family. See you tomorrow!
I got some Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint soap and cut it in a few pieces, left them where the ants were, and soon… no more ants. I read they just hate the smell. Wiping the area with a little peppermint oil would work too I bet, but this is so easy and cheap.
Scary. I am so glad your children are ok. Must have been really horrible for you all.
i have a line of kosher salt in front of the kitchen door to stop the slugs from coming in. works very well
Night Chris, good to see you!
Try chalk lines. There’s a chalk I still have from China, don’t know if it’s different than regular chalk, but apparently the little critters are scared of it.
g’nite ce
I will try that, too. My kitchen is going to smell wonderful.
don’t make me use the LQQK dood
well pups time to hit the hay… a CT scanner made a date with me early in the am..
Sleep Well Pups..
No. I’m writing a pre-book salon piece for the Seminal right now.
Wow. Blessings. Life really does deal some cards.
Oh noes…! A miracle indeed… I was in a horrific crash when I was 5-6…! Maybe that explains my condition…!
Any wonder she won’t debate Al Gore?!
g’nite nahant
Aloha, CE…!
TROLLS have posted less n you lately!!! *G*
here’s the link et
Best of luck, nahant…! Aloha…!
The worst time of my life. Surreal. Kids heal so quickly though, it’s amazing. Took me a lot longer than them.!
I wish she would. heeheheheeehehheheehehe.
Heh, what’s yer point…? 8-P
hey larue
It’s pick-on-CTut-Night!
Don’t try to explain it away!!! Hugs, CT.
Terrifying story (((Loo Hoo))
Why not…! I’m still giddy from being online all day…! *g*
wanna share with those of us who have not been online all day how you came to do so?
He was on troll patrol.
OMG, can you see a serious journalist holding a debate between Sarah Palin and Al Gore? The Stewart and Colbert scripts write themselves.
I’ve read that. That’s a review of Going Rogue. The Saturday book salon is a review of Going Rouge. Different book.
Jane Hamsher’s part of a panel in the final chapter, called, “”What is Sarah Palin’s Future in American Politics?”
Problem is I fine both of them irritating. One more than the other.
must be feeling frisky or something
It’s good to see ya again . . . yer more fun to jostle with than the trolls, for sure.
That’s ONE of my points . . . ;-)
sorry my bad.
Yeah, that whole Connecticut thing really pisses me off . . . had NO idea it was in the tropics. *G*
East coast elite AND the tropics . . . harumph . . lol
I know. Gore is difficult to listen to, but at least at long last he makes sense. Imagine the debate!
clear articulated thoughtful sentences vs word salad.
Hey Guys, thank you so much for your prayers and warm thoughts for Keesha. She is going into surgery right now but is in really good spirits! This is truly a miracle! Good video mom!!
Hey Mary Mac . . . Rep Doris Matsui had a phone town hall tonight.
18,000++++++++!!!!!!
I never got to ask my question!
18K, for a Sacto rep . . . think folks ain’t engaging or not pissed?
This country is about one camel backs straw away from major public protests, methinks.
CTut can see… Nova Scotia from his front porch!
hey stephanie…. glad ya liked the video
Hey Charlie!
Nice to see you.
Thanks! Nice to see you too!
OMG! That is great. How was Matsui? I sort of like her. Beats the hell out of my rep. I refuse to say his name. Fucker.
Larue,
Where was the meeting?
his ancestral home!
*G*
ET Like’s His HeadBanging. Farewell Nova Scotia!
i’m totally confused — ct is in CT?
On my telephone, dear, on my telephone . . . like angels on the head of the pin . . . *G*
oooops. Missed that part.
Keesha??? Best wishes for sure.
looks like a link but it is not
He isn’t always difficult to listen to.
He made two speeches in the middle of the Bush years that were among the best in recent American public affairs. His Cooper Union speech – I think it was 2005 – was one of the best in the last generation. I wish it were on YouTube!
She pretty much waffled on everything.
One thing that CRACKED me up was her bragging about a $127 Million Grant to Sacto Region to fund development and placement of devices to chart the grid.
Cuz ya see, that device can tell us when to turn off our heat and electricity and AC . . .
Like I need a fucking device to do that?
