200px-Bobby_Jindal%2C_official_109th_Congressional_photo.jpgIn today’s WaPost, Kenneth Jindal writes,

Democratic plans for a government takeover are passé. The people don’t want it. Believe the polls, the town halls, the voters. [...] Washington is the only place in the country that doesn’t realize that this debate is over. Democrats may march forward anyway, but they will do so without the people, and at their own peril.

Since Kenneth instructs us to "believe the polls", let’s take a look at them.

Here’s the latest on the government takeover public option.

So only 65% of the American people want a government takeover public option. It’ll be electoral suicide if the Democrats pass anything like that.

And here’s how many people trust Kenneth’s party on health care reform.

27%. A clear, indisputable sign that the American people yearn for more Republican ideas in the final bill.

Adds Kenneth,

The public is interested in solutions that will improve America’s health-care system, not dismantle it.

I don’t know what "public" he’s referring to, but the latest CBS/NYT poll shows that 68% surveyed want to "completely rebuild" or "fundamentally change" the current system.

I think Kenneth’s getting his polling numbers from Strategic Vision.
