Still the GOP can’t even fantasize about winning elections now so they dream of Glen Beck’s 2,3 ? million person audience rising up to take back the country from the majority.
The GOP hopes the economy fails but then blames Obama for taking over the banks and GM even though according to their logic a government take over should cause the economy to get worse which would lead to a GOP return to power.
The GOP hopes for a terror attack so they can keep fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan…never mind Ossama is in Pakistan and Bush left him there while wasting our time in Iraq.

I’m not so worried about an actual coup, as I am worried about an actual “outbreak of hostilities.”

What I mean by that is I don’t think the military, in numbers needed, would go along. But I do worry what happens when one or two or three do try something, perhaps something violent.

Then are the right wingers going to finally denounce it as having gone too far, or will they once again rally to their side as they did in the Joe Wilson example. Because it’s little things like that, that then in the political discourse leads to bigger things, that have led to REAL PROBLEMS in the past.

But I did send a note to the radio industry insiders who were honoring him and asked them to notice the violent rhetoric coming out of KSFO and to question their role in the increase of violent attacks on people who don’t share their views.

I remember well what I thought when he told a Saturday morning crowd in Missouri last June that he was for expanding Bush’s Faith-Based initiative – head exploded.

Oh well, as I suspected, after doing some research (albeit admittedly “teh Google” research), it appears most of this follows under “free speech” and is therefore not illegal.

I understand that. And on many levels agree with that.

Yet I still can’t get it out of my imagination what would’ve happened had that same NewsMax column been printed in 2006 under HuffPo suggesting the military should consider a coup instead of contintuing a failed war in Iraq.

All in all the Tea Baggers and the Right Wing Media by advocating violence and hate are scaring off Moderates and Minorities and Non Racists.
The Public in general are paying attention to the issues and they see the link between GOP/Tea Bagger hate speech and shootings ( I would love some polling on this).
The GOP/Tea Baggers are lying about Obama Healthcare etc and its obvious no Reagan Code words to hide that fact does lying weaken the GOP’s case in voters minds yes, how many voters think the GOP is lying more than they used to, How many voters are less likely to support an issue that they know one side lied about? (Again we need polling on this)
Any cause the Crazy advocate gets tainted I see the country going more Left the longer the Healthcare debate goes on.
Heck the more Left Obama goes like hopefully ending the wars the more Crazy the GOP the more they scare off Voters.
But the key is a long campaign to educate voters on the issues and give the GOP Crazy response time to sink in to the public.

We need to get the level of emotion and regular voter interest high enough on the issues that regular voters feel they have to educate themselves by hearing both sides to the argument.
Between Google making research easy and Lefty Blogs providing a fact base placed to discuss and develop these ideas we create more informed voters.

Because Obama truly believes single-payer is the better way to go.
If he truly believed in a public option he would fight for it and get it.

It’s not just that I disagree with their opposition to the public option. It’s that Americans, even Republicans, deserve far better representation than these idiots and liars.

Sen. Crapo: How much will the Rockefeller amendment save?
Staffer: about $400 Billion dollars.
Sen. Crap: I’m against that.

Sen. Ensign: I’m against any public option and since there’s one in the House bill I’m against all health reform because we might get the public option in the final bill and then in some future Congress it might get changed.

Geez, I think Ensign and Conrad were working together slapping one another’s back.

Sen. Grassley: smiling and laughing while Jay Rockefeller said there were uninsured kids in WV and people going bankrupt because of healthcare bills. The people of Iowa ought to run him out of the state, though I’d hate to see another state have to take him in.

Sen. Kyl: But but state health insurance commissioners will make it work.
Sen. Cantwell: Prices have gone up over 100% in 10 years because they didn’t.
Sen. Kyl: *crickets*

The Republicans know the public option will work and save a lot of money.
They clearly oppose it because they don’t want the public to like Dems.
Sen. Ensign said they didn’t want this new entitlement to have a constituency.
They clearly oppose it because they would rather destroy America than to let Dems govern.

The Republicans aren’t representing the needs of their entire states, just a handful of special interests called The Rich. Or as George W. Bush called them, the Haves-and-Have-Mores, His Base.

OTOH, they also made it clear that anything government creates can get changed and grow into a monster which can’t be killed. I suppose they would love for their “defense” projects to be killed off because they have a constituency and cost more than originally projected. Well, they did complain Obama hasn’t really cut much of anything significant. Maybe now’s the time.

the white van has moved off my tubes. not sure how they zapped both the cable modem and the router but both died mon nite at 8:15 pacific. took 3 hours this morning along with 3 separate calls to tech support to get the new cable modem up and running.

lurk did a great job (and i have to admit my shoes make lurk’s legs look good). i’m not going to say one word about the chocolate pudding splattered on the walls.
