What kind of non-patriotic thuggery are you up to now, Republican Chip Pickering?
Former Congressman (and C Streeter) Chip Pickering is reportedly under police investigation for his involvement in a brawl with a rival youth league soccer coach…
Pickering and coach Christopher Hester came to blows when Pickering confronted Hester over the treatment of Pickering’s son.
The kicker? Hester claims he was wearing a neck brace at the time of the incident.
Beating a guy in a neck-brace, classy all-around.
But Chip has been “Forever blowing more than Bubbles,” as his former mistress could attest.
I have a feeling that in the last year his estranged wife could tell you Chip’s been “walking very much alone” and has been quite the metaphorical Thierry Henry.

Those guys on C Street have a lion in the basement, right?
Is he a former C-Streeter now that he’s not a congressman? Wonder if they recognize “fall from power” as being more significant then “fall from grace”.
Oh well, there’s probably a fresh face waiting in the C Street eager to take Chip’s place.
The “bully” is as American as apple pie.
Republican physical violence, it’s a feature!
Festooned with green balloons.
Shooting his friends in the face is next on the scenario, no doubt.
The whole C St./ Family cabal is actually frightening. These are people that truly believe they are privaliged and selected by god to lead us to a land run by the god through them. Not just the U.S. These sociopaths are after the entire world. Very scary.
Perhaps even more frightening is the fact that they are afforded legitimacy by the press and given unquestioned privacy. The fact that they have pimped a law that would execute homosexuals in Uganda should be all We The People need to know about these gangsters.
Shut them down. For good.
Thanks Attaturk. The more light shown on these maggots the better.
Good morning all.
Good morning, pups. It’s Bobo, Cohen and Herbert today. In “An Innovation Agenda” Bobo says that President Obama’s National Economic Council has outlined a straightforward way to revive innovation without the government controlling it. Mr. Cohen, in “Afghanistan on Main Street,” says President Obama acknowledged the risks that America faces with the twin burdens of being buried in debt and being the global security underwriter in Afghanistan. Mr. Herbert addresses “A Fearful Price,” and says the idea that fewer than 1 percent of Americans are being called on to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq is obscene, and all decent people should object.
Here they are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got a selection of bagels with cream cheese. As much as it pains me to admit it I will confess that I’m stealing a phrase from Bobo’s column this morning. He referred to “our binges of national stupidity,” and I can’t think of a better way to describe Republican administrations. Thanks, Bobo! Have a great day.
But, but… he’s got moral valyews and famly valyews.
Wish I knew more abut Senator Brownback and C street.
If they were sincere, they would rapture and be done with it. Hopefully.
Morning all.
With the anti gay legislation in Uganda and etc C Street should be investigated as a world wide terrorism organization.
6 degrees F and snowing. 90% chance of snow today, predicted high 11.
Read The Family by Jeff Sharlet. It will curl your hair.
C-Street should just become a verb, as in…
“No doubt Chippy was so concerned about his son when starting that fight, just as he was so concerned about his children as he was C-Streeting someone other than their mommy. What a good Christian dad he is!”
Man, they’re right…the Lord does work in mysterious ways.
They should really change their name from C Street to M Street, because they have a lot less to do with Christ than they do with Megalomania and Mammon.
At’s doubly unusual right there – a straight republiKKKan married male having sex with a woman AND having the balls to hit another man, albeit a disabled one. When’d he stop having sex with men?
Bet Elizabeth Lambert woulda kicked his tiny balls right through the top of his head.
Amen! (said tongue in cheek). I have personal family members involved in this insidious group, and I have attended some of their so-called “Christian businessmen” conference dinners. It was sobering, sickening and frightening to see how open they are about their self-righteousness, their absolute belief that “god” is working through them alone, and that they have a “god-given” mandate to go out there and take over the world in the name of “god.”
A lot of people invovled in tentacles of the “C Street Family” are reasonably good folks, who have been utterly brainwashed and misled. They *think* they are doing the “lord’s work,” but they are being misled into being bullies “for Christ.”
I won’t go on, but the “C Street gang” really does believe that their is one law for them, and something completely different for the rest of us. I have no idea how much the “C Streeters” actually truly “believe” this b.s., or if they are just totally cynical manipulators. Certainly they lie and are engaged in loads of really venal stuff.
Read Jeff Sharlet’s book – it’s readily available in bookstores and online and at your library.
I’ve read Sharlet’s book and was stunned by it. The C-streeter Family is a Christianist narcissism cult whose principal tenet appears to be: We have been specially chosen by God; therefore, we are not bound by the same laws and morality as all you worthless lumps of horse manure out there.
Let’s see now . . . Ensign, Sandford, Pickering (was/is Vittner one of them, too?) . . . makes one wonder who else is a member of that cabal.
Pickering seems to have a lot of violence problems at participatory sporting events. At the Congressional Baseball Game he lost control of an aluminum bat while taking PRACTICE swings in the on-deck circle. It flew out of his hands and struck a young spectator in the crowd. The chances of this happening with anyone familiar with a baseball bat is about ZERO.
With the victim bleeding profusely Pickering simply ignored the incident. H didn’t speak to the victim, show sympathy, offer his assistance, or find out his name to visit the hospital afterwards.
In this incident he had to seek out and follow the opposing coach to his car after the game. The car was already filled with 10 year old kids ready to be driven home. If one has issues with a coaches behavior one takes it first to one’s own teams coach, then to the referee (who handles such issues on the field and can discipline a coach for unethical acts), and then to the League Reps. One doesn’t scream at a coach after the game.
Also it seems very unlikely that anyone recovering from surgery in a neck brace with a gaggle of kids and have no clue about what the screaming was about would be “fired up” to start a fight. It’s clear that Hester was IN his car and ready to leave. It was Pickering that was heated and angry. He likely would not have liked Hester simply leaving…so opening the door, pulling Hester out and striking him is by far the more logical scenario.
I wonder what Pickering’s EX thinks about the care of her children in her Ex-Husbands charge. I think his behavior would raise custodial issues…both in terms of his child’s safety, but also in terms of “modeling”. If Dad is acting like an a**hole she might want to reconsider allowing him to have unsupervised visitation rights. If he’s defending his son’s play that may have been overly aggressive towards another child (the only thing I can see an opposing coach making a statement about without receiving a “red card” from the referee) she might have to have a long talk with those kids about “consequences” for aggressive play.
Inhofe, Brownbeck, Bart Stupack to name just a few names. Many others, and not just Republics, either, as is evidenced by Stupack’s name here. Allegedly Hillary Clinton is also in league with this gang, which gives me pause.
Typical right-wing nutitude, do as I say not as I do. The “c” street family/cult should be fully investigated and tax-exempt status be revoked and past taxes collected.
