Been a while since i dropped by. Mostly i think cause i needed a break for a while. Things are shaping up, i’m just rediculously tired lately. Looking forward to my tuesday and wednesday off from work.

their pbs special was on my local station last nite as part of their fundraising drive. turns out that 12 days video was what landed them their record contract and the new special.

We’re gearing up for a possible round two of the H1N1 at this point at work. Much less all the holiday stuff that goes on to begin with. I just got some inventory work done this weekend so i don’t have to worry about it until january. Which is of course, why my back is killing me, and my fingers griping on top of it.

I really need to find a tai chi master again, i hate feeling this out of shape.

Yeah. H1N1 has been going around year long, it never really let up. Mostly a precautionate thing, i think. If we’re lucky it’ll keep decreasing (and i hope it does), and not decide to go on a foray into my state again.

yeah Elliott, i know. It was dumb luck in the first place that made me land this job almost 6 years ago. Now i’m glad i did, and i enjoy the challenges. Payrate still sucks, but its far better than nothing. This is one of the few industries where there’s constant need. Not necessarily recession proof, but damned close.

It is raining now. Weather. We are having weather in California. Often we just have temperature. Tonight we are having weather.

Getting colder in Ohio, 20s at night and 30s in the day. I do remember a time when it had been way below zero for a bit and got up to 20, and i had to roll the window down while driving.

It was really nice. It was the first time I actually got to stay there. All the other times were just work. When you buy a condo in Panama, you get bare bones. No appliances, no airco, no water heater…not even any lighting.

So the last few trips, it’s just been taking care of business. It’s furnished and decorated now. Hopefully it will be rented out soon.

Loo Hoo, I’ve been thinking about you since I saw a program recently on people who move to Mexico to live, and enroll in their medical insurance plan (single payer). This one woman said she paid $330 a year, that’s it, no mas. Sounds interesting.

I wouldn’t give Shanahan the top job, but I would back up a Brinks truck to get him to reinstate the Walsh Offense. He already had Rathman as backs coach.

OMG! I heard that on PBS yesterday too. We need to remember, though, that while Panama and Mexico both have doctors from Harvard and other US schools, the general infrastructure is nowhere near what we enjoy. (although Panama City is far ahead of most parts of Mexico, and most parts of Panama)

If you were to call 911 in either country, response would be way behind what we expect in the USA. (Although Panamanians and Mexicans both are very warm and helpful people.)

My baby girl ran the Santa Barbara Marathon this a.m. while I did grandmommy duties so her husband could watch her finish. The boys were little pissers….just saying. Little twins of about 1+years old are just hysterically funny as they come into their own. When their mommy got home they were just cling-ons!

Sounds like you were expecting the Niners to be a playoff team after the 18-37 Nolan left. Hell, Walsh came in after 8-6, 5-9, 2-14 seasons, went 2-14 and 6-10 himself before they pulled out the ’81 season’s 13-3 and a title. We’re talking about Bill Walsh, and he took 3 years to get them into the post.

the good news in that forecast tho was the predicted possible precipitation has been pushed back from thur/fri to sat/sun. i sure hope it doesn’t snow or ice up friday when i go into town to get my teeth.
