Home now, since Tuesday. The weather was wonderful, the five flight walk-up not so much. The city is so freaking beautiful, and our membership at ICOM (International Council of Museums) gave us free admission to all museums. It was great, and I need a new knee…
I tried to not be a wet blanket on our foursome wandering in town. I’m having an affair with a bag of frozen peas right now. The good news, the French love our President. His face was in every Metro station!
DoooD…! Go figure I’m up here at the NASA-funded Gemini Obs. and they have the audacity to kick us peons off the mtn 2 1/2 hrs prior to impact…! Bloody buggers, if ya ask me…!
We’ve already had several snow flurries here within the past week and it’d be snowing right now if the temp dropped only a few more degrees…! It’s gonna be a looong winter…! ;-)
To us, he represents a World that is not controlled by crazy, white men and we can see what a fierce battle he has against those who do not wish to give up their power.
Did the Parisians tell you about the wild parties they had after BHO won the General Election ?
Shockingly, I don’t own a camera or a phone that works in Europe! Holy moly! MrCE says that he will try to pass some photos to my email at work. I can’t believe that I don’t control images.
From previous thread (sorry about being late, I’m having phone problems):
28-29 week preemies are viable for a day or so, unless they get lot$ of $eriou$ life $upport for 7-8 weeks. Even with the life $upport the prognosis is less-than-marvelous.
I’m certainly not au fait with it, but if they’ve defining 7 month fetuses as viable they are stretching a point. At 28 weeks, obstetricians will do almost anything within reason to hold off delivery as long as possible. A NICU is no substitute for a uterus.
Yep, they have put a few of my friends in a Hospital Bed 24/7, in order to get the Baby closer to term. It was tough for the mothers but the alternative is much tougher.
Yep, but I was a passenger. My Uncle fancied himself as a Race Car Driver and would make his 2002 zip through traffic, much to the delight of us young ‘uns.
Even years later, we all felt that you could pay a lot more and still not get the same value as those 2002s …
Urm, I love Coach Singletary, and I hope he has power to use that holdout as HE sees fit, without interference from Front Office.
If holdout is NOT game worthy, I hope Singletary sits his ass the whole season!!!!!
But alas, the money spent, almost garentee’s the fuck will get to play, and usurp Coach Singletary just as he’s bringing these ragtag fucks around to a new potential glory.
the old 2002s had an Achilles heal: the two-piece driveshaft with a rubber donut connector thingamajigee that tended to wear out and flap around when engaging gears.
Crabtree would be stupid to try and make Mike Singletary look bad. Singletary commands too much respect and the entire Niners’ team will smack Crabtree around if he tries to upstage the Coach.
First thing I learnt in it, on the Foster City Salt Flats (San Mateo near the bay) was how to counter steer.
Second thing I learnt in it was, how to shift without the clutch.
Came in handy when I got me a ‘52 Flathead Ford 3/4 ton truck, with a 3 speed compound low, that had a shit clutch!!! Lord the bikes and cars and trucks I burnt thru in my ute.
I wasted a few, but hey, I knew how to DRIVE them, at least . . LOL
Walk dogs at the animal shelter on Mon, Wed, Fri. Tuesday, Bella, a brindle pit, who always liked to roll around in the grass, attacked her cellmate. Both dogs were injured so severely, they were both put down. I’ve walked Bella since the beginning of July. Get those doggers out of there, folks. They’ve had enough.
Hey Suz! Hey Larue, if I might dip a bit deeper into the Niners just this once so as not to make this a sports thread:
this team is getting tougher and more reflective of Singletary every week. They are a 12-4 team – look at that lateral defense – nobody gets them laterally – and their offense is better than anyone had a right to expect.
The only reason they lost the Farvrvrvre game is because they scored the go-ahead TD with eight minutes left, gave the Vikes the ball 4 more times, and got a combined 8 net yards on their own 4 post-TD possessions – they went prevent and gave Farvrvrvre the ball too many times. That prevent shit – it will not happen again.
