When Pro-Business Ideology Goes Bad

By: Ruth Calvo Sunday October 25, 2009 7:00 pm

Pro-business policies have been fought and defeated by the Chamber of Commerce on the grounds that they know business needs. That has been proved horribly wrong. Progressives have policies that actually do benefit our business community.

Parody? No, It’s Michael Mukasey

By: Cynthia Kouril Sunday October 25, 2009 6:00 pm

Former USAG Mukasey pens a Terror-Terror-Terror-BE-VERY-AFRAID argument for abandoning our own laws and Constitution. But we should follow our own laws and our own Constitution because it is the right thing to do, not because we profit by it.

By: Phoenix Woman Sunday October 25, 2009 5:00 pm

Oh joy, oh rapture, oh ecstasies untold!  Sally Quinn has appeared on our TV screens once more — this time to join Bill O’Reilly in FOX News’ War on Grayson: As many of you know, the Republicans have already named Alan Grayson as ‘Enemy Number One’ on their list of Democrats to bring down in [...]

Prosecutors Attack Innocence Project Journalism Students

By: bmaz Sunday October 25, 2009 4:00 pm

Cook County Illinois is the gift that keeps on giving. By: John Holowach Sunday October 25, 2009 2:00 pm

By: David Dayen Sunday October 25, 2009 12:30 pm

A second high-profile Senator has slammed the “trigger” idea favored by Sen. Olympia Snowe and, according to published reports, the White House, saying that a bill without a real public option would have a hard time picking up his support. Appearing on Face The Nation, Sen. Russ Feingold joined Sen. Jay Rockefeller in opposing the trigger idea, calling it “an invitation to the insurance industry” to keep themselves in line for a couple years, only to find new ways to abuse the system thereafter.

By: Blue Texan Sunday October 25, 2009 11:30 am

Ingraham’s right. These so-called “popular” people with approval ratings in the 50s are irrelevant. Cheney’s ability to sway the third of the country who still thinks George W. Bush was a great president remains impressive.
