Morning, back in N.TX and it’s warm and sunny – rained the whole time in D.C.
Chris Matthews trying to get his panel on board to critique Pres. O. for not pushing his own POV on health care and Afghanistan, Noonan having a great time pushing the ‘dithering’ theme.
Noonan, pushing prolife ness, Dems not letting the real folk in.
Eugene Robinson; Ambassador coming out with POV that the present regime isn’t worth our support is ruination for Chrystal demands for more troops to kill off.
Noonan loving the lack of actual decision, ‘ditherer’ especially relished, so she applies it to health care too.
Duffy, FP isn’t where debate should be carried out, Katy likes it for public participation. and for Pres O.
Robinson; not a popular war
All agree that they feel a little confused about where to take out the biggest bite. Okay, that’s my interpretation.
Ending first segment with Tina Fey as Palin on the 2012 campaign trail.
Chris Matthews does Palin;
Eugene Robinson sees Palin as thinking she’s an Evita, thinks she’s got the leading role
Noonan is sure she isn’t that big, the rest wish they were on a topic worth talking about.
Tweety thinks she’s going to be front runner and best seller, sophistication is nothing because she’s got moxy, so Romney is toast. Thinks Iowa is the voice that will decide.
Noonan pushes Pawlenty bio; the others haven’t rolled that rock over yet.
Morning All. Thank you Elliott and Ruth. Snow fall here not equal to forecast yet. Only 5 inches.
Oh Boy, Oh boy, Crazy Pete Hoekstra.
Are you taking a drink every time Nooner sez dither?
Did the snow from your earlier storm melt?
Snow sounds nice, since I got back here dressed for the D.C. weather, had to change to drive home without sweltering.
eCAHNomics, that sounds like a good plan. But it would leave me much too dithered to listen to WashJournal. How’s the new cat?
The one from 2 weeks ago did but not the one from thurs.
Good Morning
Just wanted to say that the C-SPANs BookTV has
Ralph Nader scheduled this morning at the Miami Book Fair.
Sunday Schedule
10:00a – Ralph Nader, “Only the Super Rich Can Save Us”
10:55a – LIVE CALL-IN with Ralph Nader
I love my cat. She’s a real sweetheart. A purry lap cat. She even let me clip her nails without objection.
How many callers are going to ask him if he’s running for prez in 2012?
He is well past his fifteen years of fame.
Good Morning, Black America….”Obama has handled the race issue brilliantly”.
President’s biggest problem in his own party….
Sweeet. My adopted strays are as good as it gets.
I’m so glad I finally decided to get another cat. It’s been over 10 years since the last one died. And the mice must have cat-radar. There hasn’t been a sign of one in the week since the cat arrived.
Matthews…Not going with the full McChrystal plan..
Coffee’s gone and so am I. Be well.
And Elliott, thanks for all your work.
Next site for gay fight = DC
Next site for gay fight = catholic church
am live blogging from panera bread
it’s a miserable sunday morning, overcast, chilly, damp, not a sun in the sky…the clouds are so dense you can’t see a single one of them, heard of so such a dense forest you can’t see the trees?
same thing
I have to work this morning, going to a residence in queens to pick up contract, taking the truck
I am trying to get myself off of coffee and they have green tea here at panera, it’s bottomless, when I’ve had enough I go to their orange mango and that is butter smooth…yum

if you’re a twit too then send me some kind of invite…perrisfiredog
see you there
is there an eta on the book salon?
that’s going to be interesting, it is talking about the defining terms in american politics, I want a double helping of that book salon
Good morning, pups. It’s Friedman, Kristof and Rich today. The Moustache of Wisdom, in “Lost There, Felt Here,” says America should still lead such efforts as saving the rainforests. But China’s days as a global free-rider should be over. Mr. Kristof, in “Triumph of a Dreamer,” says of all the people earning university degrees this year, perhaps the most remarkable story belongs a one-time impoverished cattle-herd from Zimbabwe. Mr. Rich addresses “The Missing Link from Killeen to Kabul,” and says if something has been learned from the massacre at Fort Hood, it’s that our hawks are utterly confused about who it is we’re fighting in Afghanistan.
