Please take a look at my diary post “Tell Senator Reid to Lead. THE TIME IS NOW!”
Have a great night! ;->
Emily Rogers, very nice!
Hey Eureka
Petition man..)
Evening newtonusr. Agreed… the song and video is a really nice piece of work.
Haunting-cool.
evening Eureka and Newt.
Manana.
Dead Man’s Bones – pretty funny transition.
Dude, where do you find this stuff?
I like the Dean Man’s Bones!
hi sunny
That’s what I’m wondering!
Evening Sunny and Loo Hoo.
And a piece like this, you have to wait for it.
Were it not Eureka’s spot, I wouldn’t have the discipline.
I look under every rock..) Subscribe to 700 youtube channels and monitor a couple hundred music related blogs, facebook, twitter, etc.
Evening, all!
I know what you mean, newt.
Good for you, ES on all of your music connections, and thanks for sharing more than just one at a time.
I always wonder if our Suz peeks in on her free nights.
Only 700? these amateurs…
LOL. I can’t stand the thought of missing a good new video.
Couldn’t resist – downloading Dead Mans Bones.
-37 seconds in. Life is good on dial-up *g*
I remember it all too well.
Sunny, Did you buy a new to you car?
We’ve all been there with dial-up, Sunny. It’s like magic to get high speed. Is there cable in your area?
Hello?
Have one in my sights. Its legal problems are resolving, looks to be mine in a few days.
My amazing mechanic restored the blinkers, horn and w/wipers on mine this am in fairly short order, so I have wheels. These race car guys are something special.
You are fortunate.. A good mechanic is the next best thing to a good bakery.
amen
I’m in a small black hole. A couple thousand feet and one political boundary from desirable service.
There is one alternative – I hate it, but may eventually capitulate.
Hi y’all. I had the opportunity to travel all the way from Oregon to Washington DC last weekend for a wedding, and ended up getting my my political juices all flowing again.
It was funny standing outside the White House gate on a sun splashed Friday afternoon wondering why numerous foreign news outfits were taping segments where we were – only later to realize that a prize had been awarded to the POTUS that day. Last weekend was also a big weekend for the GLBT community, so that added a lot of extra energy to the neighborhood where we were.
What’s that, Sunny?
You were in DC last weekend on blind luck???
Hi Muzzy, Sounds wonderful.. After a few years of fire dogging.. I tell you D.C. is high on my list of places to go. Never been there.
Indeed – never had a great mechanic before. Like a fantasy come true.
Interesting article up on the FP of the NYT
Public Option Is Next Big Hurdle in Health Debate
I went there once as a kid and remember the Air and Space Museum and the Washington Monument. My second trip involved driving up from Chapel Hill to see the US play Scotland in soccer at RFK stadium about 10 years ago. I recall DC seeming crusty at the time, but not so this trip.
I was moved by the beauty of the trees and sunny fall weather, the architecture of the WH and surrounding buildings/monuments, the Embassy neighborhood along with the Naval Observatory and National Cathedral. Just strikingly beautiful. It transcends this moment in time when thinking of all it holds in history and personal meaning for most all of us in many ways – both good and bad.
So much I want to see.. including everything you mentioned. But I think the top of my list is taking a little camera over to the back door of the US House.. and chasing down a few congresscritters with hard hitting questions… just like Mike Stark. *s*
ATT card. I’d rather eat bugs.
I’m eating verizon card (bug). But it works quite well. Will change your life if you are an internet junkie on dial up.
I’ve wondered how those work. Someone tried to sell me an international card for traveling. No bueno, huh?
Good night firedogs.
It was inanely gratifying to trash talk about Goldman Sachs standing on the sidewalk with friends outside of the Dept. of Treasury and explaining their programmed high frequency trading_scam.
ES – One place I recommend you check out is the rooftop bar at the W Hotel. Cool electro rhythms and a view straight across at the East Wing/ roof of the White House barely 200 yards away. You can literally wave at the ninja guarding the rooftop of the WH. In this day and age, it’s weird, really.
Last story – We were at the W Sat night and I went down to the street for some quiet and fresh air and to call my brother. The street was dead and I noticed a DHS car blocking a side street with the lights on. A moment passed and then a helicopter was hovering overhead. I figured something was about to happen. Then a loud rumble arose and 6 motorcycles flew by in single file at ~50mph , lights flashing, followed by a couple black SUVs, a black limo, a black ice cream looking truck probably holding enough arms to wage a small war, and half a dozen more DHS squad cars bringing up the rear. They turned right one block away past the Dept of Treasury and into the South side of the WH. I’m guessing it was the POTUS coming back from having a burger or something.
Though there’s miles to go before we sleep, g’nite ES, and all.
I’m sure that’s true.
Bright side – a small local tel co-op (like real human beings) can issue the card and serve as intermediary. Unfortunately, they can’t provide my telco service.
Don’t take my word for it – I’m biased *g*
Loo Hoo, are you still here?
I’m out. Nite Lurk.
Yes. Did I miss you?
Here’s what we get on RedState:
hahahahahaha