Twitter is following NASA’s bombing, but, NASA’s giving erroneous info that they’re gonna show live pics from Gemini shortly… The dome’s not even open and they’re not sure if they’re even gonna be able to open it for it…! Hello…?
Thanks, I spent a lot of time on it, I want to help others do what I did in SF. I’ve been hoping a group or George Soros would swooping down to hire me or fund me to do this work, but they haven’t. I thought people might want to see that this stuff doesn’t happen magically and that the work that I’ve been doing for years is based on some strategies and methods. We all know what Glenn Beck and Fox have down after he lost advertisers, but does the media look at how that happened? No. They look at the backlash, but I assure you, the financial people look at the lost advertisers.
This diary shows some of extended tactics as part of a bigger strategy.
To DISTURB it, earthquake wise, would take less than one on earth.
Follow me?
But there’s no ATMOSPHERE, on Luna.
So, what happens if there’s a large explosion?
It spreads fast, in a vacuum? Or Slower? I don’t know.
And, what happens to the inner core of Da Moon, given an explosion we are setting off?
Does it vibrate more or less, than on earth>
And if it vibrates MORE, can a caliber of explosion we are SETTING OFF, fuck up the moon?
What are the details, why don’t we KNOW what they are, and just IMAGINE a moon that’s bombed, and WORST case, fractures a bit, and MOVES OUT OF ORBIT one per fucking cent!
The astro-dude KO had on tonight said that the impacts the Moon receives regularly every month – several he said – are significantly bigger that our little rocket. He did not seem at all worried.
larue, I’ve had two good nights, only on oral meds and O2. Elmore can travel without worrying and I get the best back rubs everrrrr
in today’s world of hospice, they do ask that I not seek treatment but now that I have had the morphine and oxygen I feel so much better. when I get stronger, I could go back home and try it. I can say no but youall need to understand the amount of tumors I have, sucks doesn’t it. think of it as assisted living vs hospice
I can’t provide another animal a home, but I always buy 2x animal food. Half for home and half for animeals charity. I learned many donors stipulate food for meals on wheels, which is certainly worthwhile, but knowing that, I now stipulate it for the shelters.
elmore and I made the best decisions for us at this time. No one is forcing me and the best bet us that he gets a break from the stress, having ER visits every weekend sucks and I’m tired of being admitted
i’m glad you are making the best decision for you katy. i’m sure you are also enjoying the break — not having to worry about anything and you are feeling better there.
As I recall, hospice means you give up your doctor, and insurance reimbursements. Please let me know what “inpatient hospice” means. I have been through hospice with a loved one, and they were…..invaluable.
no rain all this week. cooler a wee bit each day and down into the 30’s some nights now. supposed to rain next week — weather dood said something about getting some of that moisture coming across the pacific from that japan typhoon or something.

it is lovely. winters are not for the faint of heart but the storms have their own beauty. i am very lucky here and it would be perfect if it wasn’t for the being up on the second story part.
Zedders…?
nice zed ct :)
Woo-Hoo…! Evening, Ma Cheri…! ;-)
aloha dood – good to see your fonts again ct
Always a pleasure to take a dip in the Lake…! *g*
glad to see this time ya dressed for the occasion *wink wink*
Love, love Brassed Off — well, what’s not to love about Ewan McG?
hey ce — how was paris (or are you still there)?
Heh, I don’t want the lQQK…! Are ya gonna refuse to dive ever again if the P.O. is excluded from the Healthcare bill…?
i’ve been diving this summer but it has gotten chilly up here. was diving every sat nite when the cartoon posted.
i’m a fair-weather diver
Home now, since Tuesday. The weather was wonderful, the five flight walk-up not so much. The city is so freaking beautiful, and our membership at ICOM (International Council of Museums) gave us free admission to all museums. It was great, and I need a new knee…
I hadn’t heard of Brassed Off. Have to rent it, if I can find a place still open in my town (they’re all closing)
My family is in love with Netflix — best movies ever!
hey all.
hey margot — tis a very depressing movie.. click on the wiki link in the post in brassed off.
ouch ouch and double ouch
hey sunny what’s up?
