Hola, Suz
Hola, NDFG
Hello, ello, lo, lo…
FunnyWheelieDiva
Excellent choice ! Don’t tell DB I said that … *g*
hey funny – how’s seattle tonight?
hey pet – i think its ok since db did recommend it :)
*waves at funny*
He’ll say if I like it, it’s prolly not that good ! *g*
Hiya funny !
hey funny.
canadian cross coast rivalry?
hey sunny – how ya doing tonight?
speaking of cross canadian…. ragweed style
You don’t know the half of it … those boobs on the West Coast think they’re the best city in Canada … just cuz they are ! *g*
Hey, Suz
I’m dead tired. Thought my purse had been picked up and spirited away while I was shoppin’ at my favorite JoAnn. Retraced my steps, like 6 times, then wandered the strip mall checking the trash cans.
Aaaand in the meantime, someone had handed it in and locked it up at the counter. I finally got lucky and asked the right person…guess she’d been at lunch when I asked them to look for it.
Anyway, it’s back, completely intact.
But between the hiking around, the adrenaline and the relief, I’m beat!
Oh…and I didn’t get that job, either. STINK!
FWDiva
love it!
{{{ funny }}} that adds up to a miserable day.
oh crap and double crap funny
(((funny)))
kpig plays it a lot during their 4:20 ‘tribute’ each day
G’nite kids
– do you think DB related to Screwy Squirrel or Meathead in that one? – aHAHAha
g’nite ellie
screwy – most definately screwy
(((funnywheeliediva)))
NDFG, you mentioned berries. I got some razors that were berry-scented, and now we have ants in the bathroom. I’ve put the razors on the back porch. (Who knew they made berry-scented razors anyway?)
ROFL … G’nite Elliott, G’nite all !
hey margot – how’s ohio tonight?
which i could stream, but it’s during the hectic shift turnover time at work *sniffles in self pity*
((Funny))
gah. i HATE scented plastics. They sure don’t smell like what aroma they claim. Instant headache time for moi. Did the razor kill the ants with the fumes?
:( i miss being able to tune it in as a local station. the radio stations here on the coast are:
1. easy listening
2. country
3. easy listening
such diversity on the airways (/sarcasm)
g’night petro!
margot spread some coffee grounds around where they are getting in — they h-a-t-e to walk through coffee grounds.
spidey told me about that back when i had ants at the cottage and it forking worked – no more ants (always helpful when selling)
g’nite petro
Suze – Boot Liquor Radio
Not local but it’s good stuff.
hey that guy – how ya doing? thanks for the radio link. all kinda radio stations in the portland area but dayam near zilch here on teh coast.
Thanks.
I’ve had a week to get used to the job thing, but thinking my purse had been lifted…and me with no keys, no phone, no money, nada; that seriously sucked.
But it’s OK now. cheeburgie and a brew for dinner and some TV…feeling much better.
How’s everyone these days?
FWDiva
critters are doing well. token (and i) had our first oysterfest today. landlords invited me (ohmystars was it good). token was disappointed it was not a bbq – i think he was expecting steak and chicken.
ground cinnamon. They also dislike ground cinnamon. And boiling water kills ‘em, too.
FWDiva
i would totally panic if i lost my purse
tis spider season — everytime i take down a spiderweb, two pop up in its place. the local newspaper’s garden column was predicting an early and hard fall based on the spiders and other folk signs.
I think I may have a topic for a diary. I need some colorful phrases and thought of calling our new world order ruling class, “HIDDEN JUNTA OF BLOOD SUCKING NEO-CON OVERLORDS”. I can call their corporate shell game of companies, “A MULTI LAYERED FINANCIAL WEB OF CONCEALED CONGLOMERATES OWNED BY EVEN MORE SECRETIVE BILLIONAIRE PUPPET MASTERS”. But I cannot keep repeating these same names. So if anyone has other equivalent descriptions, that would be helpful.
