hey eureka
Grizzly Bear reminds me of how my friends described window pane.
Good evening newtonusr..)
Grizzly Bear is a lotta fun
Queuing up The Duke and The King now, can’t help to have a Gladys introduction
emo clay, Euro-clay..
that’s some wacked-out sh*t!
Howdy Eureka, cool tunes as usual :-)
Hey peeps!!!
Yeah… must have had some strong brownies and a lot of spare time…)
The whole album is great. I love how a new video from it pops up nearly every month or so.
I cannot think about that.
LL mm, EE…)
It’s amazing what he comes up with, isn’t it?
I’m dazed and amazed how current his videos are.
I found a special Christmas video for punaise today.. but he has to wait until after Solstice to see it. *s*
intriguing…
Cuba Libres all around!
Did you see MM’s new blog?
is there such thing as a great album anymore? seems like a half-dozen good songs is all one can hope for before the filler kicks in.
I remember window pane, and it was NEVER like that.
And I’d describe it, but I’m not into 2 day nightmares, anymore.
*G*
LOL
I can only imagine, was not a dropper.
mMmm brownies
*sigh*
No I didn’t… thanks for telling us.
Same. My deadhead friends were not afraid of crossing state lines, and they have the nightmares to prove it.
Hey ES, I enjoyed your pic of Louiza from last night’s thread. My Suze sends her best regards.
Since I started doing LLN.. I rarely have the time to listen to a whole album.
I miss that a little. I also miss just music without video.
I wonder how much longer a full album format will last in this environment?
I so admire him, what a good soul.
beautiful, LL.. just beautiful.
How have you been?
oh my! What a beauty!
yikes!
I can’t remember which station in the BA – it may have been KSAN, but I am not sure – would go off-format regularly and do album sides, and occasionally entire vinyl experiences. Late 70’s I believe.
Nothing like that in a good long while.
Doing fine here ES, and thanks — hope you’re doing well too! Glad you liked Suze’s pic. Thank you too Ellie! She really is a treasure.
I thought he had been a bit quiet lately.. When folks start a blog that usually happens. (bustednuckles comes to mind).
Grizzly Bear vid brings Klimt to (my) mind.
What a nice kittah.
Gustave?
Give us a Kiss.
Thanks Mary, I’ll tell her you said so *g*
We might get a few flurries tonight… which means no meteor shower for me.
Doing well, LL. Life is good.
It does!
oh my stars, he [Busted] is a scream.
I sometimes imagine sitting ’round a campfire listenin’ to his tales.
Gotta run, busy day coming up — thank you ES, and g’night everyone!
no kidding! scrappy wanderer Louis wouldn’t know what do do in such classy company.
A full album environment in itself is beyond the happen stances of digital revolutions at hand.
How long a full album will last is irrelevant.
There’s live shows posted thru phone cam’s and their links, to youtube.
There’s tapers who still frequent and cop shows on the sly. And post them to peer to peer sites, vid and audio both.
There’s bands who ALLOW the recording of vid and audio, of their shows. For uploads to peer to peer sites, and onto youtube.
The mediums have FAR outgrown the messages.
*G*
Hell, the mediums have far outgrown themselves.
Freebies abound, from FB to MySpace, to peer to peer sharing.
The album concept is already history, I guess.
‘Spose, yer right! *G*
We are enjoying our new kitty, Tucker. But today we saw six coyotes in the greenbelt behind our house. Some dimwit neighbor has been feeding them and they are getting brazen as all get out. Some young boy said they chased him on his bike down the pathway just next to our house this afternoon. So Mr. Tucker is inside for the night.
Hi LL!
Love the pic.
You’ve either taken it, and others like it, or not.
Simple.
And sometimes, it wasn’t good.
*G*
heh — I love this pic, Louis looks like he’s loud and proud ;-)
oh LL what a treat that we both were up late at the same time
I sure miss you,
Smooch
Louiza must be Louis distant cousin.
Louis is a big fellow.
Saying hey to Sunny on the way out — and thank you!
Heh in the 60’s and 70’s, KMPX, KSAN, KSJO and even the AM stations went off on AOR.