Fuckin loon, her aides let her slip on that one . . . bad aides . . .
how was your drive from kansas to colorado today steph?
Is that supposed to be a link? It doesn’t work on my MacBook.
She is my friend who was in the car accident earlier today that my mom (Suzanne) told you about
Fixed, thanks, sorry bout that Pups . . . worth the clicky at my #103 now . . .
I know. Gore is brilliant, it just takes some patience and concentration to follow him.
Sarah? It takes strong liquor to follow her.
Positives sent, Suzanne.
Tiring, long, forking cold! and crammed :D
hey emerson — how’s the east bay tonight?
I didn’t realize Suz was your mom! What a lucky daughter you are!!!
VERY STRONG LIQUOR!!!
Only 119 comments?
A More Trad Version Of Farewell Nova Scotia
forking cold — that’s my girl :)
hey rat
Indeed!! She’s basically totally amazing! (I love you mom!! Remember my potential christmas present *wink wink*) LOL. Everyone says I get my sunny disposition from that wonderful woman….
…its true! I’m going to be as awesome as her one of these days….
….hopfully :D
Are you the just-married beauty?
Say what…? Alright, newt… enough is enough…! 8-P
Suz, it’s amazing what ya can do with a ‘puter and wifi… albeit, shitty wifi…! *g*
:D Well, you had to rub off on me at some point in my almost 21 years in 12 days :D
*blushing* and remembering when you did not think so highly of me (laughing)
Hey, I’m watching an infomercial for the SwivelSweep G2. They’ve completely overlooked the best selling point, it’s ideal for scoring free snacks in a movie theater.
Get Busy!! Bob can do the scripting, you just type fast!!! *G*
How’s you two doin . . . *waves* *chirps*
oh crap… i haven’t sent off your bday present yet
Okay, since I’m about to make a trip with two delightful toddlers from SantaBarbara to Bozeman…. anyone got tips for flying with strapping twins? I’m thinking bandaids, dried fruit, cheerios and such. Any other ideas for amusing the lapsitters so that we don’t destroy the flight for other full-pays?
No, thats Jen….I’m the single hottie that is only single its going to have be a freaking awesome guy to change that…I don’t need a man…lol
…unlike some people :D (not that Jen “needs a man” I’m just trying to make myself feel better for being single :D)
Mom is pretty cool.
Congratulations, and the best to your friend.
:D I always did…I was just in my rebellious years :D
i would not recommend the method in this song (but it sure is tempting)
Thank you so much!!!
Gotta get on that mother!!! :D :D :D :D
Best wishes to Keesha.
Congrats on having a very cool mom.
you were looking pretty hot in that dress you wore to the wedding. a dress!
i see you also take after my nagging side of the family
Bob’s in his jammies and tucked in for the night. That’s why he has the brains in our dyad.
Yay… Swirling bagpipes…! Or is it skirling…? A must in Nova Scotia…! ;-)
***drum roll***
in slightly more than 12 hours i will have my but planted in a dental chair and i will be getting teeth
Ya, my mom like I said is pretty flippin awesome….(said with a drawn out sigh)
And thanks so much for your warm thoughts for Keesh, It’s truely a miracle she is just breathing!!
Squirreling.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(yay) and yes I do talk after the nagging side….I could be worse I could have taken after my father :D
Righteous…! New chompers…! 8-)
you talk after the nagging? hehehehehe (yanking chain)
Decent is the problem for babies on planes in my experience. The ear pain for them. Maybe just pacifiers?
I would just like everyone to know that it is currenly -8 degrees here in Greeley, CO….does anyone else think this is just a cruel punishment from big guns upstairs?!?!
dr t is gonna pull the remaining 5 upper teeth and then dr a is gonna fit the upper plate
Mother, I love you :D
I hope it goes splendidly. Are you sticking with the Barnabas Collins set?
Cherry coke and a lil vodka!!!
just keep telling yourself that you chose to be there in spite of the weather
love you too sweetie
ACCH. Don’t worry about being single. It’s best. First you have to have a really crappy marriage to realize it, though. Take care of your own future!
thanks rat — sorry not getting the dark shadows reference (that is the show barnabas was on right?)