Buenos Noches from an undisclosed location puppies.
Y’all having a nice evening?
Busted!
hey frank – fuckers is what i call em but it would be bad form to do that in the title.
remember, no all caps when composing the diary (including no all caps in the title).
hmmmm blood sucking corporate vampires?
Suz, I had no ants this summer, nada, because I put pieces of Dr. someone’s peppermint soap all around the house. Kitchen, bathroom, etc. They hate peppermint.
They must luvvv berries, because it didn’t take them but one day to get in. I am not sure where they’re coming in, I only see them in the bathroom.
busted! smooch – how ya doing babe?
Stock up on stove wood and buy a new fluffy robe and slippers!
Is token back to munching Pupperoni now?
FWDiva
betcha they are coming up the drain pipe or from behind the switch plate.
Much better, thanks.
Oh good, i like cinnamon sprinkled around better than coffee grounds.
Busted, where you been? Er never mind, How have you been?
token is allowed one per day — that dreaded diet thingie
wood guy delivered some today and is gonna bring more next weekend. supposed to rain most of this week. we were talking about stocking up this afternoon when he was here.
i have a warm warm robe npb gave me when i moved. am gonna have to get some new warm slippers – mine are getting pretty ragged looking.
Nachos? You have nachos?!
Those go with beer!
FWDiva
hey, busted…
gee busted, that smile shines right through the tubes
No nachos, had a giant rib fest tonight though, food coma style. YUM!
Land’s End does good slippers.
I got good bootie ones from Rite Aid last fall/winter. inexpensive, synthe-beast, but they’re warm and have a rubber sole so that I could go get the paper or take out the trash if I wanted…
FWDiva
Well, gotta go. ;)
Be good.
g’thud busted – enjoy that full belly
funny – we don’t have a rite aid here. gonna have to check freddies
I’m ok. How are you and your livestock?
critters are good
i put up a new pic of bailey cat at my place yesterday
berry scented razors… that attract ants….. hmmmm.
It’s the only explanation I could come up with.
Conseratives: Skip Flu Shots. Gateway to ObamaCare
This just in!
Be sure to ask your conservative friends if they are going to reject their socialized medicine flu shot.
But seriously folks, flu shots are an opportunity to point out something organized by the government for the greater good of everyone in the US. And it works. This is a public health issue that conseratives might be able grasp, so you might use it as a down home example of health care that the government is involved with that is not like the DMV. I created this for my blog, Spocko’s Brain
http://www.spockosbrain.com/20…..gateway-to
hey spocko – how ya been?
she sure is a handsome critter.
FWDiva
Why is there such a thing? I can kinda imagine scented Barbie gear, but past that…
she’s real camera shy funny – just as she is around people
Heya Pups! *waves*
Just catching up.
1) GREAT toon, Suz!
2) Boot Liquor Radio. From SOMA, SF. Online. Been listening since go turned on to it in ‘02 or so?
3) Ummmm Rib Fest! Bastid, he is to mention it and run off. Glad he’s got the bug whupped, though.
4) Spiders. Had some early spring, April and May. Widow’s and Brown Recluse, but not much since. All of a sudden, past two weeks, the daddy long legs are all OVER the back porch ceiling. More than I’ve ever seen!
Go figger, huh?
lol, too bizarre.
hey larue – per the gardening lady that means you are gonna have an early and hard fall.
glad ya liked the toon dood
what i hate are scented plastic trash bags. blech.
Everything has to be scented these days, it seems.
And whoever came up with “renewing scent pearls” needs to be taken out and…have something bad happen to them. Too damn much fragrance in everything.
FWDiva
the fake scented stuff is horrible. scented garbage bags just make the garbage smell more offensive to me. i do wonder if those odor eater garbage bags i’ve seen advertised recently are any decent or just another rippoff.
evening, firehoundbogs
I’m in a quandary. I”m trying to decide on how to push a story. I know how the media loves and X vs. Y story and I can give them one, but I don’t know I have enough meat under the story. Unlike the right I like to have more than just a hissy fit.
