Yesterday I was curious about the attacks on ACORN. Rawstory had found that O’Keefe is a serial racist. Pretend pimp, or maybe real pimp O’Keefe, has been protecting “white Culture” since he somehow got into college.

http://rawstory.com/2009/10/ac…..for-years/

A younger O’Keefe once held an “affirmative action bake sale” where he and other organizers sold baked goods for different prices based on the purchaser’s race. In other satirical stunts, he held meetings with Rutgers University officials asking them to ban Lucky Charms because he felt their symbols discriminated against Irish-Americans and made phone calls to Planned Parenthood asking them if he could donate money as long as it only went to abort black babies. After the conservative newspaper he founded at Rutgers University fired its faculty adviser, O’Keefe wrote in The Centurion that the former adviser had accused the publication of promoting “white hysteria.”

Hannah “Kenya” Giles is 20, the pretend prostitute, worked with James O’Keefe, the Pimp. Hannah works for Townhall. Hannah is an “aspiring” journalist. But Hanna herself seems to have got the idea of pretending and she called up racist O’Keefe. That is what she told Glenn Beck. There is an issue of legality with respect to these stings. Hanna and O’Keefe might be getting into something that they might regret. This is possible entrapment. GrievanceProject might know. It gives ACORN a possible legal defense assuming they need one. I think you are what you pretend to be. Perhaps I am wrong, again.

Hannah or Hanna’s father is a Christian, but not the tolerant type.

This edition of the coathanger court may well give us the total unleashing of corporate blowout campaigning for the rights of corporations to convert the economy to serfdom. It’s frightening.

Couple thoughts:

-A lot of the reporting on the recent U.S. deaths in Afghanistan mentions that McChrystal’s plan all along was to pull troops out of these dangerous outposts. Seems like spin to me. When did he come up with this plan? After 9 French soldiers were killed under similar circumstances last summer? It seems like big gambles and bravado moves are this General’s style, and he’s come up on the losing end a couple times before.

-Public option? “Remember, a public option is a relative term,” or so says Harry Reid. I can’t wait to see what they’re going to be calling a public option this week.

-MC Steele: One of the few people who actually knows the precise date in the future when he’s going to get fired (Weds 11/3/2010)

Over the weekend I saw a piece on Ayn Rand devotee Greenspan saying unemployment will exceed 10% while economic growth will be 3% in the 3rd quarter.

Economic growth = wealth accumulation

While unemployment figures are really closer to 20% the elites will see a 3% increase in their wealth.

Jobs? How are we going to put people to work when we can’t make anything that will be able to compete in the global market? We can’t build our way out of a depression.

Good Morning Blue Texan and Firedogs -

via BT’s Rachel link, ab fab comment from a Kossack:

Let’s see

Here’s what these people have rooted against so far:

Bill Clinton freeing American journalists from North Korea
Marines rescuing Americans from Somali pirates
Rescuing American automobile manufacturers
Health care for all Americans
An American city hosting the Olympics

Can we call them anti-American yet ?

I liked the one from the guy who goes to the Nite Owl coffee shop.

The haters didn’t poll too well at the Nite Owl coffee shop yesterday and this morning. Although my poll is, as always, unscientific, it is conclusive: “Anybody against the Olympics is un-American.”

The White House remains sensitive about being viewed as dictating what lawmakers should do.

Cheney/Bush never had a problem with this and that is why they were able to steamroller Congress and get whatever they wanted when they had the majority.

I see that this year’s Nobels are now being awarded with the Peace Prize expected to be announced nlt this thursday – in my perfect world it would go to ACORN – although I was pleasantly stunned to see Mordechai Vanunu was finally an official nominee – oh dear god, that would be the mother of all hissy fits – Kristol would order the bombing of Oslo to commence immediately

don’t recall them having any concern about “dictating” with the Bailout

“In a sign of their determination to reconcile the differences between the Senate bill and the $820 billion House version swiftly, the White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, and the budget director, Peter R. Orszag, huddled at the Capitol on Tuesday evening with Speaker Nancy Pelosi; the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada; and other lawmakers….

“As lawmakers meet to reconcile the House and Senate versions of the legislation, the White House’s effort to reshape it is leading to skirmishes among House and Senate Democrats, as well as with the moderate Republicans and Democrats who pushed to cut the size of the original Senate package….

From MSNBC:

Even as layoffs persist, good jobs go begging

“Good” jobs is defined as $55K+benefits for engineers, energy researchers and RNs. Funny thing is those all require degrees and years of experience, but they want to pay about a third less than the going rate. This looks to me like more of the same old push for easing up on the H1-B and L1 visa restrictions. The old “I can’t get domestic folks to work for crap wages, so I’ll just ask to bring in someone from overseas to do it for the same crap wages, and all will be good.” nonsense. Why is it that competition that brings wages down is all good to them, but competition that pushes wages up is cause for bringing in people from overseas?

Please understand that I don’t have a problem with immigrants at all. I think they enrich our culture and bring quite a bit to the table. It just upsets me that I am (and others like me are) forced to compete with people coming here on H1-B visas whenever domestic employers choose (just fill out this form saying you can’t find the workers here), and get government subsidies to bring someone over, instead of paying good wages for people that are already here, already experienced and already able to do the job, but want to make a decent living at what they do. The truth is that there are many people who can do those jobs, they just aren’t willing to do them for the crap wages that are being offered.

Within days of the announcement of a record 205 nominations for 2009’s Nobel Peace Prize, Mordechai Vanunu-who has been nominated annually since 1987- declined the honor in a letter to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee in Oslo:

“I am asking the committee to remove my name from the nominations…I cannot be part of a list of laureates that includes Simon Peres…Peres established and developed the atomic weapon program in Dimona in Israel…Peres was the man who ordered [my] kidnapping…he continues to oppose my freedom and release…WHAT I WANT IS FREEDOM AND ONLY FREEDOM….FREEDOM AND ONLY FREEDOM I NEED NOW.”