I tried to not be a wet blanket on our foursome wandering in town. I’m having an affair with a bag of frozen peas right now. The good news, the French love our President. His face was in every Metro station!
peas make an excellent ice bag for the knee. :(
Suz ! Firepups !
Dood !
petro! how’s toronto tonight?
Not only the French … the whole World lurves BHO … and Michelle too.
We see the Rethugs as a bunch of crazies who are headed off a Cliff … and none too soon ...
I may have a new (to me) car, one I actually love. Courtesy of my mechanic who doesn’t want to let me go, PITA that I am.
Odd deal and won’t be sure thing for a couple of weeks, but I’m grinning. Road Trip!
sweeeet sunny. what kinda new to you car?
Frizzing cold wind, rain … did I mention the wind ? *g*
Besides that, it’s paradise …
DoooD…! Go figure I’m up here at the NASA-funded Gemini Obs. and they have the audacity to kick us peons off the mtn 2 1/2 hrs prior to impact…! Bloody buggers, if ya ask me…!
Btw, hire a publicist already…! ;-)
More French people kissed me than any year ever. It was amazing. They love BHO and even the waiters in bistros shook my hand.
Dammit … you got kicked out from front row seats.
It seems that Publicists require $$$ … when is this craziness gonna end ? *g*
Maybe he luvvvs you.;)
Heh… Kinda like the one the Reichtards at the Weekly Standard hosted when Rio took home the gold…? ;-)
No,not so much. They just seemed kinder and more polite. Amazing. especially after us going there since 1978.
got any pictures ce? i was traveling vicariously through ya, ya know, and i wanna know what i saw
That was pitiful, huh ? Blaming Obama for the loss … I didn’t think America had a chance of winning the Bid.
Electing Obama was, to us, America’s way of saying, “WTF were we thinking to allow Dubya/Chin-ee to wreak havoc in the World ?”
Love Me THIS Ewan!
hey larue — how’s sac tonight?
Yeah, but yer OUR all weather diva! *G*
True, and it was truly a ‘damned if he went, damned if he didn’t’ scenario…! 8-(
Shockingly, I don’t own a camera or a phone that works in Europe! Holy moly! MrCE says that he will try to pass some photos to my email at work. I can’t believe that I don’t control images.
Yep … the Rethug Gameplan has always been to paint the Dems as losers, no matter what happens.
dood i dont look so good all cold and wet. i’m preventing the potential od on brain bleach ….
Suz,
From previous thread (sorry about being late, I’m having phone problems):
28-29 week preemies are viable for a day or so, unless they get lot$ of $eriou$ life $upport for 7-8 weeks. Even with the life $upport the prognosis is less-than-marvelous.
See “Long Way Round” when he and his pal ride motorcycles around the world.
Twice even…! We’ve much to atone for…!
Takes one to know one, Petro!
oh ce… holy moly is right. egad what a predicament…
i’m not totally sure on all the specifics of the ca law — its been a while and all i remembered was the viable thing.
good to see ya again bct – how ya been?
LOL … what a bunch, huh ?
I’m certainly not au fait with it, but if they’ve defining 7 month fetuses as viable they are stretching a point. At 28 weeks, obstetricians will do almost anything within reason to hold off delivery as long as possible. A NICU is no substitute for a uterus.
I’ll try to find some photos.
I have a hellaofaweek coming up. See you tomorrow.
Well, I got Shane wrong with Ewan, but hey, I loves me some Pogues! *G*
(my bad CE!)
Busy with classes, Suz. And with students. I swear I’m going to put a NO WHINING sign on my office door.
How have you been?
g’nite ce — fingers and toes crossed it improves
Got me the wrong Ewan, CE . . SO sorry.