One of the talk radio hosts at KSFO is getting an award next week. He will be in town (he is usually in Arizona) And the will induct him into the Radio Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
It’s a private group, they have a right to honor whomever the want, but it galls me. I’m trying to figure out the media response if I do something.
I’ve got some ideas, to do something like Code Pink, but that puts me in the position of being the spoilsport. I keep thinking on how to flip this. I don’t really want to arrested, but that would make for some good video.
Well, we could use the rain, that’s for sure.
So could SoCal.
hey ppd – how ya doing tonight dood?
DOin ok. I was beat last night. Fell asleep on our couch which is new to us and very comfy for sleeping. Then woke up with all lights on, shut everything down and went to bed proper.
Haven’t fallen asleep on a couch like that in a long time. Was real nice.
That cartoon reminds me of the relationship between eastern and western Canada, for some reason.
;>)
Oh, and scented cat litter. WTF is that?!!
I prefer the silica gel stuff, myself. Sucks the stinky right up.
FWDiva
Who’s the awardee?
hmmm *putting on thinking cap* geez, i dunno…. twould be worth getting some video to put up to show what they are like behind closed doors…
hey db – i told everyone in the previous thread that you had recommended tonight’s toon — some were very cautious about watching it :)
that guy – i had a sofa that was a forking time machine – dayam near everytime i sat down on it, i woke up an hour or two later.
Timorous creatures – Not brave like we, Suz.
;>)
supposed to rain pretty much every day next week up here. looking forward to it
well you do have a reputation — for creating the need for brain bleach :)
A reputation? But I don’t even put out on the first…er…
;>)
Be glad you don’t live in the Northwest. Glenn Beck’s hometown is giving him the keys to the city.
Glad I don’t live in that county, but since it’s my part of western WA, it’s still damn embarassing.

Lee Rodgers:
Here is the post I wrote when they announced his honor. (link)
* Would you honor someone who called for the massacre of everyone in the nation of Israel?
Then why honor someone calling for the massacre of everyone in Iraq?
(Lee Rodger’s audio)
* Would you give a trophy to someone who said blacks should be hanging from lamp posts?
How big is the trophy for the person who said liberals should hang from lamp posts?
(Lee Rodger’s audio)
* Would you toast someone suggesting millions of Christians be killed?
What is your toast to the person suggesting millions of Muslims be killed?
(Lee Rodger’s audio)
Sure, it’s what DB does! *G*
But then, he runs one off like his Hippo Birdie To His Mom which just makes you remember, smile, and cry all at once. *G*
Yer a hoss, DB, thanks for all you do. *G*
dammit db fresh coffee all over the forking floor. thank goodness i missed token
Yep, Lee’s scum, he’s so bad even the ponds won’t have him.
Sigh, I recall decades ago when KSFO was a real radio station.
I lived in San Mateo for a long time till ‘88.
Sad.
Is it a Clear Channel station these days? Forgotten who owns it anymore.
has been getting news coverage down here about the city council vote to disassociate from the mayor over that slimebag.
judas priest spocko – they are giving that fucker an award? for what best hate speech? most racist?
Glad you enjoyed it, Larue. If not for Mom, I’d be looking at my thumb and saying ‘Gee, I’m dumb’. More regularly.
;>)
Look? ;)
Yep here’s the link
Can’t imagine how I’ve missed scented plastic.. Sounds truly vile, particularly fruit scents. Most of my household supply junk comes from Dollar Tree, perhaps it hasn’t penetrated that low in the market yet.
the bay area radio hall of fame — they shame themselves with that nomination
did he have his minions stuff the ballot box?
Oh, just the occasional glance now and then.
;>)
KSFO is owned by KGO who is owned by ABC Radio who is owned by Citadel Broadcasting. Disney owns 57 percent of Citadel Broadcasting.
