Aloha, ES…!
Eureka!
Howdy, newt…! ;-)
tuttle!
How’s the mountain? Hey, did I hear that you applied for a government job?
Hey folks!
How’s the high-up job CTuttle? What do you enjoy most about it?
Mauna Kea Park Ranger… Not affiliated with the Federal NPS, but, ran by the state… We shall see if I at least get interviewed…! ;-)
You would know the terrain pretty well, I guess.
Oh, and the cool hat.
The views of both the sunset and sunrise before and after each nite… Tonite’s was pretty spectacular with a nice smattering of clouds to capture the pinks and reds…! ;-)
Oh, for a chance to work outside the office bubble! (meaning fresh air) Love it!
You can see some of what I’m describing here…
CT – I’m over here now!
ES – that first video is hilarious and plenty strange.
Heh, 3 am in the middle of Dec. with 30-40 mph winds and a foot of snow on the ground does leave alot to be desired…! ;-)
CT, can you redirect us? Linky not working.
Big Isle or Maui(or Oahu)…?
I’m with you Chris
Can be Cleveland, too1
Sorry…
sounds better than Minnesnowta!
*waves at ES & the rest of the Pups*
CT, wonderful! Back to see…
Heh, I do have to agree, in that, I do have the luxury of heading down to the balmy climes… Ya’ll are stuck…! ;-)
Btw, Fellow Virgo, Happy belated B-Day…! *g*
*terrist fist jab w CT* belated Happy Happy yerself! Us Virgos rawk.
New academic year, yea! So much to learn as librarians and bibliographers – new electronic products and some new technologies.
*bump* I just hopped over to the Beach Haus…! ;-)
Oh how I wish! Actually I meant over here as, in at FDL, as opposed to popping in at Betsy’s.
ET! Good evening.
Pix. Luiza ….. hmm?
Yes. I AM nagging *g*
Çool! Best luck with the new job.
Hmmm… Still no ES sighting, eh…? Well, I need to suit up for my first shift… See ya’ll in about an hour…! ;-)
Evening, ndfg.
Do you have a favorite Time Dorsey title you’d recommend?
I applied for it… Don’t even know if I’ll be interviewed… My fingers and toes are crossed…! Ta-ta…!
I’m nagging, too.
Luiza must be a state secret, or very un-photogenic (unlikely).
nite tuttle
Happy Birthday to you and NDFG.
happy birthday you guys!
ES!
Everyone!
happy birthday both of you. later ct.
Helloooo to all!
Love both videos ES, but I’m stealing the 1st one, 6 Day Riot. Those folks are a HOOT!
margot!
kelly!
and larue – get your ass up here. being morose about where we are is half-way to admitting defeat, and we are not there yet.
Hope you have lots of books too. Nothing like a book in the hand.
newtonusr!
Yeah Larue, get yer buns up here [if yer somewhere else!]
YOU LIE!
Hey Kelly!
[while waving magic blog wand…]
And You Too, FunnyWheelieDiva! Get yer fanny over here, wherever you are.
I must torment you!
Margot!
Having to act in defense of “YOU LIE!” is painful right now.
But yeah.
No man. Es verdad.
No excuse. She is a new product, but it’s now September.
Luiza for US Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts!
What’s up with Glenn Becks 9-12 Klan rally? Death rattles of the GOP?
When you are two-for-two in getting scalps, throw yourself a party!
Well done…LOL
I’m humbled, hoss . . .
Bless you and all our pup pals and pallettes.
Me and mine are fresh home Tuesday late, from 7 daze of festing and pickin and sippin and supping in the Sierra.
I’m now sufferin from shoulder and nerve ending twitches in right arm and elbow, Chiro is my pal!
Not sleepin, worried, and pissed.
Damn happy from the fest and pickin and DAMN fuckin pissed about the planet.
Damn pissed. But hey, we march on, I guess.
Thanks for the shout out. Appreciate the inclusion!
Damn we need some change! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!
‘K, better now . . .lol
Van Jones… who’s the other scalp?
Weeee! Long story short, I’m arguing in email about positions I took during the primary season in 2008. Yields a thing I forgot about making, but I still think is funny.
Barbie! Before there was Caribou Barbie!
Killin me, please, don’t ever stop, thanks, forkin (as Suz sez) love you peeps! *waves* *grins*
Yosi Sergant
*waves a stack of books at Sunny* Tim Dorsey’s website kinda explains the two ways you can go thru the books. If you like his stuff, you can’t stop at one. Serge’s blog gives a bit of the flavor of the main character’s point of view.
“No man is an island.”
(he’s a peninsula, with snickers after the line)
Old Jeff Airplane. Sigh.
Hey margot! Hey kelly!
Sounds great.
Hit the chiro, then the sack, then we start up all over again.
*HEART*
Thanks gal for all you do, and share . . .
Some folks are just close to the heart, and many are in here, as you are.
*G*
God damn I’m sloppy soundin tonite . . . LOLOLOL
But I MISSED my proggy pals!! *waves*
That really sux. On the bright side, It will likely be a very short time before Glenn Beck is sent away in a straight jacket. Sad times though.
Sunny!
It can’t happen too soon.
Personally I prefer pallerina, but that’s just me.
Swear to god hoss, if a REAL Public Option don’t make it, the streets will with our bodies like never before.
