What is so disgusting and irritating is the medias handling of the win in New York.
CNN headlines Palins book tour, with no mention that the Democrats won in an area that has been republican for years. This station is becoming as bad as Fox, actually worse, as more people are tempted to believe them
when they say news you can trust.
Cafferty used to be the shining light at CNN but now he is as bad, if not worse than Blitzer and the rest of their biased commentators.
NYTs headlines the two wins by the republicans.
I do not know what we can do about such bias by the media except continue to attack them with our blogs.

Co-signed.

Young voters, especially, are turned off by the Prez's lack of follow thru on his promises -- it's hard to preach patience to a sufferer -- but it's a lesson the WH and the Dems better not brush off lightly, otherwise it will come back to bite 'em in the ass.

Meanwhile, the MSM has been totally co-opted into the Fauxnewz bullpoopoo spinning game . . . Morning Joke is tsk-tsking the lack of influence Obama's agenda has had as evidenced by 2 -- count 'em, 2! elections and ignoring the teabagger fiasco in NY's 23rd . . .

Which begs the question -- why isn't FDL going after the MSM as vigorously as it seems to be doing to DKos? Why is the left attacking the left?

Deeds ran against "Cap and Trade" and said that he would opt-out of the health care public option. Then he received low turnout of Democratic base. There is a message for the Democrats in this election. Conservadems are not going to get the base excited enough to overpower the polls. You put a trigger on the public option and that same trigger may be on your support at the polls. Why would anyone rush to the polls to put another Lieberman in office. If you want to do well in 2010, then you need to demonstrate that you can govern. A trigger means that you are not governing just using smoke and mirrors.

Heard that yesterday and was not at all surprised. The Insurance/Pharma/AMA lobbies are very strong and very rich. When the Israeli senator said yesterday that he may not filibuster it was pretty obvious that a dirty deal was in the works.

As for the votes yesterday they, I think, reflected the Independent's disgust with the WH and the Dem "leadership". BO got the Independent/Progressive vote in the General by sticking to the mantra of "no substance" in any of his speeches but a promise of changing the way gummint is run while , at the same time, he was hoping to do business in exactly the same way that it has been done for years. He wanted the money and power and to hell with the people. He is a whore like the rest of them.

Yup, BFL, I just heard that on NPR also.

EDIT: I've been in and out of the room as I get ready for work, but coverage seems focused on the two governors races and very little coverage of the CA and NY congressional races. And Bloomberg, of course.

Democrats think just because they have a "D" after their name the votes will be there. Weak leadership and no "balls" will always result in low voter turnout for Dems.

And if Obama doesn't turn up the heat and get healthcare done with a robust po and start to heed to the will of those that got him there, 2010 will be a loss as his presidency

There is a message in yesterdays vote and that is very, very low turnout. The lackluster leadership in the senate is definitely not going to inspire any thing other than low turnout in 2010. Time to push Reid out is now and kick out Lieberman now too. Is the ubber reich wing going to accept Lieberman?