Mother, where would I be in life without you telling me all the things I already know in life? :D
Pour me
onea couple…somewhere quieter?
Its just kinda depressing seeing all my friends (my age) already married and having kids…I honestly didn’t think this day would happen….crazy
I didn’t have to get married, only needed a really bad relationship to learn there’s lot’s worse things than being single.
Congratulations! Make the dentist make them absolutely comfortable. Go eat a steak, and if it’s bothering you, make the dentist adjust it. Don’t pay all in advance.
G’night pups!!! (wow I sound like my mother yet again!)
g’nite stephanie — love love
Just an observation…
Hang back a bit. You will not regret it.
nite charlile
Speaking of marriage-I divorced for money. Hahaha.
Thanks ma (checks blushing)
dr a is a perfectionist on fit. i had 3 or 4 fittings for tweaking the molds etc
hahahahahaha the govt made you divorce for money
Speaking of advice. Anybody here successfully wear rimless bifocals with progressive lenses? For reasons that *totally* elude me, I bought a pair — I’m not adapting well.
You are adorable…..my own girls are your peers. Life is good.
We have a govt?
Suz and her dental team rehearsing for tomorrow.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQr6PJkx3E0
Yeah, just a superfluous vampire reference. You should probably go with something more conventional.
i had regular bifocals and hated them. i ended up getting a pair for reading and a pair for distance (driving and reading street addresses at night)
g’nite
I love being single. You too, ratfood?
THEY ARE GETTING OUT OF THE RAIN…THEY WILL LEAVE WHEN IT IS DRY
Suz, you are going to be one happy girl tomorrow night!
Just a late drive by, but wanted to say thank you for the song, Suzanne. I’ve done Best Little Whorehouse in Texas three times now at local theatres with Mr. Votus, and it is a fun show. ( He music directed and played the governor once.) I played Doatsey Mae, and she has a wonderful solo, but that part never made it into the movie. She has a couple of good comic scenes with the Sheriff, which were a blast. It’s a large cast show, so we ended up playing multiple roles–I was one of the Melvin P. Thorpe singers, and I played a random whore when one was needed for a minor dance scene.
*light bulb illuminating* hahahahahaha i had fangs before i got braces as a kid.
You guys are the exception!
lady gaga!
hey bb — how’s the bay tonight?
i’m going to be heavily medicated is my guess :)
Yes. I sort of thought either the rain or the cold.
How are you tonight bigb?
hey votus — nice to see your fonts again. i’ve always liked this movie even if it did have burt reynolds in it
You’ve got one of the coolest moms on this planet or any other. Can’t wait until she comes to visit us in Alaska!
I tried that route too. Could not ever adjust and felt like I was going to fall off every curb or step. Finally had to give up the fight and buy distance glasses apart from the reading glasses.
I’ve had mine for almost two years. I’m not crazy about them. After being a bookworm most of my life I had stopped reading for pleasure. I was hoping the new specs would remedy that but only about the bottom 8th of the lenses bring text into focus when I’m holding a book. Slightest move and it’s out of focus again. Very annoying.
getting my teeth is the first step on the journey that lets me travel et — am looking forward to coming up to see you and being able to smile and enjoy myself.
That must be really frustrating. Can you do recorded books? How do you read the computer?
What fun! Good for you and the mr.
Suz, way too kewl and mushy wet eyes watching you and yours blog it tonight . . . . best wishes for her friend in need, too.
And congrats and best wishes to you tomorrow, drive safe to and fro.
Niters Pups, one and all . . . be warm, be well, be happy as ya can be.
When the time comes, you need to be here to cuff the crazy woman.
Seems like in most relationships one partner is typically dominant, sets the agenda, etc.. I have no desire to dominate OR be dominated. Anyhow, I’m so set in my ways now it’s hard to imagine successfully meshing my life with that of another person.
thanks larue — g’nite
Goodnite Peeps. Take care. I loves ya all.
naw i just wanna watch her do the perp walk
g’nite mary mcc
Here’s to NDFG fighting her serious eye problems.
Hi Mary lawyer said free work for my non profit if I get 501c3 tax exempt status…checked my status dug out my articles, by laws etc…have ton of paper work and decisions. I want to but status is pending some reports I am behind I hope! Am good. Cold and wet out cozy in. My worms in the compost bin may not be so happy it froze nite before now they got wet before I covered them.
