New videos from Jeremy Messersmith and Cass McCombs.
What’s on your mind tonight?
That was just to screw up EvilDrPuma’s “kwatz” :]
Welcome to the thread, Governor Palin.
Lucinda Williams – Joy
Hi, ES and Pups!
I was looking for some lightness.
Kwutz. Also. :]
What? No Kwotz?
Can I too?
Nice to see you again.
Chuck Berry – Promised Land
*runs off to find a secluded spot*
Oh, he is wonderful! Thanks MrWhy!
I’ll find you, my pretty!
ES – omg, are you in a downer mood? I skipped Messersmith, and the McComb’s song is really quite something. It reminds me of a story I know from personal life.
John Hiatt – A Crazy Girl Is Hard To Find
John Hiatt – She Loves the Jerk
That explains the flying monkeys.
Actually the Messersmith song is quite good. The McCombs video is excellent.. with an odd ending, which didn’t seem to fit the song at all.
And no, not down at all, just bringing the best of what’s new to y’all tonight. It’s been a very strange summer for new music overall.
John Hiatt – She Said The Same Things To Me
Sorry – I didn’t mean to project a mood on you.
But that Executioner song is good, but a wee bit disturbing.
Not at all… wondered if or how long it would take for someone to notice the darkness in the selection. lol
Hi ES, all.
Grasped by the wrist in a used book store today by a woman looking for Billo books. With a fanatical light in her eye, she explained it was our duty to locate his books and distribute them to everyone we know.
What’s billo up to these days?
I kwitz too.
This time for real.
LMAO. I might have told her I bought them all and burned them at my Pinko Socialist picnic last week.
Did it leave a mark?
Morris, you had the good fortune to see an early version of Neil’s newest movie?
Ah, presence of mind! I haz little.
Neil Young Trunk Show
Haven’t seen Neil in a while. Without spilling too many beans, Pegi emailed me yesterday and told me Ben (their son with CP) had a really rough summer with health problems which has pretty much buried them socially.
However, I may be getting the chance in the not too distant..
Positive thoughts heading that way.
So i adopted a kitty from the Humane Society last week. She’s perfect, about a year old they said.
I named her Louiza.
She caught her first mouse last night… I gave her a B minus since she didn’t kill it.
Sunny…I have to confess I hide those books behind other books or in the library, in the mythology section. Not much traffic in that section.
Pix. We need Louiza pix.
We really do!
You could also put them in the abnormal psychology section.
Yep, Tiger pix have been proven to elevate human moods, ES.
I’ll take some tomorrow.
Hey Newt-saw your excellent Sorkin “beaver” post (originally offered by Bruno Gianelli.)
I worked as a temp in Sears toy department during Christmas in San Francisco… years ago. My job was demonstrating a toy computer. Anyway, each morning I would immediately go to the G.I. Joe and war toy section and turn everything around. I did that for weeks without fail. The only way I knew someone noticed is because someone would turn them all back around during the night.
They paid me 15 bucks an hour to do that.
I thought that might draw you out.
And nice catch on the Bruno.
It worked. Been laying low today. I usually communicate pretty well, but learned a while ago that on the days I miss, it’s better to take a break.
There are days when my typing doesn’t reflect my thoughts, and it can be ugly.
On second thought, maybe it’s because my typing DOES reflect my thoughts that it’s ugly.
Perhaps this woman knew all the tricks. She was seeking billo in the mystery section:-/
Dealer (who intervened, bless her) said she’d recently taken a book in trade to later discover the “bad words” had been deleted in magic marker.
Know what you mean. But it’s worse when you’ve typed what you meant and it comes out Romanian. *g*
Good night firedogs.
I think it means hunger or something.
in a way-”I don’t understand.”
Nite Sunny, ES and Morris.
plimbărică = hunger
OHHHH- see, just missing all day.
I think I’ll get some sleep and start fresh tomorrow. Nice talking with you Newton.
I hear that. Like having one bunged-up spark plug.
nite emerson. i’m out too.
