My God, I forgot how good pure red meat is.

Picked up some tri tip steaks a while back, for $1.69 a lb.

Brought them home, trimmed all the fat off.

Froze them.

Thawed some tonight, and black panned them.

About 2″ thick pieces of 4-6 oz each.

Garlic, evoo, fresh fine dice rosemary, balsamic, worcestershire.

Half hour marinade. Room temp.

Remove and rub with sea salt and fresh ground black pepper.

Black pan up to hot, sear steaks on both sides for a perfect rare ‘black and blue’.

Clean white corn on the cob, into black pan, brushed with home made pesto and blackend slightly.

Damn, I LOVE them flavors.

My father died this year, in June, and I’ve been taking care of all things mother, and they were only a middle class family, but she’s got the best health care I think I’ve ever seen.

She’s on Medicare, but she has full supplemental. She has vision exams once a year, one pair of glasses once a year. Two dental exams a year. And about the only thing out of pocket she pays is for her prescriptions, and it’s about $4 for 90 days on a drug that I’d bet is $100 a month.

And her monthly premium??? Whatever Medicare Part B is. That’s it.

My father was an organizer for the UFCW, and retired from there. Unions take care of their people.

Too bad more Americans don’t feel the same way.

With his hyperbole already at psychotic levels, how does he maintain the constant need to escalate his outrageous behavior? At what point does Murdoch view Beck as a liability? Will it be before or after one of Beck’s tinfoil hat morons commits some act of violence?