I have faith in that, I do.
And that’s what it’s gonna take.
Pure kind, non violent, and MASS civil disobedience.
And I’m not sure what will happen when millions of middle class, uninsured, unemployed and unhappy folks DO hit the streets.
But I’ll be there, and I’ll be smiling.
*G*
He actually had his Psychiatrist come on the show recently to help him sort things out.
You’re right, of course.
It is the best tool we have, if we learn how to use it in very large quantities.
*waves at larue* glad you’re back, dood. Heard some newgrass on the radio the other nite and thought of you & mrsLarue festing away.
Pelosi is taking tea with United Healthcare. The Public Option is dead, dead, dead.
Thank you for watching. I could not bring myself to see more than the snippets that KO and Rachel and Colbert post.
Thanks! Hiassen has me in a Florida mood.
Pallerina? Italiano, dia bono madre mia? *G*
A cue causa?
Hell, my italian sucks, but I cook it great. *G*
Love you all, thanks for lettin me be a pup too.
We piddle, poop, eat and run free.
That don’t suck, huh . . *G*
NITERS! *waves*
the main character in Dorsey’s books is a Florida trivia buff, and vernacular architecture enthusiast. It almost makes me want to visit florida!
I should post at RP some pics and the thrills we had this fest.
Simply, incredible, the vibes, camp love, and great, great stage music.
But for now, I gotta fix this wing, dang it.
And I thought I was fully healed!!!
But our 16th fest was the schizz! And that’s healing . . . *G*
*poof*
Really. I mean it, Helen. ;-)
LOL There’s the Larue we know and love.
Hey Sunny, Newton!
Um, what substance are you gonna use in very large qualities and are you going to share?
Edit–never mind, read only the last line.
I would certainly be overmatched in a 60’s trivia contest with Larue.
And he can cook, too.
Alas, tequila days are long gone.
But I haven’t been to enough mass protests. The ones I have been to were mind-blowing.
ciao..
I had one tequila day in about 19-something, and it was one day too many.
I had more than one, and the last one was remarkable in that the restaurant in question closed days later.
Cadillac Bar, SF – RIP.
Dang it…! Larue done came and went while I was outside, eh…!
Oof, it’s cold out there with a steady 25mph breeze a’blowing…! It’s gonna be a long nite for moi…! 8-(
You have coats in Hawaii, right?
Snowsuits even…! ;-)
Man, I was just reading Sirota’s post at Openleft on Pelosi’s apparent caving on the PO…! What a crock of crap…! 8-(
At however many thousands of feet, I guess.
ok, i’m heading for the horizontal
nite tuttle
nite pups
So, how cold is it? My neighbor from Minnesota says that, once upon a time, he put a bucket of boiling water on the back porch, and it froze so fast the ice was still warm. That’s cold!
What is going on over in Wingnuttia land…?
G’nite Newt. Sweet dreams.
OMFG. Kettle meet pot.
Heh, I remember hearing that one when I was a wee lad in northern Alberta…! ;-)
Aloha, newt…!
Okay, so it’s a classic. What year was that?
Late 60’s-early 70’s…
Gotta go outside again… Caio, wigwam, if I don’t see ya again…! 8-)
Okay, so I’m 99% certain I heard it between ‘57 and ‘64, in Minnesota. There was another great localism in those days, because there was a state-wide referendum on whether or not to adopt daylight savings time.
So this lady calls her assemblyman and demands that he vote to repeal daylight-savings time, because the extra hour of sunlight is burning up her lawn.
Heh, I’ve gotta remember that one…! ;-)
However, here in the Isles we never recognize it…!
This is righteous Kharma…
How sweet it is…! ;-)
I wish Nadler, Baldwin, and Polis, the Best of Luck…
However, I don’t think it’ll survive through the Senate…! 8-(
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. Ms. Collins, in “Parsing Mr. Wilson’s Apology,” says after a certain amount of arm-twisting by Republican leaders, Joe Wilson did apologize for his outburst in Congress. Now we are going to move on to arguing about the apology. Mr. Blow, in “Fired Up? Ready to Fight?”, says President Obama’s display of anger on Wednesday was interesting, but an affectation. The president wears outrage like another man’s suit. It doesn’t quite fit. Mr. Herbert, in “The Wild Card,” says to get meaningful health care reform this time around, the Democrats will have to get the average citizen on board. They haven’t yet.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and I’ve got French toast made from challah, with a hint of cinnamon. Given that it’s the day of the 912 Project, that glorious brainchild of Glenn Blech, I’ve also supplied something a bit stronger. The things that should be cold are in the fridge, the room temperature items are over there, and there’s lots of ice in the freezer. So — any bets on how much wall-to-wall coverage these whackaloons will get? Have a great day.
Good morning, Marion-Not-Troll.
I’ll take an order of your Freedom toast.
[P.S. Having seen the 9/12 clowns up close and personal
at a HCR town hall,I agree that it’s going to be an ugly day.]
Some of us are old enough to remember when lying under oath was considered a big deal.
Good morning. You certainly put the fox in the hen house yesterday! I’m surprised that so many folks fell for it — probably insufficient caffeine.
Sweet twitching baby Jesus… Good Morning America now has Jim DeMint on, and it’s wall-to-wall about 912… I’m gonna put a big old slug of strong stuff in my coffee…
