Well, now that the teapartiers have so taken over the land that Congress has two more Democrats in it, it’s nice to see the Republicans start to party, look at Chuck Krauthammer he’s “makin’ it rain”.
Indeed. Congratulations, good job lifting phrases straight from Stephen Colbert and enjoy apologizing repeatedly to Rush Limbaugh. And just a tip, before calling out us “liberals” by saying we hate things like the Pledge of Allegiance try not to screw up reciting it right afterward — especially when it’s clear you’ve had to write it down beforehand because you cannot remember how it goes.
And to think all this “awesome news” occurred for you just before Sarah Palin unleashes her book tour of every FoxNews show. I tell ya’ your electoral “strategery” has us all quaking here. But not for the reason you think, effective Republicans, rather than pathetic ones, makes the Democrats more effective.

In your guts, you know they’re nuts.
Interesting that the word left out of the Pledge was “indivisible”…….so now the thugs are gonna rewrite *everything* as they wish it to be, including the Bible?
From Kadie’s journal over at DU:

Pix of someone at yesterday’s (whatever the spit they want to call it) who needed emergency medical attention…….socialized medicine that *wasn’t* refused. :-(((
You mean Sarah’s not going on the CBS Nightly News to tell Katie that she now can name a book that she has read (and supposedly written0?
Noteworthy that the Gran Tour is scheduled for minor locations, “not ready for prime time” strikes me as Palin’s best description. As the party’s choice, there’s a good indication of their powers of judgment, just as of gov’t.
The billionaires for wealthcare made their mark at teabaggaging; http://seminal.firedoglake.com/diary/13150
Morning JOkE showing boner shouting about “they” want to “take your freedoms away.” Yes, sadly, “freedoms”. Plural. Jeebus, Mary and Joseph on fucking crutches these folks are stupid.
Just think of all the “freedoms” my family could enjoy if our medical insurance costs went from the $13,000 a year it is now to say $7,500 a year.
Good morning all and thanks for the post, Attaturk.
LOLOLOL!! I read “showing boner” as something other than a reference to Boehner!! Works either way, I guess!! Or maybe it’s just too early!
Good morning, pups. It’s Bobo, Cohen and Krugman today. Bobo knows “What Independents Want,” and tells us that independents can’t always articulate what they want, but they withdraw from any party that threatens turmoil and risk. Mr. Cohen, in “Bunkers or Breakthrough?”, says with Mohamed ElBaradei in his last month at the International Atomic Energy Agency, now is the time for a deal on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Prof. Krugman says “Obama Faces His Anzio,” and that President Obama chose a cautious approach rather than bold action on the economy, and the decision may haunt Democrats for years to come.
Here they are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got banana pancakes this morning. It’s a nippy (for us) 42° here, and since I’ve got the day off (yay!) I think I’m going to go and tuck up under a comforter with a book. The cats have been fed and fussed over, so I should be able to do that in relative peace. Have a great day.
One wonders the pronunciation or meaning of indivisible is problematic for the Gentleman from Missouri.
Morning all.
I loved the sketch on KO last night showing Boner waving the constitution around; saying how important it was and then quoting from it except that he was reading the declaration of independence and he didn’t realize it.
Hilarious!
!
like we’re not haunted by the former cretin in chief’s stumbling into whatever drive he decided to chance for us all and posterity? > his nubs Krugman is not looking as deeply as I expect of him.
Oh please BT, put a clip of that on Morning Swim. Between the left out word from the pledge and this flub up, I’ll enjoy some giggles this AM!
Boner’s idiocy starts at 3:20

