The recurring theme is that the US invades other countries in search of their goods and markets through the use of force, indebtedness, unfair trade practices, political destabalization or whatever other means it can devise.

You have seen this in every corner of the world, in Latin America, Africa, Near east and far east. Of course this will piss those people off especially when brute force and devastation is used against them.

Here’s a novel thought, why not just leave those people the fuck alone and maybe then you will not expose the country to their reprisal. The American public like innocent saps end up paying for the ill will caused by the profiteers and instigators of foreign hostility against us.

If you want other peoples’ goods then pay for them at free market value that you are forever talking about. And maybe then you will not expose the country to this never ending threat of revenge from “radical jihadists” or anybody else.

But Petraeus makes the same mistake you people make. You think terrorists live by the golden rule. If we start treating them nicely once we capture them…you know, the VIP. mink lined cell treatment…they will respond by thinking we aren’t all that bad after all.
In truth the true terrorists hate us. If we are bad to them, they hate us. If we are nice to them, they hate us.
If we try some of those “enhanced techniques” at least we’ve got a shot at getting some important info and saving some innocent lives.
That’s a lot better than “aiding and abetting.”

Sending Gitmo prisoners to Illinois…if it is anywhere close to Chicago would constitute cruel treatment that even I could not condone.

The local residents of this IL town welcome the opportunity as a way to help their economy. And when was the last time you hear of someone escaping from a maximum security pen?
