I think Huckabee knows he will never be elected president, & he’s just playing to his “base”. Probably helps him in future book sales, paid speech opportunities for the far right, etc.

I have a better idea. How about if we send Huckabee to Riyadh? He can air his program on Saudi TV.

I feel a little bit bad for the Republican Party.

The leadership looks childish and lost. Not one among its ranks – not Jindal the Clown or Gingrich the Snake – appears to have any good ideas, as is obvious from the fear-mongering and anger-stoking that they’ve been doing for the past few months. When all else fails, they go back to their old tricks. It’s pathetic.

And as the base of the Republican Party is getting smaller and smaller, those in its ranks get louder and more virulent. I’m sorry, but you just can’t overcompensate for your smallness by yelling like crazy people. Face it, whining about teabags isn’t going to expand the base.
