Obama isn’t even pretending to support Wall Street reform anymore. From Krugman’s column today:
“I was startled last week when Mr. Obama, in an interview with Bloomberg News, questioned the case for limiting financial-sector pay: ‘Why is it,’ he asked, ‘that we’re going to cap executive compensation for Wall Street bankers but not Silicon Valley entrepreneurs or N.F.L. football players?’”
Kurgman continues:
“…the administration has suffered more than it seems to realize from the perception that it’s giving taxpayers’ hard-earned money away to Wall Street..”

Bush recession still lingering.

Please. Nobody even remembers who Bush is anymore. *
So, it’s the Republican recession.
And, while we’re at it, the Republican insurance rescissions.

* With James “Dow 36,000″ Glassman running Bush’s library, how could they?

Understand the German contingent in Afghanistan is having problems. They are getting to fat sitting around their camps drinking beer.

The main topic will be matters related to the torture inquiries (or their lack I suppose).

How ironic that the worst administration ever claims it kept us safe, guess 911 didn’t really happen, and this one appears actually to have done so in detecting explosives being planned.

FAIL seems to be the major characteristic of 2001 – 8

Wasn’t Mc Chrystal involved in the Tillman assassination cover-up?
Think what the republicans gained from his assassination. In the future he could have run for president, same as JFK on his military record, along with his intellect. He was coming home to call Bullshit on the military solution to all our problems.Who did dick’s assassination team target?
Following Mc Chrystal’s advise is bad advise.

Good question. Why not cap executive salaries of Silicon Valley and the bloated salaries of modern day gladiators.

The republicans need to go on record one more time supporting the Iraq & Afghan wars, how they want to send more troops, and how they support President Obama because he is the president right or wrong….just like they said for the 8 years under George Bush!

Boy, I really wish we had a kewl black guy for President instead of Bush. Things would sure change then. Are we EVER having another election? It’s like the same guy is ALWAYS President.

It seems like 9/11 was YEARS ago. Should we still just go shopping? Or what? I’m all out of orange stuff to wear for the alerts.

You know, I found that to be the most irritating, feeble excuse I’ve heard from this administration. Couldn’t Obama’s advisors come up with something a little better than: “I am the beginning of a new era! No need to look back. Everything has changed, and life begins anew with me!” What a hubristic excuse.
It begs the rejoinder: “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” And, as we all know, that is exactly what’s going happen.

Silicon Valley actually produces products that perform as they should. Sports figures wouldn’t make the outrageous salaries they do if people would not pay the outrageous ticket prices. When I lived in LA (75-77) box seats 8 rows from the front on the 1st base side were under 10 bucks. Those same seats in the newer stadiums go for up to $1300. I know people of modest means who think nothing of paying $200 to watch the Bucs. Every week. It’s cheaper than being locked into a multi-year season ticket contract. I know others who are giving up their season tickets when the contract expires this year.

Apparently not. They’re saying that things have gotten worse for labor in Iraq since the invasion & occupation. The fascist anti-labor laws under Saddam have not been repealed and unemployment is much higher. They’re in the U.S. to visit U.S. labor leaders.

The fascist anti-labor laws of Saddam are probably one of the things the Bush regime philosophically shared with Saddam.

You cannot fix stupid, especially when it is Ann Coulter. But she is promoting violence against President Obama. Its OK when you are a neo-con. The left is to blame for all the political violence, if you do not include Irak.

“All political violence is committed by the left in this country,” Coulter remarked, adding wryly, “So you want these tea parties to be as safe as post offices and public schools, where people aren’t allowed to be armed.” “So you are saying you do not oppose people carrying guns within range of the President of the United States,” Rivera continued.

“More guns, less crime,” Coulter replied.

“So believe that people should carry long guns with telescopic sights within range of the president of the United States?” Rivera asked. “I think that’s absolutely insane.”

Coulter said that the portrayal of individuals at tea party protests being close to President Obama was falsely portrayed by the press, adding, “By the way, I’m more likely to be shot than the president.”

I’ve had Vista for a year and have experienced not one problem with it. My machine came with the 64-bit Home Premium Edition. The Enterprise Edition used by businesses, however, sucks big time. A fine point but Micro$oft is in Redmond, WA not Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley does a lot of “third party” software.
