Because you can be sure they want nothing to do with him and will never approve his purchase. Which brings the possibility that Rush would start a jihad against the anti trust exemption for professional sports teams which would be the death of them as we know them. I guess that is not a political battle he would win but throwing the light on it could have a material impact on team valuations and already the economic decline is pressuring many franchises. We are already in a sports franchise recession and mark my words that they are going to start failing in any case. As sport team ownership is the ultimate ego play and since Rush is Mr Ego I don't doubt that this is a battle he might not be able to resist. The league better hope Rush doesn’t go forward with this.