Nice comment there Spocko, at the link . . . well done.
Trick here would be to get the first er…
anyone have any idea of how spocko could get some media attention to this hall of shame award?
Many have tried – to er is human, of course.
;>)
Thanks, Citadel is no champion of the people. But then, neither is Entercom, or any of the others left that are the biggies.
But Clear Channel is the biggest. Basically, they all suck, and it’s corporate radio, with investors and stockholders to appease.
Radio is a dying dinosaur and will soon suffer what newspapers are suffering. Lemme rephrase that, they already ARE suffering from lost listenership, lost ad revenues.
The large groups will be selling off stations in the near future, and at some point, will collapse.
Thru deregulation of ownership controls, and consolidation, and then elimination of staff, services, pre programmed and satellite distribution, syndication, and such, it has all fallen apart in quality, content, and diversity and variety.
They screwed themselves. And with the internet, and OTHER satellite programming, there are options for folks.
Like most media, the saddest part is in the news gathering and reporting.
There IS none . . . not even on NPR, anymore. Not REAL news.
Sigh.
spocko – have you thought about doing a diary about this – would let more people be aware of this insult to journalists.
Tough road to haul . . . the media protects itself.
Target sponsors, to get him OFF the air . . . *G*
It’s working with Beck and Dobbs. *G*
How’s the rest of that go?
“To sin is divine?”
Is it me?
This cartoon wasn’t funny.
It was more like todays arguments. Not funny and lacking.
Yeah, it’s just you.
sorry ya didn’t like it. i think it reflects the need for slapstick humor that many were looking for during ww2. many cartoons of that era are very similar.
and welcome to late late nite – don’t think i’ve seen your moniker before. if my memory is faulty and in error, nevermind (said in best emily) — no insult intended :)
What arguments? Where?
You heard about the school with the kids singing songs about Obama?
Lee Rodgers said that parents should do “what ever it takes to stop it” (audio link) And of course the principal got death threats. I’m sure it was Fox News listeners, but Rodgers has regularly called for the death of people who disagree with him.
Here he talks about hunting down and killing a Ron Paul emailer (link)
Rodgers really hates Muslims. Here he is last week talking about how the four terrorist plots busted all have one thing in common, Muslims. Listen to how he spits out the word. Combine that with his call for the genocide of the entire population of Iraq and what do you have (link)
Good idea I’ll see about that tomorrow. Thanks!
A Good Read On History Of WW2 And Toons.
Just sayin . . . . ;-)
Google reveals all. *G*
And supports yer posit, Suz. *G*
hiya suz – just fine, how are you?
glad i could help in a wee way spocko. that jerk belongs in the hall of shame – not the bay area radio hall of fame.
stitches are gone!!! mouth is still real tender but the constant irritation from those stitches poofed as soon as they fell out.
Now that’s assault with a loaded aphorism.
;>)
wow – i had never seen that before larue – thanks dood
brrrr 45 outside… hasn’t been that cold this early in the evening since spring. stove has it a toasty 75 inside. token hurried back inside after going out to save a tree
You are exactly correct. Citadel is on the verge of bankruptcy.
My goal since 2006 has been to look at ways to financially defund right wing corporate talk radio, to make the people who have the money turn their back on the right-wing radio hosts who talk about killing people on the air.
The violent rhetoric that Nancy Pelosi talks about doesn’t just come from crazy people handing out flyers, it is sanctioned on right wing corporate radio. And one thing I know about corporation is that they don’t like to lose money for long.
Melanie Morgan’s contract was not renewed because of the money KSFO lost in 2007. This is backed up by my reading of the Citadel Broadcasting financial documents. They can say that it was all just an overall move, but it was because they lost 28 advertisers in 2007.