Got linkie to you your Ewan?
Always interested! Love me my Celtics!
Yep, they have put a few of my friends in a Hospital Bed 24/7, in order to get the Baby closer to term. It was tough for the mothers but the alternative is much tougher.
i’ve been fair to middlin. fall has arrived up here. chilly nights — had my first below 40 the other night.
I’m still sobbing over the 5-0 shellacking my BoSox received tonite…! However, the Patsies are going down to my Broncs in Mile High on Sunday…
Another little bmw (to replace my almost 30 y/o one). Good looking and in great shape.
Messy deal (divorce, mechanics liens, etc) – won’t be done til it’s done.
Didn’t think it possible, but appears it may happen w/in my pitiful budget.
Aloha, CE…!
sounds perfect for ya sunny :) :) :)
If he does, it’s mutual :-)
Brrrr … Calgary is currently near 1 degree Fahrenheit !
Um … you do know that Cutler has left the Broncos, right ?
It’s a 7 game series, hoss.
I’m pullin for BoSox most all the way.
*G*
And fuck the fuckin Dodgers, BTW.
*G*
3-series or 5-series…?
BMW, 2002Tii.
One of the greats, back in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
Two door, 4 speed.
HUGE suspension, and able cornering ability.
Monsters, they could easily outfoot the Datsun 1600’s, 1800’s and 510’s.
And most other Brit machines, too. *G*
Heh, Orton hasn’t thrown an int yet, and the “D” is back in Denver…! ;-0
Sounds good, Suz. We’ve cooled off down here, too. Night times are getting to high 50s, and we’re seeing some rain.
WHAT!?
Is this Cutler’s Last Stand?
True, add Snow/cold to the mix and it could be quite a game …
my mom said the phoenix area was cooling down in the the 80’s and 90’s in the days now. said she is getting great sleeping weather at night.
My Niner’s are back hoss! BEWARE!!! *G*
Come again…? It’s a 5-game series with 3 played in L.A…!
its superbowl time already? dang
Dude, thought they went to 7 games, for all playoffs?
I’m with you there, pal
hey pun – how ya been?
Larue !
The 2002 was one of the best cars ever made !
Not for the first round of the Divisionals… All the others are 7 game series…
It should be interesting to see how long it takes for Crabtree to get up to snuff…!
hey Suz – biz-wise, on eggshells,. otherwise fine.
Dang CT, I SWEAR I thought they went to 7 games.
The Proof
Yer right . . . sigh.
eggshells suck — lived on em when i was selling the cottage. fingers and toes crossed things improve.
*G*
Punaise !
That’s a familiar place for many of us … living on eggshells.
This too shall pass …
I sat and DROVE a few of them older one’s, as we got too stoned and I had to drive.
Back in the late 60’s and early 70’s, headed up to Palace Of Cows, Great American Music Hall, and Fillmore, and old Winterland.
My buddy, who OWNED them cars, wrecked THREE of them before we turned 21.
I was lucky, never in HIS wrecks!!! *G*
Great cars. Have NO clue about later versions.
You liked, huh?
wi11im t3ll!!!111
I recall your tribulations.
the fabled recovery has yet to grace the bay area residential construction market…
hey tw3k – i think i could read that :)
Best of luck, Pun Meister…! *g*
325 to replace a 320. Right size for me.
hey Petro – I’m working on a proposal right now!
“mahalo grande” as my CA-raised bro used to say when he lived in HI
double crap
all of callyfornee is hurting
lol :)
Yep, but I was a passenger. My Uncle fancied himself as a Race Car Driver and would make his 2002 zip through traffic, much to the delight of us young ‘uns.

Harumph! ;-)
Fer cryin out loud, publish that shit in Engrish, will ya?
*G*
Heh, a Kama’aina would look at him if he said that…! ;-)
Excellent ! Hands on your Monitors, folks … let’s send some good vibes to Punaise …
OHHMMMMMMMMM !!!