Does that make me a worm in the next life? Shit karma is such a bummer.
I haven’t tried recorded books. Computer isn’t a problem, I just keep the text display set at a comfortable size. Wouldn’t mind trying an e-reader once they get better and cheaper.
We have a govt?
Not ‘We the Peons… err…People’…! Corporations are the Govt…!
yup — i learned that i live very well solo — 2 marriages and 2 divorces taught me that.
g’nite mary
g’nite Larue
*hands on monitor for ndfg* here’s to her continued healing
Aloha Dood…! And I’d like to echo your sentiments…! Best of luck, Suz…!
I know what you mean. My friends have finally stopped trying to set me up. I did meet a wonderful man last year in Panama…but it turned out he was married. I give up.
is why i now say i used to be a practicing heterosexual but now i am just a consultant…
You two…! There’s always hope in dope(s)…! *g*
I don’t rule out the possibility of meeting someone compatible, it just seems unlikely… especially with me being a hermit. Anyway I’ve learned that people who make their happiness contingent on things they lack end up never being happy. I’d rather be happy in the present.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzViV6PUOSM
But with our consultations, life would end! I know there are so many wonderful marriages out there…my dad and my brother are both examples.
Friends? Can’t think of one who would remarry if their husband died.
i’m not closed to the idea but am not actively looking. and being a semi hermit myself…
love chicago — thanks emerson
i think there are more of us who are solos as we age than we think.
Hmmm… the better half has said the same thing…! I’m not sure if that’s necessarily a good thing…?!! ;-)
Sensing a theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMdG1Q7sSO0
I know you’re pulling my leg, your dad and brother are NOT married. :-)
always been single. It seems to suit me best, as yet.
i think it comes down to folks who are happier with and those who are happier without. i’ve known both types and as long as they are not married to each other….
Heh, sage advice…! Lest the twixt twine…! ;-)
learned that one the hard way — my second ex is a must be in a relationship kinda person. and i learned that i wasn’t.
Today I got the reading glasses, big ones. And they are sturdy enough to take to bed with a book.
Slugs in the house!?! Daymn! They ain’t satisfied with eating up everything in sight outside?
How ya been keepin’, girl?
You’re right. I’ve had long relationships (5-7 years) but never looked back and did the “should have” game.
Nevertheless
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-vyRXEx6DA
hey waccamaw — they slide in under the door where they meet the salt grains of sharp death. i’m doing ok — tomorrow’s a big day
sturdy plastic ones are what my readers are. they have taken quite a few drops and are still going strong.
Some people are completely defined by their relationship and unravel when they find themselves alone.
On a brighter note, I’ll keep sending good thoughts your way. I’m sure your trip to the dentist will go splendidly.
G’nite all.
oh geez.. make me feel like a 13/14 year old again..
g’nite rat and thank you
How old are you (ish) if you don’t mind me asking?
Heh… The ‘History of the Tuttles… err… Turtles’… Btw, don’t think I haven’t heard that one before…! *sigh*
It’s all on the “smile” theme for tomorrow. *s*
Aloha rf…!
Good for you, Sunny!
aw thanks emerson *smooches*
Not at all-55. Only considered marriage twice, but not too seriously.
Thanks. Should have consulted the pups before I made what’s shaping up to be an expensive mistake. I am tripping on steps and not comfortable driving —– and these suckers are fragile.
I think it’s gonna go great for you Suz! We’ve been talking about the new set for a long time and this time tomorrow-You’ll have done it! That’s a party!
Good for you. I know that marriage can be really good, but once one is truly independent (by necessity or choice) it becomes a source of pride.
Some people say to just keep trying and you’ll get used to it. Can you give it a longer try???
I gave up, but maybe it can still work with practice.
I stuck around to learn emerson’s age (dang, that’s OLD “g”).
Give the glasses a fair trial. It didn’t take long for me to get used to looking through the top half for things that don’t require greater magnification. My only complaint is that they didn’t help with reading as much as I would like.
Sometimes they can be adjusted to rest on your nose better if you keep finding yourself looking through the lower portion of the lens at the wrong times.
