Perpetuating this hypocrisy is insulting to voters with average/above average intelligence. Only the dwindling hardcore Republicans will give voice to the type of bullshit that Politico is shoveling, and those that have any brains know that it is bullshit. Nobody is swayed by these tactics, but it is costing the Republicans dearly. If they keep it up, fewer than 20% of the electorate will identify themselves as Republican. The circular firing squad continues. Ready! Aim! Fire!
