How ’bout those devout American Muslims ‘extremists’ being treated like despicable world terrorists because they planned to bomb a Dutch paper for it’s offense to Muhammad, yet we have a fucking honors ceremony going on in this country for all the killers and bombers of abortion care providers by devout American Cristian ‘extremists’.
In this country we don’t call those particular Christians ‘terrorists’.
In America and Israel, we don’t call Christians and Jews who participate in the cluster bombing of non-Jews ‘terrorists’. Do we?
No. Of course we don’t.
Instead, we call them “patriots”.

So rather than Obama telling Reid not to announce the opt-out decision, or the administration would pull the rug out from under it, they elected to let him take them all out on a limb and the saw it off? The worry over getting 60 votes to avoid a debacle, smart or not, seems more likely to me.