Saw a couple at a show recently. Very proud owners.
Yep, as if having Bush wasn’t bad enough, they went and elected Ahnuld again …
the old 2002s had an Achilles heal: the two-piece driveshaft with a rubber donut connector thingamajigee that tended to wear out and flap around when engaging gears.
Great little cars, and long lasting, if ya didn’t burn them out.
BMW cars and motociccles are da bomb, then, and now.
Last FOREVER, for the $.
Maybe he’ll see the light like Brandon Marshall did for Denver… He was nicknamed “mini-T.O.” and not for his talents on the field…!
thx Petro…
ducking offline now
g’nite pun – fingers and toes crossed
Is that Romulan ?
Aloha, pun…!
Easily replaced, I heard, if one had the money to do so . . . . ;-)
A dick is a dick is a dick . . . *G*
Crabtree would be stupid to try and make Mike Singletary look bad. Singletary commands too much respect and the entire Niners’ team will smack Crabtree around if he tries to upstage the Coach.
My Uncle knew how to shift without engaging the clutch … did it with his Datsun as well. He never showed us how to do that …
must be some racing trick or something
Hey folks I put up a diary that mommybrain asked me to write.
How to Kick Tea Bagging Sponsors in the Wallet And Mess up their Media Coverage
Check it out.
*G*
I got, at age 15, a Volvo, B-16, 122S.
A ‘61.
Four door sedan. Not the turtleback.
I wasted a few, but hey, I knew how to DRIVE them, at least . . LOL
wow – that is an excellent how to diary spocko – recommended.
Not really, you rev up the motor, and work the gear shift for tension, and jam it home when ya let off the gas for a moment.
If done well, gears change! *G*
If not, well, clutch, motor and tranny all might suffer . . . lol
Walk dogs at the animal shelter on Mon, Wed, Fri. Tuesday, Bella, a brindle pit, who always liked to roll around in the grass, attacked her cellmate. They are a very good football team.
oh dayam.
hey newton – i don’t mind sports talk at all — off topic is what we do here in the dark :)
Twitter is following NASA’s bombing, but, NASA’s giving erroneous info that they’re gonna show live pics from Gemini shortly… The dome’s not even open and they’re not sure if they’re even gonna be able to open it for it…! Hello…?
Appreciate it!
But with Larue and me and if ThatGuy joins in, it would be Niners til 330am…
they have more than one scope looking tho right?
I’ll get some licks in too…! Howzit, Newt…! ;-)
there is some rule against that???
Every dome is closed because of the precipitation and high humidity…! Mother Nature’s saying not here, not now…!
tuttle!
but there are other locations that are also looking?
Thanks, I spent a lot of time on it, I want to help others do what I did in SF. I’ve been hoping a group or George Soros would swooping down to hire me or fund me to do this work, but they haven’t. I agree! Best Bay Area Team in all sports for a LONG time!
I’m hopeful! *G*
tis very logical spocko. i found it taught me things i would not have thought of — such as contacting the da.
Gemini South which is in the Peruvian Andes…! ;-)
whew.. wudda sucked if they bombed the moon and had no record of it
Did ya see Tex Bets’ post on it…? ;-)
i hadn’t — thanks ct
Thank you so much for what you do. We’ve only gotten rescue dogs since I can remember.
Hi everyone, don’t know who is awake but have news.
I was admitted to inpatient hospice the other day and really happy I did.
Let’s just thing about this.
The moon’s smaller than earth.
ONE PERCENT! Out of orbit!
What does that mean to life on earth?
I hear NOTHING, NOTHING, about that.
One percent. One bomb. One orbit.
What change results?
??????? *G*
hey katy — glad you are feeling better
Oh Katy, is this what it seems to mean?
The explosion is estimated to be equivalent to 1.5 tons of tnt…! ;-)
Uh, inpatient hospice?
I’m not sure that’s good . . .?
So you’re not at home anymore…?