Thanks. My parents and my sisters all have great marriages, but I’ve never felt like I’ve missed anything. I met a fortune teller in my mid-20′s who told me I could get married, but I was more of a “singular entity.” She had it right, I guess.
The wifey is dressed for bed and cooing sweet nothings…! ;-) I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu…! Aloha Oe…! *g*
Hey, Sunny! (if you’re still about) -
It isn’t much consolation but be glad they aren’t tri-focs. Depending on current frame styles, it can be really hard to get more than a sliver of one focus in the lense. I considered the progressives but decided with my level of mental rigidity, there needed to be a good solid demarcation line from one to the other. *G* At least that way, it either *is* or *isn’t* in focus.
LMAO!! It doesn’t even sound right when I say it!! The only good news is I might be pseudo-covered under the new pseudo-health give-away/
Read about your new chompers…..best of luck today (it is now). Delighted to hear your dentist is a fit freak…bodes well for you.
g’nite ct
time for me to head off. thanks for the good wishes for tomorrow and all the conversations and music tonight.
g’nite all
That’s the trouble. Our perception of time speeds up so much by the time we get used to being our current age we’ve had another birthday, or two or three…
Hey Suz, your Tuesday LLN nearly broke the posting record-344. I think the record was 370, right?
Nite Suz and all, (for real this time).
I had two this week. *g*
G’nite Suz and best of luck tomorrow on your special day!!
Friend Rat -
Long time no talk. Have just this fall met an older woman (via joining the local garden club) whose husband apparently died within the last year. The times I’ve been around her she always seems to make some comment about his absence……apparently it’s something other members of the organization have also noted to themselves. Have been divorced for decades now and it’s hard to imagine how difficult that must be for someone whose life has been wrapped up with another’s for many years.
I’m really sorry you’re having that problem. I always have at least one book going.
That’s why I broke down and got the readers – just not enough magnification real estate on the lens. Fortunately, I had a good old pair of sunglasses I’m fond of and they were able to use the frames.
My glasses guy says the lens mfg will (without charge) put a horizontal line on the progressive lenses that may assist me. Dunno exactly what that’s about, but at this point I’ve little to lose. Appears the progressives will end up in a drawer as back ups.
The whole glasses thing has gotten so bloody expensive! By the time you have an exam to be sure the eyes haven’t changed enough: add on top of that cost of frames; add on top of that multi-focus lense… you’re out big bucks!
At least with glasses you *can* get new ones. Had cataract surgery on both eyes in early 2000 and one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my entire life was letting the doctor give me the same implanted lense that “most older people” have. ie. can’t see up close but can see far away. Spit! The total opposite of what I’d lived with my entire life…..it’s almost ten years later and I still HATE it! Double spit!
Hey Waccamaw!
At least that way, it either *is* or *isn’t* in focus.
That is clarity and there is much to be said for it *g*
Hope you’re staying warm… brrr.
Just saw these guys on Conan. I like ‘em.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EcX4OtLWVs
Have a great night, firedogs!
Sorry, Suzanne, I don’t mean to crash a private party. I know I sound like the sober toit at a drunken bash, but I’d like to respond to Dolly Parton: I lost my Little Bitty Pretty One in 1998, and to this day if you really need to beat me on a pool table, all you have to do is drop a quarter in the jukebok and play, “I will always love you.” I can’t win when I can’t see.
If she gets out her guitar and sits on a stool, she can play my heartstrings, and I hate country/western. I don’t even like the way she looks, but that voice goes thru me like a hot rod.
Suzanne has chosen sleep by now.
But as for the private party – all are welcome, RaggMopp.
That’s awful. Difficult to make a decision you’ve not fully anticipated, particularly when it’s irrevocable.
So long as I can read street signs and drive safely, my distance vision isn’t really a biggie. But anything that interferes with reading or the computer is another matter entirely.
Now that I’m probably throwing in the towel on the bifocals, I’ll have to just let go of what I invested in the venture. No idea why I made the decision — I’ve always worn tortoise or black nonprescription readers and frames suit me fine
At least I won’t have to think Palin every time I look at the rimless glasses. What was I thinking ! *g*
