Hey Eureka!
Poodles of the worlds unite!
You are up late!
I R
Consequence of afternoon nap :)
Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings – tres cool. Very nice horns.
Fun dreams tho, I had a tiger who hung out in the bathtub.
Amazes me how fresh the music is from ES
Did you stuff yourself yesterday, newt?
Agreed. I have a bit of patience, but searching out these beauties is hard work.
Yes, and today I did the soup part. And it was a success. And I need another nap.
oh my father was a turkey soup maestro.
i think it got to the point he was more interested in makin’ the soup than he was in carvin’ the turkey — and man was he the turkey carver~
Hello Newt and Eureka see you been all over the lake. How is it going tonight? Seasons Greetings to everyone.
Up at 5am got a HP pavilion and spent most of today learning Microsoft 7office home and student 2007 and running this laptop at home and at coffee shops. You can use it on three computers! Nice. Got in a third of a row.
Not being the master carver…
But the soup is a labor of love. Lots of knife work, and the house smell like Heaven.
Same to you BB
Don’t forget the turkey pie.
awesome. While I love to get the new computer, I hatez to loose what I got goin’ on on the old one.
hey loo hoo
expand on that pie thing please
Good night all, “I’m not gonna cry” :)
Good evening everyone, just got home.. fixing a late supper… back in a bit.
Poodles!
nite elliott
hi pups and good nite elliott.
Chalk it it to learning…exercising the brain…expanding your world…non attachment…moving on…being incompetent once again….lot of new programs to learn new mobility. And there was a whole blog today about what an asshole I was for taking part in Black Friday. All in all a very interesting two days with the torrent of pet love to boot. I made chili and black bean soup with left over Quinoa soup. What can I say livin high off of the can. This is one slick keyboard.
Wonderful Thanksgiving! Hiya all — big kids in from New York, great meal with friends, work today with crazy amount of museum visitors. I ended up taking visitors over to galleries, they being lost in the building consruction.
Wow, what a thoughtful post by Gregg this evening.. sorry i missed that thread.
But I’m not gonna cry either… night miss Elliott.
Hey Chris! Sounds like a nice day.
I tried (and failed) to see some football…
Jeez, what happened to my life?!?
I even missed the Macy’s Parade while baking pies and mashing potatoes. But loved, loved the turkey and the company. We were all in our bed doing the crossword puzzle until 11:30!
LOL!
At 1130pm, I was making stock.
Oh, that sounded funny — it was the reverse: 11:30 a.m. for the crossword. Dinner at friend’s house at 3:00 p.m. We were home by 8:00 — had a fire in the living room fireplace, more pie and sleepy time by the time you were making stock.
Wait… On Black Friday™, you had a rush of museum guests? How cool!
I live in the wrong state.
There were not hundreds, but thousands. It is always the most visited day of the year. And we have a huge Gauguin exhibition on.
Well good for you and your visitors.
For cultural satisfaction on Thanksgiving weekend, we have… the boat show.
I can relate — in Lewes, DE, my home state, we had the Christmas parade with the Firehouse and local pumpkin’ chunkin’. I miss Delaware, really!
On an AR Blog today folks were in a tizzy because Tiger (or anyone) would be out driving at 2:30 a.m.
When I lived in town I thought it was a great time to grocery shop.
Taking stock of my life..oh well forget that. But the amino acid combinations from whole grains and legumes is for sure pretty nourishing. Not to shabby put the bean soup on the bread covered with Strauss yogurt. yum.
Decades ago, when we lived in Delaware we had 24 hour grocery shopping. It was great!
I’ll bet your attention meant a lot to the visitors. A charming man at the Royal BC Museum at Victoria chummed up to us outdoors – we were smoking together :(
He generously whisked us in and led us to the places he thought we’d most enjoy. It’s a huge place and the guidance was greatly appreciated – we’d not done our homework in advance. It remains a fond memory.
*scrambling for teh googles*
Aw, thanks, Sunny.
The crowds were overwhelming. I took a group over to the show and new galleries when I came in after lunch, maybe over a dozen. They were so nice.
Wow that must be wonderful… Gauguin
So does George Washington..who was not a big redskins fan. For the Delaware river was a memorable crossing that cold winter’s night.
For cultural satisfaction I live in the middle of a huge light display. Traffic jams and police from now through new years.
The curator and worked, worked so hard on this show. It is about an exhibition, within an exhibition in 1889. We found wonderful things to show, and exhibited CMA prints for the first time. It was a labor of love.
