I’ve had a lot of concerns about the neoliberal agenda that seems to drive much of what comes out of the White House. But if there’s been one strategy that I wholeheartedly concur with, it has been their effort to dismantle the Chamber of Commerce and disempower Fox.

Thirty Republicans in the Senate voted against Sen. Al Franken’s amendment to the Defense Appropriations Act that prevents government contractors requiring their employees to submit to arbitration rather than taking assault cases to court. It appears that Sen. Dan Inouye, Chair of the Appropriations Committee, is now contemplating removing the Franken Amendment from the bill.

A public option is something that 80% of Nevada Democrats want.

Call Nevada Democrats and let them know Reid says he has the votes for a public option, he’s just not sure he wants one.

Don’t leave the goal unattended; activists would do well to cover members of congress until they are forced to commit to a position.

Harry Reid went to the White House, last night. But innstead of an offer to help round up the votes, the White House leaked to reporters conflicting statements, one that Obama expressed no preference and another that Obama preferred Olympia Snowe’s trigger.
