Barcelona – Please Don’t Go. Video of the Kuroshio Sea Tank at the Churaumi Aquarium, Okinawa, Japan by Jon Rawlinson.
The main tank at the Aquarium is called the Kuroshio Sea and holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water. Oh, I can’t believe I missed this in Barcelona!
this video is one to watch in full screen. magnificent eye candy to go with the music.
the musical group is called barcelona — the aquarium is in japan
ooof, thanks!
when i first saw the video i thought the same thing. then i read the description on the utube page (part of which i quoted up top).
it is truly magnificent. i’m gonna have to add that to my must see list.
ooh nice, thanks Suz
Stunningly beautiful! You can’t hit any more of my senses than this video/music ballet, Suz.
thanks margot
cujo first posted it over at cujo’s place.
Really nice! I’ve gotta see Japan some day.
Totally grabbed my inner Pisces – ahhh…. solace.
me too. i remember my dad’s navy trips back and forth to japan and all the goodies he brought home after 9 months or so away. he was primarily stationed on the west coast
hey kelly — isn’t it wonderful. i thought it was so relaxing.
i went back to the dentist yesterday and he made more molds of my upper (and a lower this time). i go back again next week. this weeks mold was plastic-y instead of the rubber-y of last weeks. he had made some blue retainer base thing from the first mold and that was part of the new mold. i guess he gets finer detail with the second.
have no idea what he has planned for next week but i am glad that no sharp metal objects have been involved lately.
the lower is to make sure he gets the bite right on the upper.
hiya Suz
hey ppd — how’s the south south bay tonight?
Bet it’s a lot different now. I imagine it being like living in a video game for some reason!
I’ve actually seen it …. I think. Trip was kind of a blur, but I remember tons of kids.
very well, thanks — here’s a link to some live cams at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Viewing is better during daylight hours, of course.

i’m not really interested in the big cities. i wanna visit an old tea house outside of the city, stay at an old inn and take in japan at a slow pace.
tokyo would be way too fast paced for me
hey sunny — how cool!
i regret not getting to see that while i was down there. something always came up and i never went.
is everyone as tired as i am? dang it i feel like i have been on the go all week and my energy levels got zapped.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz huh?
hey nahant — feeling better?
Yep, Suz, equally wearied…..what a few weeks we’ve had…..and such disappointments in some folks we kinda counted on. Nice on the Central Coast, though….cool and a bit sprinkly but with lots of surfers still out there. And some good down time with the funny grandtwins…..they give me hope.
next time, perhaps — check the outer bay exhibit link. That’s where they kept the great white shark before releasing it.
It’s these aquariums for me. Completely relaxed right now. And that’s with no drinks.
hiya Nahant – did you get my link today?
hiya emerson
yeah but still get tired and to celebrate my appetite being back yesterday I made some chili and that Turkey I told ya about tonight…
this one?
Hi PPD-thanks for my MBAquarium. Hey, nahant>
hey dearie — nothing like new baby smell to make life good again
thanks ppd
how goes??
yay to appetite being back nahant.
Much better, thanks!
anyone have any tunes to recharge my get up and go?
that’s the one — interesting, eh?
BTW, I thought the Monterey Bay Aquarium was one of best places I’ve ever experienced.
i want to see it and the new academy of sciences in golden gate park. and of course the new de young.
One of the world’s best aquariums
great (:>))
I have only glanced at it but what I did read is very interesting..
i saw the pbs show (perhaps it was a nature or nova) on aquariums several years ago — magnificent eye candy.
I’ve heard the Baltimore Aquarium is excellent, too.

I’m actually in a reflective mood, but I’ll stretch a bit.

Identicals? Special either way!!
IMO, there are two must sees in Tokyo. The department store food halls (Harrods on steroids, unbelievable) and the Ginza lights.
If I were to got back, I’d go unstructured – ride the train from top to bottom, getting off and staying whenever/wherever the mood struck. The trains are fabulous, language isn’t an issue because most everyone has english they want to try out and the country is totally safe.
There was a fabulous unlimited rail pass available to foreigners that could only be purchased outside the country. We actually flew back to Korea to buy them, once we realized what an extraordinary deal they were.
*sigh* nope… blue skies is a great tune but duane and boz doing loan me a dime is more in keeping with my mood :(
Well, I was just pussyfooting around.
There’s “Take your Momma Out”
If that doesn’t get you to smile or something, I’ll have to bring out the big guns. :)
Yep, it was Nature — Oceans in Glass
i would go unstructured. is how i’ve always traveled — seeing what i can find to see. i’ve thought about tours but only for those must see places.. then i want to go off the beaten path…
that’s the one! thanks ppd — it was a great pbs show.
This might do it. Look how young they were!!
bring out the big guns dood
oh my.. that got one foot tapping loohoo
Dang you’re tough!
I should not have expected anything less.

