If anyone has pennies to spare, puh-leeze help us rid ourselves of the Bachman Blight!!!

I thought Bachman's district was getting eliminated after the 2010 census -- the one she told people not to respond to [thereby reducing the number of people in the district even further].

SMU has a war monger as a library

and we wonder why religion is slipping in numbers

a religious university supporting a library that has a war monger as a head

tell me capitalism has not come to america big time

even to the point of controlling universities with their money

how many iraqis has to be displaced, wounded, or killed for that library to be there.

hold your heads in shame SMU folks.

your understanding of the words of jesus is nil.

Back when Bush was first trying to find a place that would take his library and was talking to SMU I contacted the SMU president's office to point out what that would do to their academic reputation, especially the part about how investigators had to get approval from the Bushies before they were allowed to read anything. I don't remember the reply exactly, but it diplomatically said that they were having their arms twisted. There was substantial resistance on campus from both faculty and students.

According to the story in NYT Bush wants to have his accomplishments researched. Given that most of his accomplishments were nothing to be proud of: the economic mess, giving away the Treasury to war profiteers, selling the elderly to the pharm industry and the insurance industry, totally messing up an educational effort, turned the country into a police state, enriching his buddies at the expense of working Americans who now suffer unprecedented levels of poverty, wasting eight years in reaching energy independence, getting over 500 Americans killed in two different wars and Lord knows how many wounded, and on and on and on, you have to wonder if the researchers will be allowed to present the facts. I really wish that SMU had had a bit more intestinal fortitude and stood up to him so that he would have had to send his "library" out of state and not continue to bismirch the good name of the Republic.

You obviously are unclear on the concept of exactly what the Ministry of Truth does. Not only will this library have a wealth of data on the Divine Accomplishments of Greatest President Ever, it will also show how this Godlike, Historically Anointed Superman was forced to battle against a horde of satanic monsters worse than Hitler, Stalin , and Pol Pot! I refer, of course, to anyone who think the taxes of the super rich shouldn't be lowered to zero. /s

BT Bush proved Chicago School Economics wrong, Bush proved the Rumsfeld Doctrine wrong (what ever that was), School? well teachers and kids at the Lake have filled this blog with comments about teaching to the test how memorizing but not understanding facts to pass No Child Left Behind's constant tests is not teaching the kids, that and some schools to get enough kids to pass were encouraging low test scorers to drop out. (I wonder if Bush were a student today he would have been encouraged to drop out?), Global Health more Aid For Africa just no condoms when Aids is the biggest threat.
Bush's legacy he proved by experiment that the GOP was indeed WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING.