(She moved to DC and is on a show with a Moonie Times “reporter”)
This year I convinced United Airlines, BA Jobs, Lifetime TV (project runway) and Beach Blanket Babylon to pull their ads from KSFO. But sadly they still have BMW, Mercedes and Wells Fargo Bank. It is like whack a mole with them because of the revolving doors at the companies and media buyers. I also found out that BBB didn’t even know they were buying ads on KSFO, they were slipped in on the traffic.
More Toon Analysis, All Disney, Alas.
There’s tons of stuff been written and analyzed about toons.
It’s a rich environment and subject, and ties in to history, cultural ideals and changes, and every fabric of our society.
Crazy Skwirrel And Bird Dog are no less instructional and insightful to who we are as a people in them times than Mickey Mouse, Wiley E Coyote And Roadrunner, or one of MY favs, Foghorn Leghorn and HIS crew. *G*
Suzanne’s work to bring us these 50-70 year old toons is a HUGE history lesson, and look, at our American Culture, then, and now.
That is, If one WANTS to seek, see, and learn.
Some, don’t.
They just want their country back. *G*
nite Suzanne, thanks for the hospitality. Excellent tomorrows for (((all the pups))).
I prefer a sea salt in my assault of all things sinful and divine in the kitchen. *G*
Stay tuned for my next book, “Cooking Nekkid With Larue!”
g’nite sunny
Yes MA’AM! Lots of good stuff out there, on cartoon analysis, and what it means culturally, politically, economically, and so on and on . . . . I did a decent term paper long ago on that subject for an Analysis Of Rhetoric class . . . *G*
I’d rewrite that sucker today, from start to finish, though, to include the demise of the artform, and forum, and why it’s been demised (hint, like newspapers and radio, deregulation).
the old looney toons and merrie melodie cartoons seem to have the majority of my fav’s. one of my first memories is watching crusader rabbit on the teevee. i grew up watching cartoons on teevee and at the movies. they are as much as part of me as music and comfort food are.
Hey!
After your late night treatise on chicken stock last night, I have one recommendation – Cooking Nekkid (ok, an apron) With Larue!.
Spocko,
Citadel and Clear Channel are why i hardly listen to the radio anymore. If it i do, it’s one of the rare stations unowned by either of them. It’s also why i’m a streaming DJ online. It allows for radio to be the way it used to be. DJs and listeners picking the music, interacting and generally doing things the old way. It’s my ‘moonlighting’ job while i work in the pharmacy most of the week. I try to do at least 1 shift every couple of weeks or more. I have two this week, counting tomorrow evening’s shift.
I’m pretty sure i’m not the only one who’s migrated away from regular radio. There’s nothing worth listening to there.
Sounds steamy. I’ll give it a read while I’m waiting for Spider-Pope to appear in the Big Apple skies.
;>)
hey newton – how ya doing dood?
hey alias – how goes?
Hi Suz. I’m great, playing with some special video.
The William Tell Overture in the ‘toon tonight got me thinking…
rubbing hands together gleefully newton – can’t wait to see it
I have heard many versions, but there’s this one in particular that I like. Took me some time to get it into shape to post it. But this is pretty good.
Fairly well. Working to star filing for bankruptcy. I’ll be able to pay the lawyer off by installment. Other than that, adjusting to working both pharmacy and with my radio station again. I missed spinning so much while i was without a home connection!
crap but… it is what you gotta do and i’m glad you have a lawyer that will work with ya on the fee.
in trying times, i always fall back on the things that soothe me by distracting me. music has always been one of those things. i’m glad you are back to spinning again :)
Spocko, I spent 7 years in radio/tv with NPR/PBS in San Mateo at the college stations.
And then, I did another 6 years in Spanish Radio, for profit. Learnt all ABOUT how groups are built up, cutbacks enabled for efficiency of the books, how the books and sales are doctored, how the group is expanded, and all built up on a pyramid of paper to be sold to the next bidder.
Cuz that’s what it is. A never ending game of buy small, get bigger, and sell for profits.