Yes, identicals, but really quite individual anyway….and what most amuses me is that while I enjoyed raising my own kids, I didn’t have time to realize that one-year olds could have such a sense of humor…..it’s just a hoot to see them develop. Such fun.
gosh are they a year already dearie?
14 months, actually, although we were in a complete blur for the first four months as they were preemies … tho they are now 25 pounders and at the top of height charts….. and just so funny! I’ve been a teacher, a juvenile probation officer and a lawyer, but being a grandmother is the best job yet!
all the fun and none of the midnight colic :) my grandbabies came with jen’s marriage and they are pre-teens now. another interesting age for sure. i bet they are totally different when they come out again next summer. mike gets the girls for the summer and their mom during the school year since they live in separate states.
YEARGH! I’m having a hard time reading you lady!
How about The 4 Tops; Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch?
Jane Goodall just gave Jon Stewart a chimpanzee greeting, and it’s the first time I’ve seen him actually caught off guard……..too funny!
jen and mike walked back down the aisle bopping to this song
has me dancing in my chair — thanks kelly
i loved it — he didn’t know what to do when she snuggled up against him
Can’t believe these guys still sound like this

Jane Goodall is an International Treasure…..and that California condor feather was awesome!

how ya liking retirement loohoo?
Didn’t miss a note. Steve Howe’s solo at the end is unbelievable!
wow
dancing the boogie
My girls took their time, for sure. And my younger daughter married a ‘mature’ man. They needed some ‘assistance’ to have these adorable twins…..who are so amazingly their daddy’s little boys. We are definitely a multi-generational family — and it’s great! My son-in-law’s older son is a year older than my daughter, but he is my adored grandson and a wonderful ‘big brother’ to these newbies. I’m a liberal, in any case, but having such family dynamics has certainly helped me to have empathy for all kinds of families.
I’m loving it. I do need to get more structure in my day, I suppose. I still don’t have a regular bed time or get up time. or meal times…
I goof around all the time!
gotta link loohoo?
Well, there you go!
howzabout Jerry Lee Lewis, Whole Lotta Shaking Going On?
i do nothing — magnificently i might add :)
Don’t know if this will work. If it gives you a choice , hit #17.

I know. Isn’t it fun. When I got retired earlier than I’d wanted, I figured I’d give it a few weeks….you know, wait til I got bored….and then go looking for another job. Well, damn, I never got bored!
it wants me disable cookies to listen :(
thanks loohoo
Heavens! I just saw the clock.
Must go, I have a call I gotta be on in 6 hours. Foolish of me!
Later fab firepups!
g’nite kelly
time to hit the hay… nite pups..
Alright, that man is completely SICK! Where in hell did he come from?
from the utube page:
Sorry. There’s always plenty more for me to learn about these internets.
i’m so suspicious about everything lately *sigh*
I still won’t use a credit card to buy anything on line. The whole privacy thing is very disturbing. Today I heard you can now use a visual of anybody and track them down. WTF?
use a visual? i don’t understand
I don’t know about a “visual” — but when I was working as a personal injury attorney I found internet sites that would give me almost any information…..shocked me when I bought info on myself as an experiment. All my personal data was available to anyone willing to pay. Worst…….they had information on my son who had died, and they were ‘growing him up’ ….aging him and his data. Horrible. Just horrible.
how terrible dearie. every now and then i google myself just to see what’s out there.
How cruel. (((Dearie)))
emerson you talking about the facial recognition programs used by the brits that pull up all a person’s data at the touch of a button when captured on their cameras everywhere cameras?
can’t find it now. But that sounds like the program, except ABC-SF teased with it and they said “new program.” But it seemed if you had a picture of someone, you could download it and it would tell you everything about them including address, phone, etc. Scary.
Good thing we get some fun out of computers. The price is high.
a lesson brought home by bushco. 24 years on the streets didn’t make me as cynical as 8 years under boosh did.
maybe it was that tracking via cell phone program i heard something about…
*edit* nevermind — i completely misread what you wrote
i’m headed out folks. tis a balmy 38 outside — time for a hot bath and then some snuggle time with token.
thanks for all the music and conversations tonight.
g’nite all.
And, thank you, Suzanne, for hosting this fine place…this comfort zone…enjoy ……….
Night Suz.

This is so cool, I mean what an achievement they have achieved building the largest Aquarium. I would like to visit this place in person and get the feel of it. Amazing video…