Here they are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got French toast waffles this morning because I was feeling a bit decadent. It’s shaping up to be an absolutely gorgeous day here, so I’m taking my second cup of tea out to the garden. Have a great day.
great stuff there marion, thanx for the skim through too;
blockquote>China’s days as a global free-rider should be over
yes they should but bush made it impossible to hold them to account since they can hold our economy over our heads
here’s what I believe will be the best method for making a start on issues like this;
we once tariffed entire countries who’s policies we disagreed or who we just didn’t want to compete against
now we should tariff companies instead of policies, if they produce product that is counter productive for healthy labor, envirnment, etc we should tariff that company rather then the country
that takes alot of the politics of “nationalism” out of the equation
How many suns do you have up there?
WHAT, no Lieberman? Where’s my little Joe? (use LSD from The Producers’ voice)
What is “work” Perris? What do you do that takes you out on a Sunday morning?
Gray and drizzling here in NW Indiana, too. Hit 65 yesterday so I got my bike out of “winter storage” and went for a long ride. Every time I put it up for the winter I think it’s the last ride, then along comes another pleasant day. This may be the latest ride I’ve had, tho…
Uh, Book Salon times are fairly standard for the weekends, 5PM Eastern on both Saturday and Sunday unless there is a special occasion or problem, at which it is then announced.
But Elliot also posts the starting time in her note above.
Morning everybody!
Thank goodness for French toast waffles, I’m starvin’
I shouldn’t be surprised Tweety thinks Palin’s the frontrunner for 2012.
*shakes head*
Did he notice her book is discounted to $4.95 all ready?
I’ve got my set-up set up, time for Fox News Sunday here. *hic*
I’m so not ready for snow.
Did he notice her book is discounted to $4.95 all ready?
His free edition wasn’t marked down, no doubt. A few weeks ago, it was Mitt. Musta gotten a snub.
Mitt doesn’t do anything to his leg.
Is that the new secret handshake?
Betcha Mitt’d bite it, if crossed.
Why is everyone making fun of me? Is it because I’ve been gone from the Lake for such a long time???

(hope that works)
Surprise, Rudy Giuliani and Bill Kristol all aflutter about the KSM trial in NYC,
and Baby Dick “absolutely unconscionable” and while the troops aren’t being funded in Afghanistan!
http://chrismatthewsleg.wordpress.com/about/
Not so secret.
Work on the wink.
Gotcha. Still working on how to recognize the symptoms.
Hey noonan! Thought maybe your tomatoes went Seymour on you
when he starts to spittle…
No, worse than that. My wife left me, so I’ve been dealing with that for the past few months. Doing better now.
Kristol can’t help the giggling when he talks about torture, must be afraid some one figured out he lurvz it, for other folks.
oh my goodness (((noonan)))
I’m so sorry.
Oh, man, that’s too bad. I thought we were all supposed to stick together during rough times. Keep breathing, pal.
((noonan))
PS, I wish I would have had FDL back when I went through the big break up.
We’re here for ya.
Geez I shouldn’t have used coffee for this drinking game, my hands are shaking and I had to type this six times.
Damn now I gotta use the john!
LOL!
We’re friendly, she says she just doesn’t love me anymore. But I missed all of you here, so I’m glad to be back and getting active again.
You must be a very nice person. When someone tells me they don’t love me anymore, I have a hard time being friendly. Unless it’s mutual.
Oh eCAHN ~ that is a winning kitty you have there … and allows nail-clipping too! I am jealous.
Hang in there/here noonan.
Dropped by to drop a viewing tip … sorry to change the subjects to something even more harsh than love lost.
You all will probably want to check out Fareed Zakaria (repeated later on CNN I think) today. He has clips from his upcoming HBO special on Mumbai. Including tapes of calls between the terrorists and their HANDLERS while terrorists are killing and dying. Very strong stuff. And there is more: young men (boys?) are being SOLD into terrorism like girls are sold into prostitution (that is a connection I am making, Fareed did not say that). Turns out there is quite a business model operating with these terrorists …
We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread … :-)
Handlers? Where did Zakaria get the audio recordings? How long after the event were the recordings available, or were people listening on that day at that time and couldn’t use the audio?
Fascinating.