Ya see, as you likely know, unlike real estate home values that have PLUMMETED after obscene and propped up growth, radio transmitters and their licenses NEVER depreciate. So it’s been a golden goose since dereg for lots of folks to buy up it all, and do the above.
But now, with the economy in a tank, with a general loss of interest in LISTENING to terra based radio, with declining advertisers and listenership, with INCREASING competition from the internet based listening options and satellite listening options, we ARE seeing some stations become heavy weight and baggage, and sold off.
And that trend is gonna get heavier and heavier. And deeper and deeper into the groups with the stations.
Prices will come down, for stations. And THAT will be the first time since 1909, when KCBS was launched in San Jose, the FIRST station on the air in the USA. Maybe the world? Forget my media history . . lol
I’ll wrap up this ramble with this:
Radio worked and will work, when it’s LOCAL, funded locally, and operated and maintained locally, for local listeners and advertisers.
The bankruptcy of America is leading us BACK, to those fundamentals of radio, tv, and other forms of media.
And, our bankruptcy (due to corruption and greed) is also leading to the GLOBAL development of web communities that themselves then become BEHOLDEN to the same principles. Serve the community, serve the listeners, serve the advertisers.
Life is simple, but they fucked it up with Ronnie here in CA for 8 years, then 8 more at the national level.
And deregulation of our lives has fucked us so bad I’m not sure we can fix the grip the 1% have on it all with just technology and innovations.
It will take people, to complain, and act, and deny advertisers their patronage, and more, to win the big one.
And now, time to refill my Merlot, and think about another topic to go off on.
Sorry pups, if I wandered and went long . . . I just DO that, ya know. ;-)
Damn.
Good luck with it, alias.
now now larue – off topic is the topic on late late nites… rants are welcomed (pouring more merlot in your glass)
Yer killin me . . *G*
I have written, over the past year or more, quite a few Foodie Friday’s for Betsy at her place.
I started out describing basic kitchen processes used in restaurants and hotels for cooking from scratch.
Making stocks, and the many stocks there are, and how to make sauces from them stocks took up a good 10 or more posts, and I had a BALL doing it. *G*
Anything ya wanna know about roasting bones, veggies, or making clear or vegan stocks, you ask anytime.
I LOVE chatting about cooking processes . . . . but there’s stuff out there now, I know NOTHING about.
Wierd science and gadgets for infusions, and all that. Ingredients I’ve never heard of, being used in COCKTAILS!
Foam. I have NO clue what this foam fad is being used on foods . . . but it’s HUGE! LOL
And yer killin me with the Cookin Nekkid, as I posted after you, about the VERY same subject, back to DB.
Or am I lost in Suz’s couch, and time traveling all the wrong ways?
Anyhoots, Mangiamo Dia Bono Madre Mia! *G*
This is the evil-good part:
It would never have occurred to me to roast chicken bones. But it makes perfect sense.
i love your foodie posts over at betsy’s dood. foodie fridays rock (and make me hungry)
All depends on what kind of stock you want at the end.
Dark, or clear!
I used to mix chicken bones and veal bones UNroasted, for a clear stock that was PRICELESS for certain suaces.
Sometimes, with enuff Merlot in me (thanks Suz, for the refill!), I wax nostalgia like, and THINK I fondly recall them little bubbles in the stock pots at 3am, when I have to be at work again at 9am. *G*
But them little bubbles, plop, plop ever SO slowly, are where the magic’s at.
REDUCTION!
I’ve been weak for the past few months. Ran out of memories to share, and personal recipes. It’s HARD doin it even only once a week, after a year . . . . . but thank you, I hope I HAVE made folks smile, given them stuff they CAN do in their own kitchens at home, and shared the so called ’secrets’ to good food, which are BASIC, and should NOT be hidden inside the industry.
BTW, any pups want ANY or all the linky’s to those posts at Betsy’s, I’ve saved them all.
