What Obama really means is “stay in the great socialist mind-meld” where you might meet people with other experiences and real-world problems. Some place where the experiences can’t be utterly framed by controlling parents. The institution that is intended to give a chance for some to break through their bars of social class and income.

Of course most conservatives hate schools…public education, that is. Remember the “Bell Curve” whose thesis was that education for the poor and middle class intended to make them rise above their “station” was worthless. Intelligence was highly heritable….and tied to social class. Those upper class kids were really the only ones that might benefit from better educations. That could be obtained in private schools. Why waste the money on public schools? Except maybe for some sort of technical education, that is. Math, Science, English…that stuff is for those who need to make the decisions in society…

Next thing you know these landless peasants will want to vote.

Good morning, pups. It’s Bobo and Mr. Herbert this morning. In “The Bloody Crossroads” Bobo says a new quarterly magazine called National Affairs occupies the bloody crossroads where social science and public policy meet matters of morality, culture and virtue. The principal of my son’s charter school sent out a letter last week which said in so many words that he was choosing not to subject a “captive audience” to what many considered political posturing. I just sent him an email with the full text and a note that it was ironic for me to be forced to keep my son home to hear a message about staying in school.

And yes, I would have done the exact same thing if this had been the prepared speech for a GWB presidency last year. The message is what’s important, not the party.

Now that I think about it, the principal might be between a rock and a hard place, what with the large amount of McCain/Palin bumper stickers I see on the SUVs there every morning when I’m dropping off my kid…

My local school district poobahs (Portsmouth NH) have, over the weekend, changed their collective little minds and decided to allow the local children to be indoctrinated by Chavez’ friend Obama. I have no idea if this change of mind was as a result of all the phone calls made to them by the members of the local communist cell but I can only assume so. Another local school district (Somersworth NH) is, I believe, still intent on protecting our poor vulnerable youngsters from the non-white, socialist, occupant of the white house so we will still have some school children growing up with good ol’ murcan values. I did hear that they were debating whether to invite O’Reilly, Beck or Dobbs to a “blooding” ceremony for the third through fifth graders to be held at the end of October.

Well you do tend to get what you pay for when you send your children to an american madrassa.

Let me attempt to help you understand why people do not want THIS president to talk to the children. In the bible there is a secret code. It is soooo well hidden that it has taken centuries to figure out. They are equidistant letter sequences, or ELSs.
