On AM Joe, Mika is desperately trying to defend her beloved Sarah Palin.

“I’m not on the Atkins Diet, Steve.”

“Don’t you know what a high-protein diet does?” he asked, ignoring what I had just said.
He then launched into a discussion of nutrition physiology, holding forth on the importance of carbohydrates to cognitive connections and blah-blah-blah. As he lectured,

My bold The Trib is a GOP paper. Sarah had a GOPer write her book. None of these guys realized that the words Sarah and Cognitive Connections would be interesting.

Blah-blah=blah Sarah can’t even realize the irony of how her saying that after having her Cognitive Connection problems pointed out to her by a McCain aid would be taken by people especially after her Katie Couric interview.

Before polls closed on Election Day, Mr. Erickson and Mr. DeMint convened a conference call to identify the next conservative battlegrounds, urging thousands of followers to direct the energy and money they had spent in the New York race toward a Rubio victory. The Club for Growth is now backing Mr. Rubio, and produced an anti-Crist ad featuring the hug.

Endorsements from conservative leaders like Mike Huckabee and Dick Armey and glowing coverage from George F. Will and National Review have made Mr. Rubio, 38, the sudden standard bearer for a more conservative Republican Party. In the past few months, he has begun pulling closer to Mr. Crist in polls and fund-raising, collecting nearly $1 million in the last cycle.

Sarah and the Hard Core GOPers put their Cred on the line once why are they risking everything again?

The only way one’s life can be a blend of redemption and revenge is if one is disfunctional. Otherwise, one cannot be both at the same time from a Christian perspective.

I think Going Rouge will have her narrative a bit closer to the reality of the disfunction.

BTW, I still think Dobbs and Palin are going to run together.

Did it have a cigar-like shape or a sorta squared hood? The cigar would have been an “A”, the squared would have been a “TD.” I’ve had both. The wiring harness in my TD caught fire one day sitting in the gas station. That was fun.

More like a rounded cigar as I remember. Kinda loud and smelly and her dad was always working on it, so I can relate to your fire story. Seems like it always needed something. Later I had a boyfriend who had the boxy kind, same deal…always working on it. I had a Karmann Ghia (“common gear” to my Boston friend). One time he changed my oil and it was practically solid. But it always ran.

I had a ’57 Karmann Ghia when stationed on Okinawa in’67-69. My wife would flip to reserve tank at random. I had to keep a stick in the yard to tell how much gas I had. It had about a 4″ diameter clock on the dash (didn’t work) and no fuel guage. I thought it offered some clue on why the Germans lost WWII.

Letting GM disappear is preferable to the sitting president, one who never had shares in the company, personally fire a CEO in the private sector, give the middle finger to bondholders, and ignore precedent to payback the UAW.

I’m not buying anything from Government Motors. Period.

And to the guys that were crucifying GM at the altar for that Who Killed The Electric Car BS and are now “we must save GM for the jobs”, hypocrisy much?
