I couldn't help contrasting the oh-so-earnest "sanctity of life" panel's arguments - by Stupak and Kaptur, et al - to their utter lack of demonstrated concern for the "sanctity of life" of helpless prisoners still trapped without charge or POW designation, <b>or already dead</b> without consequence to their captors, in American military custody. I noted from reading KagroX's tweets yesterday (he was in the room at the time of this "joke") that he seemed to quickly identify the bastard who made the crack about "I've been to Guantanamo, and this is worse" as <b>Dennis Cardoza</b> of California, Democratic "Blue Dog" member of the Slaughter Rules Committee. [And I think we hear Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina - Republican member of the Slaughter Rules Committee - giving a hearty, gleeful chuckle in the background. She, about what makes our nation great and unique, earlier in the meeting: "Our Judeo-Christian heritage, capitalism, and freedom."] Glenn, thank you. The rethugs have proved once more-and I hope that this gets some play on the networks(who am I kidding, it will never be seen except on the net, the network whores will never critize the rethugs)that they have no class.