Yeah, so . . . . can this trigger an episode greater than the tonne’s of bombing we are throwing at it?
Can it dislodge by ONE PERCENT, the rotation of the moon?
One percent?
Or even .025 percent?
And can that change life on earth?
I think NASA is nucking futz for doin this . . . in case you or others didn’t get my drift. *G*
The astro-dude KO had on tonight said that the impacts the Moon receives regularly every month – several he said – are significantly bigger that our little rocket. He did not seem at all worried.
Here’s Nasa bragging about it all and the Gemini dome’s still closed…
I’m outta here, god bless KatyMine . . . for a bizallion years.
Wishing ya well . . . and thanks for sharin your trials and tribulations with us all.
Bless ya, Katy . . . now and forever.
Namaste, gal.
g’nite larue
she’s feeling good about the decision is how i read it larue
Aloha, ya old fart…! ;-)
Dang they’re sending me out now… I guess I stand corrected…! ;-)
larue, I’ve had two good nights, only on oral meds and O2. Elmore can travel without worrying and I get the best back rubs everrrrr
in today’s world of hospice, they do ask that I not seek treatment but now that I have had the morphine and oxygen I feel so much better. when I get stronger, I could go back home and try it. headed off the mt? g’nite ct – twas great seeing ya again
so its like respite care for you and yours katy. a place to take a breather, so to speak.
Not yet… They want me to spot for a spell… How long we shall see…! ;-)
they still must have hope the clouds will part and the sky is revealed
That’s so sad. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t provide another animal a home, but I always buy 2x animal food. Half for home and half for animeals charity. I learned many donors stipulate food for meals on wheels, which is certainly worthwhile, but knowing that, I now stipulate it for the shelters.

I’m happy really I am.

Sweet katymine…all the best. Hugs and smiles.
hey loohoo — how’s socal tonight?
Hey Suz. Temperature is perfect. Cooling, but still not wet.
How’s about you?
(((katymine))) you are an inspiration.
Excellent you’ve got your computer connection and can stay in touch. Backrubs are a very good thing.
no rain all this week. cooler a wee bit each day and down into the 30’s some nights now. supposed to rain next week — weather dood said something about getting some of that moisture coming across the pacific from that japan typhoon or something.
you’re happy, then we are happy.

Oh, boy! Sounds coolish to me!
It is nice to be in autumn though.
sunsets are getting more colorful now — and there is the start of the fall color going on. should be at its peak in about 2 weeks according to the guy on tv.
Katy, you have friends here 24/7.
You want to talk, we’ll listen.
Well, I found out the scoop… UH’s 88 inch telescope is filming it for NASA and NASA’s Gemini is doing the spectroanalysis of the impact and sadly, it still looks like we’re getting the heave-ho… Btw, the moonrise here was spectacular… It looked like a sunset with the vermillion colors…!
thats for the scoop dood and sorry about the heave ho :(
ya gotta start taking a camera up there with ya dood
I’ll second that notion…! ;-)
CTuttle! How’s life these days? Moonrise sounds spectacular!
Heh, I still have to get one…! ;-)
Suz, I tried to comment on your blog. Beautiful picture, must be a wonderful place to live.
Could always be better… But, doing alright… *g*
try commenting under the annonymous and typing loohoo in the comment itself.
it is lovely. winters are not for the faint of heart but the storms have their own beauty. i am very lucky here and it would be perfect if it wasn’t for the being up on the second story part.
Dang, Suz… Don’t bogart that joint, eh…? You…? ;-)
dood – its little feat!!! and they morph into it from willin’.
Tuttle, are you now on a full time fast connection?
No luck. It kept giving me more codes to fill in…
Sadly, no…! I’ve got free wifi available, but, I still need to get my computer back from the shop…!
ugh.

holy moly – attaturk is upstairs. time flew tonight.
g’nite all and thank you for all the converations.

Aloha, Suz…! I’m scheduled to be up here Sat. nite…! ;-)