Be delighted to email them to anyone, anytime . . . . there’s some good food in there! *G*
And while I’m at it, I want ALL folks to know, how indebted and a greatful I am to Betsy for LETTING me have a place at her blog, to do my food thing. She’s a delight, and helped me learn about blogging.
My praise of her place, of HER, and her big ass heart for us all knows no bounds. Bless her, for nurturing many of us, and me. *bows*
And of course, FDL has done the same for so many. So thanks to Mz. Hamsher, for the FIRST dairy innovation, and now, The Seminal. Nurture those who read . . . a great concept. Let the telling of story become one of your OWN story’s to tell. Brilliant. And appreciated. *bows*
my pleasure larue — the refill is worth it to hear ya talking foodie stuff dood
hell, i got a full bottle and the night is long :)
Wow, that took forever.
The William Tell Overture, as ‘performed’ by the Grimethorpe Colliery Band (not really), in the Movie “Brassed Off,” 1996
wow – special indeed dood
Heh, you night owl. We ain’t breakin no records tonite, are we . . LOL
But ALWAYS a delight to chat and swap fonts witcha! *G*
DAYUM!!!!! *EEKS*
“Hi Ho Silver!” Indeed!
Nice share, thanks!
Hey. I watched this weekend’s edition of Law and Order. Wow!
The file is so big that it’s still processing! It’s been about 20 minutes so far. I can’t believe it’s playing.
The upload is over 150mb for the 3:56. Wow.
hey wigwam – i watched it last night and was blown away. was like watching a marcy post on tv
So, watcha drinkin’? I’ve been sipping very cold Savignon Blanc from New Zealand, Kim Crawford to be specific.
The coronet solo at about one teens and one 20’s in set me outta my seat!
He was using his LIPS more than his fingers on the keys!!!
Freddie Hubbard, Diz, and even Mangione jumped into my head, and THEY never used that much lip action for that, erm, stacatto? Fast notes? WOW!
EXACTLY!
Hey, that was something. Bravo NBC.
OOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!
Sav Blanc, on of my FAV kitchen wines, for me and for the pots and pans!!! *G*
i’m drinking my usual coffee. the bottle is merlot for refilling larue’s glass. he’s talking foodie
What was the topic, WigWam?
I kind of understand what that meant, but not having any horn in me, it’s a limited understanding.
I’m know many of them are actors, but that guy – had to be a musician.
But, “friends don’t let friends drink merlot.” Sigh.
I and some of my best friends drink merlot. IMHO, you can get better merlot for less money than just about any other good red wine.
They crucified John Yoo and Dick Cheney.
How good can a Saturday night get?
larue – marcy did a post about it
Exactly. And that was what induced me to seek it out and watch it tonight.
I’ve been super busy this week and have failed to keep up on the health-care battles.
Yesterday, I read something to the effect that the Finance Committee Dems voted to back Obama’s sell-out to Pharma. Is that so?
Now THAT’S Special! *G*
In the markup – I don’t remember what day it was… Wednesday perhaps – Schumer (and some other Dems) backed an idea that doubled what PHarma would have to kick in to keep the deal alive – 160 billion instead of the 80. But I don’t know what came of it.
Phookin wow. Thanks for linky.
I think that what I heard was that they decided to be “honest politicians” and to “stay bought” at the original price. But I was in a hurry and didn’t check the source.
ok, nite you pups
IMHO, it’s great to have Dick Wolf on our side.
G’nite Newt.
g’nite newton
I’m bailin . . . this is now officially NIGHT OWL TURF!
I used to be good at it, but . . . . . alas, without a fest or camp jams, I tend to sleep earlier and wake earlier.
After all those years of night owlin, prowlin, and getting off work at 11 to hit The City, or getting off work at 3AM and crawlin home . . . . I’m no longer an official night owl.
It’s sad, really . . . . *G*
Nite Pups, thanks for your yelps!!! LOL
g’nite larue
time for me to head out myself. g’nite all and thank you for all the conversations tonight. much appreciated.
*poof*
G’nite everyone.
