I will be watching NY-23. It is interesting that having whipped the mob to a frenzy, the GOP establishment is now unable to control them. Mob mentality and its leadership is worth watching. I guess I have a little Defarge in me.

OT, did anyone see the PBS docudrama on the Leo Franks lynching in Georgie in 1915? Very well done and exposed how some of the “leaders” of Atlanta and Georgia orchestrated the lynching. The rope was chopped up and sold as souvenirs to the faithful.

Thanks. I wasn’t online that day. I was in the city doing stuff, including having dinner with my son who was visiting from Austin. And yes, it was a good one. My son is still a wingnut, but has gotten a grip on some of his more stupid and provocational outbursts, so we were actually able to have a decent conversation. Also, he’s lost 50 pounds, so he looks a lot better. So yes, it was a very good good day.

When my son was there in 01 – 02 he spent a considerable amount of time operating out of a Pakistan AFB about 100 miles south of Islamabad then to a forward Sp ops base near Kandahar in Afghanistan.

I’ve been pondering how tastes change as we age. After I retired, I took up several of the activities that I enjoyed earlier but didn’t have enough time for. Some I did for while and then abandoned. Others (bicycling) have stuck.
