Three references to the Lake on KO, the last for Marcy’s work. Outstanding. Ought to bring the trolls a runnin’.

Left you a message at bottom of last thread.
Ms Palin to tell us about her book on CBS….You betcha…Good Morning.
Gonna miss her.
Does that mean she has read it?
That oughtta be a great interview.
“Book? I wrote a book?”
Thanks for the Cheney update. The world series has been cutting into KO and my sleep (go Phillies!!). I also really like the numerous firedoglake citations!
Ubber reich wing magazine is selling her book and four months subscription
for $4.95.
Damn, the publisher must be givin’ that sucker away to bulk buyers.
I’m gonna go nuts waiting for election returns today. Want to see the turnout numbers.
Al Gore will be on AmJoe sometime in the next 45 minutes
Had to go to Suzanne’s post first this mornin’. Shoulda known better.
Don’t be silly…Well, maybe she has an answer for Katie Couric.
Morning…I was just reading the earlier post and someone said NY23 has voted repub for 140yrs. I’ve heard this said several times now, but that’s not exactly true. The district has been redefined several times and NY23 has had dem reps. There may be parts of that district that have never voted dem (that, I don’t know) but NY23,itself, has voted dem ocassionally. I’m hoping for a freeking miracle to shut up Palin, Malkin et.al.
I love the way Dean did his shout-out to Marcy. By mentioning “the weeds” he shows that he follows Marcy’s work closely and appreciates what she does. Very nicely done.
Notice how Jane and firedoglake have replaced Kos on the shows?
I hope they get Marcy back on.
Methinks her “blowjob” comment may not have set well with the cretins. *g*
Wasn’t it Emma Goldman, or was it Mother Jones, that said if elections actually changed things there wouldn’t be elections?
Well, damn, now I gotta look that up.
Shuster was only off air for a couple of weeks for his pimping comment.
Emma Goldman
Yeah, but he’s paid staff, Marcy’s a guest.
Thanks SD. Catch the PBS docudrama on the Leo Franks lynching in Georgia? Was well done and implicated “leaders” in Georgia and Atlanta as the ringleaders.
Morning All
Oooooops…This is about Sarah From Alaska, Not her own book.
No, what a shock.
No, but I caught a short version somewhere yesterday. The rich and powerful had him taken from jail and lynched. There were some articles a number of years ago that named the killer as the janitor who testified against Frank.
Yeah, I know, shocking. Said it was the catalyst for the revival of the KKK. From that point on it was meant to protect American “values” not only from blacks but now from Catholics and Jews and anyone else who didn’t “fit in.”
Doesn’t that make you feel safe?
Is GWB going to be in DC today to rub Angela Merkels back or is Obama going to take over those duties?
Next on KO/Dean’s “to do” list:
a) mention Marcy by name; and
b) urge listeners to contribute to the “Marcy Fund.”
Props to you, Marcy. I was cheering at every mention.
Yeah, I liked the “weeds” comment too.
The Firedoglake mentions will drive some DKos commenters crazy.
Why?
Methinks they have grown unfond of the Lake. Too much DLC over there for me.
I’m hoping I-1033 in Washington State goes down in defeat. It will hamper any effort at good government.
What’s I-1033 about?
Got it. Never mind. Sounds a lot like the nightmare Californians inflicted upon themselves.
Basically it will take any possible increase in tax revenues and turn it into a reduction in property taxes. Colorado tried the same thing and the voters finally overturned it, because it trashed their schools and government functions. The ads against 1033 have been pretty good. They probably should have started just a little bit earlier, since Washington is mostly a vote-by-mail state. I only saw a few anti-1033 ads before our ballots came in and went out the same day. Where I live, there were only two items on the ballot, the I-1033 and R-71 (changes definitions so homosexuals and others are not discriminated against in Washington State Code). Not sure how R-71 will do, as we have a lot of real Libertarians, so they would support R-71 as will most Democrats. The Fundies oppose it.
Ah, yes-TABOR. After it has screwed up so many States you would think these morans would figure out it was, like, a terrible idea. But no, it was just poorly implemented by RINOs in all those places…
Our Washington State idiot is Tim Eyman. Lots of folks I know automatically vote No if it is a Tim Eyman initiative. The ads have done a good job making sure everyone knows it is one of his initiatives.
Isn’t it amazing that it took the economy to damn near collapse for some to realize that what they were told in those nice little 30-second campaign ads wasn’t true.
His name was prominent in the piece I looked up. IIRC there was one guy in CA who was the driving force behind Prop 13 those many years ago.
New post upstairs…
Off to swim in the great capitalist cesspool.

From the department of rude interruptions comes this report: A bear killed two militants and critically wounded a third after discovering them in its den in Indian-administered Kashmir, police say. A damned poor choice of campsites, one could surmise…
I am really tired of this cut taxes and government is to big crap. My folks were life long republicans who thought it was their responsibility to pay their fair share. What part of the government is to big? I don’t want American Airlines controling the skies. I don’t want the American Peanut Company determining when the food supply is safe.
All the parts that Grover doesn’t like (which are all the parts he doesn’t find personally profitable).
Apparently not the sharpest tools in the shed.
It doesn’t take much looking to see how corruption rules The Village. Norquist and Reed should be in prison with Abramoff.
Agree.
It is nice to know such minds are reading along with us. I also think the efforts to sink Fitz are even more significant after reading the released interview.
Amen. Can’t believe Reed is still active in politics and thus sucking at the tit of governance. And Norquist, my thoughts on him are only moddable. I loathe the man.
Oh well, as John Dean notes, Cheney has now gotten himself beyond the statute of limitations, so too bad, you dirty hippies. What you gonna do about it now, huh? Not a goddamn thing, that’s what.
Wasn’t that the whole point all along of the Bush/Cheney/Rove patented technique of obstructing and dissembling, baiting and switching, moving the goalposts, etc. etc?