Album oriented rock.
And yes, they’d track a whole album side.
Often. Common knowledge!
Serendipitous! Miss you too :) Hope you are keeping well.
G’night for realz y’all….
*poof*
lmao
what a face he makes. That cat has an attitude.
I just love that image. Makes me feel all artie ad young.
I may not use it often but I sure treasure my needled turntable.
I live way out in the woods.. have coyotes howling every night. But they have yet to bother a cat. It’s the fox I worry about.
But feeding wild critters like that is just begging for trouble.
they probably both know the secret orange tabby paw-shake.
ZOMG!!
tell me more about Tucker, is he a Tuxedo? — not sure why I’m making that assumption.
coyote in Sequoia National Forest last September.
I love orange tabbies. They are sweet and loyal. Tucker is one. And he is big. My fav kitty of all time was an orange T. His name was Roosevelt.
KOME in the south bay had it’s moments
He is named after the car and is half Maine Coon. He stretched as I was feeding him yesterday and his paws touched the top of the kitchen counter.
Good shot… catching him lying down.
There is still something to be acclaimed for the analog processing that vinyl and the vinyl playback systems offer.
I don’t possess the means for vinyl playback anymore.
Someday, I’d like to digitize my vinyl’s.
But I’m happy with what I DO have, in my digital library, which includes many digitized analog projects from long ago
*G*
I had a KOME bumper sticker on my car, and was told by my high school to remove it if I wanted to park in the school lot.
Cesar (RIP) was that way. Louis is surprisingly aloof for an orange tabby.
Nice hit, Pun, and spot on, one I left out!
Along with KFAT, but that’s another story apart from old rock.
;-)
Course, much later on, KTIM got cred, up in Marin. *G*
Mwah, happy birthday Mary!
fulfillment
Thanks Margot! I had a really nice day. My kids cooked me a big dinner and I ate so much I squealed like a pig when I was done. Here is a picture of my girls.
Lord Amighty
I always wanted a Maine Coon Cat so I actually bought one, first time I ever bought a cat. Drove hours up to North Jersey -in a driving rainstorm- to pick him up.
Obviously I coulda researched better – OK I was duped –
he was the smallest kitteh cat I ever had. Needless to say that wasn’t the plan.
oo I’d love to get my albums on my computer. I don’t claim to be an audiophile, but I do miss the tunes from days gone by.
Once when I lived in PA. my kitty had babies. I advertised them as 100% pure bred Pennsylvania farm cats. They were gone the first day.
Happy Birthday!
Beauties!
Happy Birthday, Margot. I didn’t know. Even if you told me I didn’t know. My brain works better as a sieve.
that’s funny!
yea, huh. Smart, too.
You have beautiful girls.;)
Me too. I have hundreds of live and bootleg shows on tape too. I nearly took them to the dump last week. I don’t even own a tape player anymore.
Wonderful photo Mary.
Happy b-day!
Good lord, I had NO idea it was yer hatchling!
And yer girls, and them guys, are all beautiful.
;-)
oh no, it’s not my birthday.
Well Eureka and Eureka-ites. Good Night, the lot of ya.
Me too, too many cd’s were remastered and lost the licks I recall from yore.
Hence, my search for and love of live shows I can download, recorded from may ways.
From many times.
*G*
Such a happy picture!
Mary is that Ron in the top left of that photo?
Or one of yer girls hubbies?
Either way, someone scored, and did good.
;-)
My best to Ron, and may he pick till cows or cats come home.
I’m into some local jams now, if Ron wants to get out, lemme know.
I owe him a lot for my musical development.
You too, for lettin our kind into yer house to pick with Ron.
*G*
Nite Miss Elliott
Nite Elliot, I’ll be turning in soon too
Louis has an eye for color coordinating his setting. Splendid photo.
I need to go to bed. Wish I could stay up later but I have to finish a big job in the morning. See you all tomorrow! And thanks for the birthday wishes. You guys mean so much too me.
You should call him. He needs to get out.

role-playing: the modest young lady look.

Long afternoon of loading and stacking firewood.
