If you think the two major parties are coalitions, try to form a party out of the remainder. The two Pennsylvnia judges who sold hundreds of children into false imprisonment by private prison companies over a decade-long reign of terror (and took millions in bribes) got indicted on 48 counts each of racketeering, conspiracy and a host of other Federal charges… after state officials failed to move against them for years. As far as I’m concerned, those two are easily among the worst human beings alive…. the very worst examples of American corruption and our imploding political culture.

I’m generally opposed to the death penalty and I know you can’t get sentenced to die for what they did, but IMO this type of corruption – when you use official power to terrorize communities and destroy hundreds of lives – deserves to be made an example of with the ultimate punishment. Fortunately, it looks like they’ll at least have to go to jail for the rest of their pathetic lives. I just wish the story got more coversge… there’s way too much of this type of stuff going on these days. That torture sheriff in Phoenix is still in office….