It is raining softly right now. Today while Ron was at the optician in Costco it started to hail. I was in the waiting room. A building inside a building. I heard this far away rumble and thought that is was raining really hard. When we went out into the parking lot it had gotten dark and the ground was covered by inch deep pea sized white pepples. Like snow, only with more tooth. We got on Hwy 50 and went slowly back home. The rain was insane. I was happy we had just gotten the super, duper, extra special windshield wipers the week before. When Ron went into Pepboys to buy the blades the clerk asked him if he wanted the good ones, the better ones or the fantastic ones. Ron said,”Only the best for my baby!”
Right now, this very minute Suki, the dog, is snoring like a bear.
So warm and colorful good ol Gaugain went native in paradise..the great life.
CE, I loved this video and thought about you when I saw it.
BAMBI – PRIMATOLOGY
Bambi, must be a bunch of curator/librarians kids… avoiding their home work assignment…)
Did you know that historians are now saying that it was Gaugain who sliced off Van Gogh’s ear?
Excellent point.
Gaugain/Van Gogh Ear thingie link
Yes, but was it on Black Friday at an art supply store sale?
Hi Mary..)
They were fighting over that last tube of vermillion red that was on sale for 70% off.
Hi ES!
I agree!
No do tell Bambi would be all upset about it.
But what the heck why not it is all so imaginary in the Buddha world of cosmic consciousness. Don’t you think? Mary Mary quite not contrary how does your websites grow?
Vermillion red… well that explains it. Ol’ Monet must have been in the front of the line.
mary, Have you tried Pixelmator?
I need to talk to you about yours. Could you call me tomorrow?
Nope. Is it good? I have been using photoshop for over a decade and am habituated to it.
Good night all — it is now the holiday season and I’ve bought LED lights to display. And I’m planning on buying a Christmas tree today. Yeah! Love it!
Good night Christine.
Museum saved my life..I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Uffizzi Gallery in Florence Italy Bottecelli and Sarah Brighton there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_JLkIOnq04
Some years ago Santa brought me first rate jumper cables. Long and heavy. An excellent gift. If I ever get my (blankity-blank) new car, I’ll look into super-duper wipers. Didn’t know they existed.
Well it’s cheap and the reviews on apple’s page are good, for whatever that’s worth. I would love to be able to afford the real software.
Night Christine
You posted that before. I have it bookmarked. I have probably played it 20 or 30 times. Thanks.
nite chris
Bien Sur mon Ami.
I am off to bed. Good night.
Uffizi sure overwhelmed me… Just sitting outside and absorbing it properly took over a week!
Love in the air vibrating to and from unabashed is so such a high form of art surrounded by some of the most organic art on earth on a warm northern Italian night Andrea and Sarah from the heart inspire me and lift my spirit above the pain that earth is going through and inspite of.
nite all. Thanks ES.
Love is all there is. Like some John Lenon line. remember the Mercury statue Medusa’s head on one side and the sword on the other. Across the way the Large David…endless
here are a few Firenzi pics for you.
Nite Sunny.. I’m turning in as well.
Night firedogs.
Actually, I’m learning these past 2 weeks that love IS all there is.
It’s not as banal a statement as I thought it was 2 weeks ago.
Okay, I’m doing a pitch on your thread as well, ES.

Good morning. Anyone up?
Good morning eCAHN. Up? yep but battening down the hatches with 35 mph winds howling in from the north. It is high tide and the waves are crashing….lots of fun. We are toasty with the woodstove and pretty soon the house will smell of baking bread. Not so bad all in all. How are you doing?
Very windy in the mid-Hudson too. Besides the wood stove, have a fire in the parlor where I’m reading. Still fighting a cold, so intend to stay inside read all day. Baking something sounds like a good idea. I don’t do bread (at least not yet), so maybe something sweet.
Good morning, pups. Ms. Collins and Mr. Blow are off today, so Bob Herbert goes solo. In “Stacking the Deck Against Kids” he says the American economy is broken, economic woes are exacting a fierce toll on family life, and children are deeply affected. We must work harder to give our children the society they deserve.
Here he is.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got some banana pancakes this morning. It’s not quite the classic definition of eternity — one ham and two people — but one turkey and 2 people comes close! Have a great day.
Muffins in the morning are quick and easy and always smell delicious. My bread is on it’s second rising and only a half an hour away from the oven.
Good morning Marion. We (two) decided on duck breasts this thanksgiving to avoid having never ending leftovers it was a delicious meal with all veggies harvested from our garden on thanksgiving morning. It is a tradition we keep up, doing our final, final harvest on thanksgiving. This year Brussell sprouts, carrots, onions, celery (cream of Celery soup) and various herbs. We did not grow the figs we had with the duck.