Morning. I’ve got giant-sized text on my computer this morn. Checked the text size on the toolbar (medium is clicked). Computers are a mystery.
Anyway…irt to the repub gloating over the election, has anyone seen it mentioned that we picked up 2 seats. Mika, yesterday was beside herself because Pelosi wasn’t crying over the election. Some very dishonest reporting.
Knock, knock, knock
Once health care is passed, I’ll bet my bottom dollar that the bright, shiny new GOP governors in NJ and VA decide not to “opt out” after all.
Funny that, huh? Repubs say no with one side of their mouths and gimmee, gimmee, gimmee with the other.
If Ny 23 is any indication of what to expect from the wingnut fringe in 2010 ,I can’t wait !
That election ought to be a laugh a minute, maybe Joe The Plumber will even run
I just hope violence doesn’t erupt.
Oh crap, he did shout Ala Acbar before he started shooting.
Someone at Sadly, No suggested that during the 2010 elections we’ll be watching the Republicans try to juggle flaming chainsaws.
Loved the video !
Gotta keep your sense of humor !
Don’t see the election as especially positive for the Dems. As Krugman pointed out this AM in New Jersey the voters picked Christie who promised tax reduction and more jobs without ever explaining how he would do it just as Reagan promised lower taxes and greater defense. He did it with deficits which were not a part of his campaign rhetoric. The Germans in extremis bought Hitler. Our liberties barely survived George Bush. Sarah Palin, who gives new meaning to stupid, can be in the running if things get worse.
AM Joe broke away from the facts of the presser so they could speculate. CNN still showing the presser.
edit: cnn broke away too. fox still covering
Typical Republican: “And now, let’s recite the Pledge of Allegiance, which liberals hate! Ha ha ha… uh… does anybody know the words? Oh, wait, here’s a copy… uh… does anybody know how to read?”
The media loves it when the most powerful man in the world is a Democrat, because Democrats aren’t hypertribalists. When a Republican is in the White House, whole swaths of the population become reflexively pro-President, which means networks get accused of liberal bias when they report in any way critically about him or expose him to any scrutiny — even the typical blather on the networks that isn’t really insightful. The President has a loyal tribe, in other words, if he’s a Republican. So the media gets scared of protests and adopts a President-friendly attitude (“Please, could we be embedded with the troops? Please please, could we have a Pentagon-approved military advisor? PLEASE?!?!”) But when a Democrat is in the White House, no immediate or harsh revenge is forthcoming, no matter what you do… so, as with the endless -Water faux-scandals during the Clinton years, the media knows that Dems don’t circle the wagons the way the GrOPe does, and they feel much freer to do scandal-based stories that embarrass the White House.
It’s all about the money, my friends. No big news there.
Amazingly, Mika shut him up.
Heees baack. Ted Haggard is starting a new church in his basement.
http://www.gazette.com/articles/haggard-65454-ted-church.html
Mike ,I fear that we will see violent episodes erupt soon , and that they will become the norm in wingnut protests , these folks are becoming angrier by the day . An anger so thick you can feel it.
As long as they are being egged on by hate mongers such as Beck and Limbo ,we can only expect the worst
that was my take as well, he didn’t “flub” for the reasons we think, I believe he flubbed because they deliberately tried to censor out the word “indivisible” and the phrase folder in his head wouldn’t let him do it
I’m not kidding, I believe it was intended to leave out that word, they are tenthers all
Mornin’, Attaturk, pups
Roy Zimmerman has the health care industry’s solution to health care.
Let them !
As long as they are the only ones hurt by their actions
Mike,
Don’t you know you’re at the FDL borg? LaFiga had this yesterday afternoon: Party At Ted Haggard’s!
It was the right that treated GWB like a king , yet they accuse Obama of acting like one . Geez!
Oops got tied up last night.
Hi, solai. If your mouse has one of those scroll/roll thingies between the buttons, try holding the Ctrl key down while rolling the thingie up or down slowly. It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
Did it involve fur-lined handcuffs?
That’s going to fire up a fresh new round of Islamophobia. Booga booga starting in 3, 2, 1.
Hahaha. Neither that nor leather straps
Given the wall of elected thugs standing in front/behind the fruitcakes yesterday, that would be a logical assumption.
(no offense intended to fruitcakes……maligned as they are during the holidays) *g*
Am Swim is upstairs…
That’s going to fire up a fresh new round of Islamophobia. Booga booga starting in 3, 2, 1.
It’s Obama’s fault, ya know. Muslims in our military? W never woulda stood for that!
and pretty soon that damned Obama is gonna let gays serve openly – can you imagine? The absolute ruination of America’s fighting forces.
No gay Muslims in OUR military !!
goddammit. Also.
KO has it correct. That was a hate rally and IT IS frightening.
This is sick. Bachmann is not a leader nor deserves her public office by leading such hate.
Look uesterday showed us a bunch of Dumb Ass Ditto heads being lead by Bachmann who is a DIP SHIT.
.
With his whips and midgets.
My niece, aka the only other sane non-teabagger in my extended family, called me yesterday and commented about the extreme rage being exhibited by our family & other teabaggers we know. We are both somewhat mystified by the incendiary and non-abating rage, although it’s clear that stoking anger (over nothing) is a good manipulation tool. Anger is one of those base but intense emotions that really motivates *some* of us.
My neice is learning not to engage her mom and other family members in political discussions, but has done so in the recent past. She got nothing coherent as to why they were all so angry. So shorter teabagger rally: they are all angry but no one knows why.
The imagery they use, esp of the concentration camps in Germany, is clearly meant to stoke that rage, but bears no relation to any current reality. Eric Cantor *should* be ashamed of himself for associating with such dreck, but money talks… what an @$$hole.
What’s disturbing is how far over the Overton window is being pushed. While I love to diss Bible Spice and the rest of these chumps, I do have serious concern about where this will lead and end up.
I feel the worst kind of concern troll, but these teabaggers (as stupid as they are and look) are very clearly being manipulated in very definite ways. Weirdo Glenn Beck is getting paid to be the way he acts bc it IS working (no matter how gibberously inane & contradictory he is).
I’ll get offa my soap box now (gotta get to work), but will end on a lighter note:
Yes, I loved the footage of that wingnut dissing us DFH about allegedly hating the Pledge and then messing it up, but not before screaming out the “UNDER GOD” part. Sheesh. Dolts.
Also Boner yelling about the constitution and then reciting the beginning of the Declaration of Independence. Man-tan Dolt on steriods.
And there is footage somewhere of some teabagger screaming: Palin/Bachmann 2012!!!!!! Yeeesh.
