BT, I’ll throw in one more link:
Paul Kane’s craptastic article in the Post on
the big fall-off of donations to the Dems.
Anger from the base is referred to in one sentence.
Unless you define the base as Goldman Sachs.
With Goldman Sachs as your base, who needs anyone else.
Only because it was read to me on Washington Journal, I see Brooks is hyping more war. I will not give WaPo any hits.
The quality of its advocates should tell us something about this Afghanistan great adventure.
I have gotten a lot of calls and mailings from the DCCC and other committees asking for money. I have told them that there was no way that I was going to donate money that could wind up in the coffers of Blue Dogs. I am not alone.
McChrystal’s gonna be on 60 minutes and WJ played a clip. He was asked outright why the U.S. is fighting in Afghanistan and he avoided answering the Q. That sez it all.
I looked for that interview on antiwar.com but couldn’t find it. Think the interviewee was female, and believe she’s coming out with a book titled something like “The Best Terrorists We Could Find,” but it must not be out yet as I can’t find it on amazon.
After our little chat yesterday I realized I’ve never studied the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in depth. Gonna hafta rectify that.
They are still after that axis of evil. Come on Obi get with the program!
So what’s Scar’s agenda? His calling Beck out can only be a good thing cuz Beck’ll just get crazier and crazier.
The FBI does not always have successful stings. Not sure the Blago thing is going to work out but there are many that do not rise to the level of public awareness.
Funny, how the right wing can’t use facts for making its case. Could this be why it’s all Big Lie technique these days?
Gotta get offline now for awhile, bbl.
Gen. McChrystal Warns Not to Take Too Long Debating Afghan Strategy
From antiwar.com
eCAHN, I wasn’t looking for whatever interview you were referencing @ 6, just scanning the site as usual.
A lot of stuff I pick up is from Scott Horton’s interviews on antiwar.com, so I can’t recommend a source for you, but let me know if you come up with something good. The interviews I listen to while riding my bicycle or doing outdoor work, so they disappear into the rathole of history except what I remember from them.
I’m off. BBL.
Be well.
Your comment downstairs about the terrorists going blond so as to not look Arab sure cracked me up. You should get a prized of sort for that.
They got a couple yesterday, one in Dallas and one in Ill.
Has your job at the gym now got you getting up at zero dark thirty to start the day off with a 5 mile run with a full pack and a good breakfast?
Hadn’t heard about one in Ill. Any linkies?
School bus picks my son up at 6 o’clock. I get up to keep him company and pretend to be a good mom. *g*
(actually, the gym opens at 5:30 am. thankfully, that’s someone else’s shift.)

Apparently they were unrelated, but they nabbed them at the same time so the other wouldn’t get cold feet.
Perhaps 2012 is his agenda
Translation, please?
“Oh, I see” is the easiest. Usually shortened by GIs to “Ah so.”
For Congress? Ho, boy.
How about this:
“Representative Murphy,
I am writing to get your response to the recent allegations made by an FBI whistle blower named Sibel Edmonds. She had been gagged since 2002 under the state secrets privilege from telling her story, but recently testified under oath in the Schmidt v. Krikorian case in Ohio. Also, see this week’s interview with her published in the American Conservative:
http://www.amconmag.com/article/2009/nov/01/00006/
Her story has also been covered extensively by Brad Friedman at http://www.bradblog.com.
The allegations are stunning: high level government officials selling national security secrets to Turkish and Israeli agents over a number of years, and helping those entities infiltrate U.S. nuclear laboratories. And these are only the worst of the many allegations she has made.
Edmonds has been deemed credible by everyone who has listened to her, including Senators Grassley and Leahy. And yet, there is no mainstream media coverage, and apparently nothing being done (or at least no public acknowledgment thereof) in Congress or the DoJ about this extremely serious matter.
Your web site says:
“I am proud to fight for openness and transparency in Washington, and I invite you to join my effort to restore accountability to Congress.”
I can’t think of a better way of demonstrating this than by pursuing these allegations and making an accounting to the American people. If Edmonds’ allegations are true, then it seems some established members of congress are too compromised to be trusted with this responsibility.
I have lost all trust in my federal government due to the disappearance of the rule of law over the past several years. In my cynical view, only the most heinous crimes, perpetrated by the people in the highest halls of power, are the ones we seem to tolerate, seemingly for political expediency. My greatest fear in regards to the Edmonds allegations is that the crimes continue, and that the very nuclear secrets that have been sold have found their way into Iran and North Korea, and that our government is using precisely that as an excuse for more saber rattling and aggression towards those regimes, resulting in more human suffering, misery, and endless feeding of the military industrial complex.
Please follow up on this, in a very public way.
Thanks you for your attention. “
For President! (dead intern in his office not withstanding)
and thanks for the info on “ah so” — verry interestink!
Morning all.
Thanks. Yep, my pop used to say that.
The U.S.,UK and French anouncement on the Iranian nuclear facility at the G20 is a smoke screen to divert our attention from the real agenda of the summit which is how the 20 biggest a**holes in the world are going to screw us in the neart future.
*snort* For Prez? You gotta be shittin’ me.
The expression is so desu ka, the ah is an add on, usually as a form of exclamation.

Finally a defense of ACORN. CNN this AM once again bashing them without all of the facts.

I liked the post at Huffington which made the point: if you are voting to defund ACORN why not vote to defund Blackwater?
One in FL too.
